I have a HP Officejet 6500 has more.  It allows to print and scan but the copies are to come in white.

Hey, here's a link for y our question, it says empty and white scans copies, but it breaks down in their own separate headings, here is the link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03111687

If that does not help the problem, a sequel to the above listed link I would do a hard rest is: while the printer is on, pull on the power cord to the printer and the wall. After 30 seconds reconnect power to the wall and printer. This will trigger a 'dirty power upwards' and restoring the printer to a State well known (if possible). No user settings are lost with a "hard reset." I'm pulling directly the instructions for this process of a hardware instruction guide. I'm sticking to it would have shown here Word for Word. I hope this helps

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus. How to get a fax received to print in black and white and not the other way around

I'm using an iMac with OS X 10.6.8.  A fax sent to me is loaded into a folder open on my desktop.  The fax image is white on black al, though the original was black on white paper.  It prints white on black background.  How to reverse the image to black on white?

Ok. Well I don't believe that you are able to reverse the colors directly on the printer. Once the image has been saved using this color format, you will need to reverse the image on the computer first, then the corrected file printer.

You can invert the colors using the preview. Once you open the image in preview if you select "Tools" then "Color Adjust". Here you will be presented with slidered for black and white levels. To "reverse" all colors, you need to do is the slider level black all the way to the right, then drag the white slider completely to the left.

Let me know if it works for you!

  • HP printer Officejet 6500 a Plus

I bought a new printer and want to get rid of my old printer (HP Officejet 6500 a Plus).  My question is: is there any reader of memory in the printer I'm tossing or is it just just to throw it away?

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

You can restore the default printer.

Theres no hard drive on the PC but if you don't save any number of fax on this subject, you may want to delete that.

Usually, we cut the strip of coding, break the glass of the scanner and cut other visible wires before disposing of it so that the printer is "beyond economic repair" for anyone who can pick it up.

    Hope that helps.

I tried cycling power offshore for the router and the printer.

Even my scanner picks up signals from the printer. I don't know where's the disconnect?

    Windows 7 64

    HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One - E710n

    Wireless connection

Until recently, I noticed that it takes a good 45-60 seconds to print. From the moment that I hit print say at the start of the printing printer. Real bummer, but today I tried to scan and got an error "Scanner communication cannot be established... "I've uninstalled all the drivers and the printer and reinstalled same thing any suggestions I have to be able to scan.

    Hey alsmith1964,

It seems that the network communication between the PC and the printer has become lost or locked up.  The first step, I would suggest in this case is to perform a cycle of power to all devices in the network circuit.

Follow these steps to reset your printer HP, your router and your computer.

    1. To turn it off, press the power button on the HP printer.
    2. Unplug the power cord at the back of the HP printer.
    3. Unplug the power cord from the wireless router.
    4. Turn off the computer.
    5. Wait 30 seconds.
    6. Reconnect the power cable to the wireless router.
    7. Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is completely ready.
    8. Turn the computer on.
    9. Wait for the computer to recharge.
    10. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the HP printer.
    11. Turn on the printer.

I would like to know if it is able to get the question to be resolved,

    Hey @FerFer,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support. I hope you enjoy your experience here.

I understand that you are unable to print from your iOS devices using your HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One - E710n. I want to help you with this.

What you describe, it seems that you use AirPrint when the error message appears.  With this printer, you have three ways to print from iPhone / iPad. The most common method is called AirPrint. For your information, "AirPrint is a solution of mobile printing included with Apple's iOS v4.2 and later mobile operating systems.

iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users can print wirelessly on any HP ePrint-enabled printer which is connected to the same local wireless network. Most of the released HP printers in 2010 and later support AirPrint.
