  • I want to install Internet Explorer so I can view the web pages I've created, but why I can't install it from Firefox?

I downloaded IE twice, and whenever it says he installed and that I have to restart my PC but there is no sign of IE. Firefox keeps the installation?

I believe that Windows 7 includes Internet Explorer 9 when you get it- or at least Internet Explorer 8. You should just have to download if you want to update, and even in this case, it would be more prudent to go through Windows update.

With respect to the IE icon, it appears in the start menu? If so, you do a right-click and PIN to the taskbar for easy access.

  • Windows Media Player not able to synchronize audio files for MP3 player

    Windows Media Player 11 issues

I updated win xp home edition from sp2 to sp3. Also updated for Windows Media Player 11. WM11, I cannot sync to my mp3 player that I could use this feature in sp2 and the latest version of WM. Sometimes it will play music on the mp3 player, but close WM11 after a period short piece. When WM11 opens, I choose a song and play music for a brief period before an error box appears stating windows media must be closed due to erroer or error DRM Setup utility. Sometimes, it closes when you click on a song without any error message that appears. Updates that I updated to Windows Media. Have not tried burning / ripping any CD or adding new music to the library. Just try to play files of current music and trying to put music on an mp3 player. MP3 player is a simple player RCA 'Pearl '. Nothing complicated. Never had any problems before WM11. Can roll back to WM 9.5 (I think)... but no sync button. WM 10 does not able to download Pack SP3. Don't know what to do. Questions about this on the Microsoft Web site do not meet my windows media problems.

    Hello

Thanks for the reply. I uninstalled WMP11. Old version had the ability to sync... just had to learn to move into the old version... different screen. I'll go back and try your method.

  • Just installed SP3 for XP - now many of my icons are generic "executable", including MS Apps

I finally just installed SP3 for XP and will have proplems with my icons.  Many of my shortcuts desctop now have generic icon for an executable file, and I can't get back them to the icon on the right, even using TweakUI.  This includes all applications of MS Office 2007.  Are still not working the icons to launch the application, but I can't retrieve the appropriate icon.

When I right click an icon of 'good', I get a full menu of options, including those installed with other applications (like adding a archive, WinRAR).  With a "generic" icon, I get only the default list.

When I choose Properties for a 'good' icon, the target lists the full path to the .exe file and is editable.  I can also click on the three buttons at the bottom.  With a 'generic' in the properties icon, the target is simply the name of the program (Outlook 2007 lists "Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007") and is grey, so I can't change it.  In addition, the "Find target" and "Change icon" buttons are gray.

Finally, the files associated with these applications have also lost their icons and now show just generic file icons.  However, double click on these files still brings the correct application and the 'Type' is always listed correctly.

Any ideas on how I could fix this?  Thank you!

OK, I thought about it... and feel kind of stupid but I did not before.  In any case, I posted the question, so I'll share my answer - the long version.

During my first install of XP on my machine, I did a 10 GB partition which would be fair for the operating system.  After a few years, it became clear that it was a little too small, this partition began to fill.  When I first tried to go to SP3, I didn't have enough space on this partition to complete it.  then, I moved some files on the main data partition.  One of the folders, I moved a C:\WINDOWS\Installer.  I didn't know that this file was required for some of the icons on my desktop .exe.

Anyway, I moved everything back to where it belongs, and now everything is back to normal.  Learn something new every day if you're not careful!

DVD player doesn't work after installing SP3 for Windows XP. That it disappeared from "MY COMPUTER". Device Manager sees it, but there's a yellow exclamation mark over it. See the BIOS of the motherboard and it still works in the BACK. I know SP3 is a collection of updates, but I'm not sure that is my problem. • Not able to download Xbox Live for Xbox account nine following an error 80151103 that says "Xbox Live profiles can be downloaded right now.

    Original title: error 80151103

This is partly a matter of Xbox Live and a Windows Live ID. I posted my question on Xbox Live support first forums well and I have spoken here.

During the month, I was not able to download Xbox Live for my Xbox account nine following an 80151103 error that says "Xbox Live profiles cannot be downloaded at this time." I have a ticket with the help of Xbox Live, but they have degenerated my problem as much as they could and told me to come in with ID Windows Live ID. the ID support Windows Live told me to return to Xbox Live and then finally just to post a question here. I need my cloned account, and I know it's the only way. Technicians XBL could not even reproduce my problem using my account. I am about to cancel my subscription to Xbox Live because of how long I've been troubleshooting with support without result.

Why XBOX Live pass the ball in this way I don't know. This site has nothing to do with and no influence on XBOX Live or GFWL.
Nothing can be done on the XBOX here accounts because it is a community forum.  Maybe they mean to send you to the monopoly$ oft support?
What you have said I thought understand that you visited the Games for Windows Live site/pages below, what relevance they would have, if any, to your XBOX account that I don't know.

    On Live

"I'm about to cancel my Xbox Live subscription because of how long I went through troubleshooting with support without success."

I would certainly, but I don't have an XBOX so don't know if you can play without subscription. It's the old rock-anvil routine.

    Hello

It seems that the "Gamification" has not been activated because learners can win and compare points with their colleagues based on rules defined by the 'administrator ' in the Gamification.

You can check with the administrator of your side on the Gamification has been activated or not.

  • Not able to see the published task and not able to reset the version for the task

    Hello

Created a task, validated, by selecting the task button you click on publish in the tools to publish the task.
Customer application (Callcenter) sailed Administration - Business Process - > deployment task
Here, unable to see the task added to activate.

I tried twice to copy folder but not able to see.
I am not able to reset the version for the created task.

Could you please let me know how to overcome these.

Using the database of the siebel8.0.0.5 example

    Thank you

NO, you don't have to copy the srf tools file to the location of the customer.

just when compiling your project or changes you must click on the Browse button and navigate to the customer i.e. srf "/ web client/objects/enu/siebel.srf".

but before, also compile all projects to the strategic outcomes of the client.

the other thing you should check is client and tools should point to the same database that you should check the cfg files of the two respectively in [[example]] section connectstring = "\sample\utf-8\sse_samp.dbf."

no doubt, maybe that's the problem.

  • Not able to download & install computer Windows XP SP3.

Original title: xp pro using updater fails to download and install sp3 - all previous service packs installed successfully. No error code, just a message that it could not install.

No associated error code. prevvious updated worked fine.

When you say "using updater", are you referring to Windows Update or automatic updates? There is a better way.

This method should work without a doubt for you (since you just do a clean install):

    1. download the installation of SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

(If you already have IE8 installed, you must uninstall it for best results. Trust in me.)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

    http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus

    2. disconnect Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates. To do this:

Start | Control Panel (switch to Classic view if not already selected). Automatic updates

    4. install the SP3. Restart TWICE.

5 move to IE8. Restart TWICE.

    6. install anti-virus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

    7. make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should already be):

Start | Control Panel | Security Center

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet. Update Antivirus program.)

8 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates. Restart each time you are prompted.

    9. reactivate the automatic updates.

  • Will not install SP3 for Windows XP.

Download takes about 20 minutes or so, but the installation never ends.

    Through these two articles:

    What offers Shenan Stanley is...

    1. Go to this web page: How to reset the Windows Update components? and use the Fix It utility in aggressive mode.

    2. Reset.

    3. Download here all the SP3 Setup file: Windows XP Service Pack 3 Package of Network Installation for developers and information technology professionals and save it to the Office of the administrator of the user account on the computer in question.

    4. Reset.

    5. Double-click the installation file downloaded in step 3 and follow the instructions.
