Not getting DVD player not detected in Windows 8

My DVD from LG drive is not detected in Windows 8.  I started duel with Windows 7.

As indicated, I typed the following in the admin.

Reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" / f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

In addition it asking me to enter as follows

Type "REG ADD /?" for usage.

What should I do now?

Hello

Something go right...

Hover your mouse over the lower left corner of the office. Click right when the start appears, and then select command prompt (Admin)

Copy and paste this... to avoid typos... and press ENTER.

Reg.exe add "HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0" / f/v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001

Close the command prompt and reboot.

This may or may not solve your problem... There are several causes that push lately... but it's a good starting point.

IM on Windows Vista Home Premium.
I had this problem before and I managed to fix it by unplugging and reconnecting the Cd/dvd drive (nothing to lose, no more warranty), but after doing a system restore, the problem resurfaced again.

The hard drive is a Toshiba MK1637GSX ATA Device
I tried to use the pages of Microsoft support without success. I have no upper and lower filter.
I already tried with also Device Manager nothing doesn't.

    Help, please!

    Hello

Please start from the top and do it, even if you've done it before as is often the
all operations which solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  • HP v125w 2 GB drive flash not detected by windows

My flash drive is not detected by windows what should I do

I have a HP v125w 4 GB flash drive that works on Windows 2000 and 7.  However, I also have a disk 16 GB flash of v125w HP which works on Windows 7, but was not recognized by my system Windows 2000.  Here's what I did to get Windows 2000 to recognize (this may not work for everyone, but it did for me).

I plugged the flash drive to 16 GB on a Windows 2000-based USB port and ran:

Norton SystemWorks-> Norton Utilities-> find and correct problems->

    Norton Disk Doctor-> diagnosis

    that gave me the message:

Insert the diskette to diagnose in the E: drive.

So, I ejected the flash player, it plugged into the USB port and you click on diagnose again.

Norton Disk Doctor consulted the flash drive, diagnosed and gave the following report:

There is no problem detected on drive E:
    Partition table... Jump
    Structures of files... Ok
    Surface test... Jump

After this, the flash player was working fine on my Windows 2000 and Windows 7 computers.

Thus, this procedure is awakened somehow the reader as much as to be recognizable by Windows 2000.  I hope this helps you.

  • Brother printer has not detected by Windows 7 64 bit.

Brother DCP145C has not detected by Windows 7 64 bit. What port is recommended for the local printer - LPT1? Windows 7 should detect when the USB connection, but there is no activity. Similarly, the mode to scan on the printer is not responding to "check connection". Thank you.
Checked the port LPT1 and COM on Device Manager and seem to work correctly. No updated driver needed updated port.

    Hello Richard,.

If several USB devices are plug-and-play, printers need a print driver to work even on a USB port. I went to the Brother website and a research on the model of printer "DCP145C" increase any responses - are you sure the model number of the printer (not the part number)?

You have a printer disk supplied with your printer? If you do, try to use that to install the print driver. As far as LPT1 goes, is for a printer with a parallel port (printer), and the COM ports are for those who use the ports series.

Thus starts with the right model number and look for brother.com right print driver (or use the disc that came with the printer). Try and see if that solves the problem for you.

Let me know how you fare.

    Kind regards

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer
and the manufacturer of the device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
the correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys that I of course are those in question - for the subkeys of the CD/DVD drive
as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
    the parameters.

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\IDE

  • Blu Ray drive not detected on Windows Explorer

I recently formatted my laptop old, unused. It had Windows Vista Enterprise Edition before formatting. I replaced this with Windows 7 Ultimate (with integrated SP1) x 64 OS. I could get all the drivers for the laptop, but to my surprise, the Blu Ray DVD rom was not detected on the Windows Explorer!

Think that Windows may have judged as a disc 'empty', I selected the option to display these empty drives but nothing happened. All I see on my computer is my main hard drive.

I checked the Device Manager, but I did not see a tree menu to DVD/CDROM drives. I've repeatedly scanned for hardware changes, but Device Manager still couldn't get the Blu Ray player.

I tried searching for information and I came across a thread that instructed me to find this registry key and delete the two folders namely "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters" under the
Input HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}. This did not help at all since it does not "Upperfilters" and "Lowerfilters" folder located under this key.

Kind of weird, the DVD Rom works because the drawer opens every time I press the button open on the side of the road.

He used to work before I formatted my laptop. Before formatting, I checked what driver was using the CDROM, I discovered that it was a virtual DTSOFT CDROM device. I tried to search for a driver, but failed to find one. I even tried resetting the BIOS by default settings, but still no luck.

Can someone help me? Thank you very much!

    Hi Dann,

Make sure that the Blu - ray player is correctly connected, because it is not visible in the Device Manager. You may need to disconnect and reconnect the connectors at both ends (mother card reader & Blu - ray).

If the problem persists then I suggest you to check the status on another computer. To confirm that this isn't a problem with the hardware.

Keep us updated on the status of the issue.

  • Old hard drive PS3 by USB box not detected by Windows Vista

    Hello

I recently updated my old HD PS3 40 GB with a 500 GB one. Since then, I bought an external HD for my old HD, in the hope that I could use it as a hard drive for some files I have. However, I encountered a big problem - Windows Vista does not detect the HD.

So far I read a lot of posts on the internet with people having similar problems, but with no definitive answer, so I hoped to get :)

So far, I've tested the speaker on both the different 40 GB and new 500 GB PS3 in HD, as well as 2-3 computers. Nor are detected by windows... both have the power (green light is on, and I can hear the disc rotation), but are not detected on the management of the devices or programs in 3rd (SwissKnife). As far as the computer is concerned, nothing is connected.

Thinking that it was probably a hardware problem, I whipped my laptop HD out and connected on a separate computer and it worked without me even having to he invites. This leads me to believe that the device works perfectly and its something about the PS3 HD, who doesn't like Windows.

The only thing I have not tried is put my old hard drive to the PS3 in the PS3 and reformatting. The only reason for this is a screw on the case of the PS3 has decided, that he's not budging despite all my efforts. Its now 12:45 and I'm too tired to fight with 1 screw more! :) I really don't know not how tabling in so well, 3 others went fine and I deliberately don't screw them in tight with the new HD after I read about the problems people have had by removing the screws.

Someone at - it suggestions at all? How to get Windows to recognize that this has something plugged in, on how to remove that last screw embarrassing! Whatever that either would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Check if the drive works very well with the game station.
Chipset driver update and see if that makes a difference.

Check if the HARD drive is detected in the Device Manager or disk management tool.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of issues, expand disk drives and check the sub for its detection.
    1. Click Start, type diskmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. check if the HARD drive is detected.

If the HARD drive is not detected, try the next step.
Step 1: Connect the HARD drive to the computer and find the hardware check if it detects. To do this, try the following steps.
    1. click on start, type devmgmt.msc and press to enter.
    2. from the list of items, click drives.
    3. click on the Action menu, and then click check for material changes.
    4. follow the wizard to complete the task.
    5. If there is no progress, then click the Action menu and click Add legacy hardware to install the device.

Post back with the results, so that we can help you further.
