Notebook HP 2000 - 2121TU: which RAM to buy?

I have this laptop HP 2000-2121TU running windows 8.1 update 1 32-bit. I want to improve my RAM. I've already posted a question about it & I got to know that this model can be upgraded to 8 GB max, but versions 32 bits can address up to 4GB of RAM. So I need extra 2GB Ram. So can someone advice me who buy RAM like kingston, transcend etc company & my RAM preinstalled is 2 GB of DDR3 Ram, so I need to buy 2 GB memory DDR3 or DDR2? I'm also confused in DDR3 & DDR2.

Help, please.

Hello

The processor supports DDR3 1333 MHz memory modules. I recommend products Corsair, Crucial or Samsung. Kingston and Transcend are also good manufacturers. You and your wallet.

I have a laptop HP 2000-2121TU running Windows 8.1 Pro 32-bit operating system. It is extremely slow when the software highly updated running as office 2013, Chrome, Kaspersky 2015, HP Support Assistant etc. in short it hangs a lot. I want to upgrade the ram & I don't know it's capabilities, please help me.

    Hello

You use "Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)"? 8GB won't help because Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit) addresses only up to 4GB.

    Supports 8192 MB RAM system in the following configurations: ● 8192 MB (4096 MB × 2;

DDR3/1333 MHz dual channel support (downgrade/DDR3 1600 MHz at DDR3-1333)

    Your manual

See page 39 for "how-to". Your specified 4-gig module:

    Module memory 4 GB (PC3 12800, 1600 MHz) 652972-001

    https://www.Amazon.com/HP-10600-579155-001-MMH6114-652972-001/DP/B003L27BB0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8 & qid = 1475677829 & SR = 8-2 & Keywords = 652972-001

It comes to DDR3-1600 and DDR3-1333 1.5 volt memory. None of the "general public" memory manufacturers; Kingston, Crucial, Samsung will have compatible memory and I would stick with them. Try to match what you already have... as many blocks on the side of the module, same side for CL. This will ensure a faster operation dual channel.

    So I have two questions:

No, Windows 7 and Windows 10 require unique product keys and their respective installation files.

If I decide to buy online, some say it's downloadable, how can I reinstall it without using a CD?

Windows 10 is available as a digital download:

    Buy Windows 10 family/professional edition

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

Which hard drive buy for my laptop Toshiba Satellite 15.6 "3 GB HD 320?

You can check the Toshiba site for which specifications you need.  A general rule is to buy something at least two times greater than the one that failed, because the data use and therefore the space doubles every 18 months.

You may want to consider a large enough to allow you to make backups and store in another partition

  • Should what kind of RAM I buy for the desktop Gateway E-2000?

I've updated the pc to 2G of RAM, but it did not, the frozen screen.

The memory was low density pc 2100 266 mhz

Then I tried a high density kit 128 x 64, the 400 mhz, 2 G kit, & it would not connect to Windows, no input signal, said repeatedly.

When I replaced the original sticks, he returned to normal, these statistics were at 400 mhz to 1, & 333 mhz on the other.

Should I try a (64 x 8) low density 400 mhz kit? I see Samsung carries it, same number of spindles for a Dell, would be - it also work in a bridge?

  • HP 2000-2b19wm video ram Allocation

You have a question about the amount of video memory allocated on this laptop. In the production specifications, he said "AMD Radeon HD 6310 Discrete-Class graphics with up to 1972 MB total graphics memory" Accoring to system properties (if you do the math) 409,6 MB ram is allocated to video. If I read this correctly, I could allocate 1.9 GB of ram to the video card. So guess the question is, how can I I do? Or if the system allocates video ram necessary?

Any help to solve this mystery would be greatly appreciated.

The link to the page of the product specification is lower.

    Hello bfldworker,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I read your post about how you look to allocate more memory for the graphics card to your laptop, and I'd be happy to help you in this case!

According to the Specifications of HP 2000 - 2b19WM Notebook PC product, your dedicated graphics processor card will automatically allocate as much RAM as you need for the program that you are running. For example, if you surf on a web browser, you can use that with a few MBs of the video card. If you run a high-end gaming, you might almost be the maximum (1972MB).

    I hope this helps!

  • Pavilion dv6 6117dx: buy 1 4 GB of additional ram or buy complete kit 2 x 4 GB?

Which method is the most secure? I don't want my two incompatible Rams, but I know that all the technical features should I buy: PC3-10600, 204 pin DDR3, SDRAM, 4 GB, 1333 MHz

It is worth to buy a full 8 GB put in place? Or I should have no problem as long as existing my module and the new have the same specifications?

Also, if anyone knows anything on my laptop model (it could be a Best Buy exclusive; other websites don't recognize my model) is it true that it is expandable up to 16 GB of RAM? Both the box and the site of Best Buy claim so, but so far I have not found another dv6 model which can grow more than 8 GB.

    Hello:

According to the product specification, you can install up to 16 GB of memory in your PC.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03068253

You should be buying and installing chip memory 1 x 4 GB, as long as it's the same PC3-10600.

    I would order it:

Honesty pays, because if you don't use AE and PR, the basic configuration that I linked at the earliest will be enough and if most of your work will be stills or Web design, you can get away with only two disks, you have no need for a graphics advanced, will any card sup $100 and more than 6 GB of memory seems like overkill if you're on a tight budget.

  • Re: Satellite U400 v U500, which one to buy

    Hello world.

    I replace my Equium A200 and I have the choice of buying either the 22N U400, U500 - 11G.
Can someone tell me which is the better of the two, because I don't see much difference. Advantages and disadvantages of each would be nice.

    Thank you.

Without comparing the specs for the two models of laptops, I think it's better to buy a new Satellite U500. In my opinion, the design is much better and without shiny surface which must be cleaned every day.

I saw it in the store and I like it a lot. In my opinion SatelliteU500 Toshiba has designed a laptop very nice and small.
To who wanted to should you this little book? I mean, I can't imagine that u500 is not something you need for your daily work.

  • Card memory ThinkPad E540. Which one to buy?

    Hello!

    I am owner of a 00HFR of 20 6 E540 which came with a card memory made by Samsung (4 GB) (4 GB 1R8PC3L - 12800 S-11-13-B4 M471B5173 EB0 YKO 1432 says on the label)

I would like to increase the amount of available memory, but the cheapest way. So I have a couple of options if I'm not mistaken:

Buy a 4GB module pair with the existing, for a total of 8 GB.

Buy a module of 8 GB for a total of 12 GB.

If I'm not mistakent, the option are possible, but the 8 G module will be less good preformance over the same module size in both slots.

    I have a few questions:

Which module should I buy: Corsair, Crucial, Kingston, G. Skill? (Here is the brand my dealer sells)

I would be very happy to get a P/N for options 4 and 8 GB.

Thank you very much in advance for your help and response.

I'd say go with the configuration 4 + 8GB. Any generic 8 GB DDR3L 12800 S should work (avoid even if Corsair; there were a few problems with it and ThinkPads in the past).
