Not able to send or receive fax

I have the Laserjet Pro 200 Color MFP printer which I use wireless and works unil very well now. When you send, I get the "no fax not detected, no fax received" and when sending a fax, I hear ringing but it connects never, no answer. I uninstalled and reinstalled, checked the telephone line, changed the small adjustments, but nothing works. I did a test fax and all this HAPPENED, I did a test network and all it works as well. There are 2 telephone lines, one is an only dedicated fax line and the other line has a voicemail by Verizon system, but only the fax line is connected to the printer that goes directly to the wall outlet. Two phone lines work and have a dial tone. Thus, any help on what to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi bertley32,

Thanks for letting me know.

Try to send a fax to the rear HP fax number: 1-888-473-2963, to see if you have the same results.

If you connect a phone to the printer, can call you?

Update the firmware of the printer. Color HP LaserJet Pro 200 pilot M276nw MFPS.

Please check your messages for additional steps to try.

Thank you.

  • Status window component-fax fax Windows does not appear when sending or receiving

I can send and receive faxes using Microsoft fax in windows component, but fax status window does not appear when sending or receiving.  How can I fix?

Assuming that long ago, that you have installed Service Pack 1 for Windows XP, your problem may be a badly configured third-party firewall.  See http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/4a29389c214c78ea88256c75005f451a/713afacbd4135e0a88256c77007e526f?OpenDocument

Also take a look in the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK) for errors or warnings related to the fax system.  If you find one, double-click on it to open the event properties, and click on 2 pages below the up/down arrow icon to copy the events to the Clipboard.  Then paste it in your response.

  • Difficult to send and receive faxes long distances

    Hello-

I am running Window Vista Ultimate 32-bit with SP2.  I have bad to send and receive faxes.  Particularly faxes sent or from another area code (IE over long distances).  I have an Agere Systems PCI-sV92PP.  I use McAfee antivirus and have followed all the steps using Vista.

I tried to update the driver with no luck.  The error code I get when sending, said "cannot be sent due to an unexpected error".  "The error I get when receiving is call cannot respond by fax.

Something of note, when you send, if I click on the box next to contacts for formatting a business rule, the country / region default is UK and USA not.  I tried to change the sending, but it doesn't seem to help, and I was able to change the default value.

    Any help is appreciated.

If you are sure that your Modem configuration, drivers and compatibility with Vista, the modem is correct see if a third-party program is causing the problem, maybe McAfee interferes?

  • How to use windows 8 to send and receive faxes

    Dear Sirs,

My computer is running in the windows operating system 8.

Could you help me put up my computer so that I can use it to send and receive faxes.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Yoon Choy Loo

    Hi Yoon Choy Loo,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities.

After your description, I understand that you need help setting up the windows 8 in order to send and receive faxes. Let me help you with it.

Please follow the steps below to configure the fax:

    1. Hold the Windows key + C and type Fax and press ENTER.
    2. The Fax Configuration Wizard starts. Click Next.
    3. On the sender information page, type the information that you want to appear on your fax cover page. You don't have to fill in all the boxes. Then, click Next.
    4. The Fax Configuration Wizard displays the Select Device page to send or receive faxes. If you want to be able to receive incoming faxes, check the box to receive. If the telephone line you logged on to your computer is for faxes only, click on answer automatically after. If you want to manually answer incoming faxes, click Manual answer. Then, click Next.
    5. On the page of the Subscriber Identification (TSID), type the information you want in the TSID box. In general, it is a company name or your name and fax number. Click Next.
    6. On the page of the Subscriber called (CSID), type your information in the CSID box. The CSID that you enter is displayed on the fax machine of the origin of the fax. This number allows you to confirm that you send the fax to the right recipient. The CSID is usually the same as the TSID. Click Next.
    7. In the Routing Options page, choose whether you want to automatically print a fax. If you do not automatically print incoming faxes, they will be available in the Fax Console. Select Print on check box if you want each fax that you receive to be automatically printed. Then, click Next.
    8. End the SCW fax page, click Finish.
    9. The Fax Configuration Wizard closes and opens a Windows security alert. If you are prompted, click on unlock.
    10. Your computer is now ready to send and, possibly, to receive faxes. You can use the fax to go through the incoming or outgoing faxes, or upon receipt of a fax manually.

Please follow the steps below to use the fax on windows 8:

    1. Open the document, Web page, or e-mail to fax.
    2. On the file menu, click on print.
    3. In the print dialog box under Select printer, click Fax, and then click on print.
    4. In the welcome in the Send Fax Wizard page, click Next.
    5. On the recipient information page, type the name of the recipient in the box to type the recipient fax number in the fax number box. If you want to send the fax to more than one recipient, type the recipient information in the appropriate boxes, and then click Add. The recipient appears in the list and the areas are cleared so that you can enter additional information about the recipient. When you have finished adding recipients, click Next.
    6. On the preparation, the cover Page, select Select a page template to cover with the following information box. Click on the model in the cover page template list. Fill area of subject line and, eventually, the box Notes . Then, click Next.
    7. On the schedule page, click Next.
    8. End Send Fax Wizard page, click Finish.

The above steps will help you set up your fax machine and use the feature in windows 8.

I hope that the information above helps you. Answer please come back for additional assistance.

  • Error message says that my system doesn't have the ability to read (.) Not able to read the incoming faxes and outgoing of the TIF files).

    Original title: MS Fax.

I try to read the incoming or outgoing faxes. A message says that my system doesn't have the ability to read (.) TIF files).

    How to solve the problem?

    Thank you

    Alex

The 'Support' engineer's response is the dumbest answer I've seen in a long time.

At least as much as I understand your problem, you have no problems, send or receive faxes, but rather, you can not view the faxes that have been sent or received.

You need to get Windows Picture and Fax Viewer works again (or get a new app to view TIF files).

Click Start, then click Run, and then type the following in the "Open" box and click OK

    regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

Don't forget the space after the 32

A dialog box should include the following:

    "DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW. DLL succeeded.

If it does not, type the following in the box 'open '.

    regsvr32 %windir%\system32\shimgvw.dll

And if that fails, go to C:\Windows\system32 and check that there is a file called shimgvw.dll (or does not).

  • Photosmart 7510 - eFax and fresh toll to send and receive faxes

Hi, one of the reasons why I bought my Photosmart 7510, was the free eFax features 20 pages sent and 20 pages receive FREE. So, when I used the eFax for the first time, he gave me a (long-distance) number. I had no other choice but to accept that number. So whenever someone could send me a fax (even if it's in the same area code), they will have to pay toll. It is not too bad. But when I sent a fax to a local recipient (same code regional I), the outgoing fax number (10 digits) turn at the 01 11 then the fax number! If I understand correctly, I had to dial a number of countries to send a fax to my neighbor. Is there something I'm missing or 20 pages are free but you will have to pay toll every time I send or receive faxes?

With eFax, your faxes are sent through the internet, not the phone line.  Phone connections are all made with the eFax service but your part of the process of eFax is done through your internet connection.

  • Fax failure - can't send or receive faxes

    HP Officejet Pro 8600

I started to get this message... fax failure that is impossible to send or receive faxes

The phone line also makes a busy signal.  When I unplug the fax machine from the wall, my telephone system is no longer occupied.

If the port is damaged or can I somehow fix it.

I tried all the solutions written.  Only, I went out and bought an EPSON Workforce 3640.  It works very well... Also, I get telephone assistance even when it is out of warranty.

I'm done with HP for now.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now after restarting and baseline activity calmed down, try again your SMS.

And no, there is no virus on your BlackBerry or any BlackBerry. Has never been yet, you're not the first.
