NTUSER.dat became visible

I had recently run Registry Mechanic and I noticed he put a. RRR and. File RMBAK in my home/user folder. He also made visible/hidden no NTUSER.dat. Is this normal? I deleted Registry Mechanic, but the files remain.

Why you bother with a product like Registry Mechanic snake oil? This 'problem' you were hoping it would solve?
"Registry cleaners" are not worth bored with.

I suggest you do a system restore to a point before that you had installed it... If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog

  • Ntuser.dat locked by system after log off

tons of stuff on the internet about this but no real difficulty. We currently use roaming profiles on a 2 k 3 Server for our Citrix configuration. We met the issue of temporary profiles created because the ntuser.dat file is locked by the system in their ordinary account profile. This has actually been a problem for several years to the contract and I am now cleaning.

We have the GPO to set to point to a share to store profile data, refers to the configuration of the roaming profile.

first thing I noticed was tons of SID keys under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Profile list. I deleted all these keys and profiles on the servers of applications under Docs & settings. now on the first login my account has been created on the server, SID created key. after disconnection of application, he removed key SID in the registry, writes data to the profile on hand but profile left on application server because ntuser.dat has been locked. then, the next time you connect, it starts to create profiles of temperature.

Maybe it's a little much info for the real problem at hand, but I wanted to explain the Setup here incase it helps.

does anyone have a solution for this?
UPHClean is not an option because we use roaming profiles. they are always locked.

or does anyone have a script that I could use that force a version of the log off?

any info would be much appreciated. Thank you guys

  • Access ntuser.dat.log in NETWORK services folder refused even in safe MODE

I try to accessntuser.dat.log in the file services NETWORK even in safe MODE but not private.  I am logged in as ADMINISTRATOR.  I guess that's the case as well if I connected any other user?

I looked in the MGR TASK to try and identify what process this block, but I am at a loss.  Anyone know which circles I need to pass through power to life this file?

Guessing that you mean this file:

    c:\Documents and Settings\NetworkService

You cannot open the file because XP is running and the file is in use and the Task Manager will not help you indicate what (s) blocking process your effort to open the file (it is not what is the Task Manager for).

Sometimes, you can copy a file open and then open the copy, but it will not work with ntuser.dat.log and your efforts to access the file will give results like:

If you want to open the file, you can open a session under a different name and access the file of ntuser.dat.log of another user in this way (since the other user will not in use).

For example, if I am logged on as user ElderK I can't access my ntuser.dat.log file but I can access the file owned by another user as Jose in looking here:

    c:\Documents and Settings\Jose

Or, you can start on something like a Hiren Boot CD and access the file from there since your XP will not work.

I see no reason to watch the ntuser.dat.log file is binary data, then maybe you can tell us what you're trying to do and why (or you just practice).

    Hello

The NTUSER. DAT is a registry file. NTUSER each user. DAT file contains the registry settings to their individual account. The Windows registry, is a "central hierarchical database" that contains information about user profiles, hardware and software contained on a computer. Does Windows constantly reference registry throughout its operation of its files. The configuration of the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" of the registry branch is supported by NTUSER the current user. DAT file.

Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • My NTUSER.dat file is 7 860 Ko and I don't have enough space in my C drive, I can remove it?

I have windows XP.  My hard drive is partitioned into C & D drives.  Most of my programs is on drive C and have therefore, swallowed up all the space.  I moved more data on the D drive as possible.  I was wondering what I can remove the ntuser.dat file to free up space?

No, you do not want to delete the file.

See for a description that is easy to understand the file and its purpose - http://www.ehow.com/about_6697490_ntuser-dat-file_.html

I presume that you have run the Disk Cleanup tool... did you also remove all but the last system restore point (see related article)?

  • What is ntuser.dat.LOG1 file under users > by default

    I have a USER. 1Ko DAT file; I also have a ntuser.dat.Log1 of 45KO files. and an another ntuser.dat.Log2 1 file KB.

I think I could have done something to change the configuration of the way in which services are started to make the 45KO file.  Is this necessary?  Can I delete it?

These files are under users > default

These files are normal.    To hide, go to Control Panel > Folder Options > view and select do not show hidden files, folders, .

I mentioned services.msc and msconfig because I thought that the original poster was asking how to set up the way the services are started.  They have nothing to do with the files that you see. Steve Winograd, Microsoft MVP (Windows desktop experience)

  • Ntuser.dat file

I had an old computer that is running windows xp, when I bought a new that there windows 7. the people of tech where I bought it moved my old hard drive of the computer in a backup folder. When I try to open it I get a message that it is an ntuser.dat file and that it does not open I got back two times where I bought and was hoping not to take back a third time. I was told all I have to do is click on it to open. No one knows about it.

The Ntuser.dat file is not a backup file to all, it is a security settings file / your login.  Looks like you need to ask the people who made the backup where exactly they put him.

  • Ntuser.dat.LOG files are important to include in a backup to transfer files to a new computer?

Ntuser.dat.LOG files are important to include in a backup that is used to transfer files to a new computer? When you try to backup or copy files I get the message that these files (there are 4 of them) cannot be saved or copied because they have already opened and used on the computer. A single file is 256 KB and another has 0 KB. Can not see the other two

    Hi MAnnetteFox,

Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.

You do not need to take backup of these files and they are normal files that will be generated.

  • How can I save a form so that the data is visible.  Currently, I don't see what has been typed on the form by clicking on the cell and then it disappears when I move to the next cell.

How can I save a form so that the input data are visible.  When I click on the cell, I can see what has been entered, but when I go to the next cell, the data is hidden again.  I would like to print the file with the visible information that has already been entered.

To clarify what mentioned TSN, forms PDF that are used and saved by the application on a Mac are corrupt in a number of ways. When a form that has been corrupted by the Preview is opened in Acrobat/Reader, one of the symptoms is exactly what you describe. If you have access to Acrobat and the original form, empty, not corrupted, you can export the form data in a data file (e.g., FDF) and import the shape of FDF data in the blank form.

    Hello

I would backup several times using different methods like a couple of backups in the
external and backup of important data on a DVD - safety in numbers. Then re-install Windows
as he came on the system. The upgrade would be unwise and may not work with a system
    who has problems.

Your system as it is now may be fixable without reinstalling by technical support
However, a new installation should also address these issues.

  • DBMS - data not visible for read only account users.

I created below to know the status of my lots which run on server every Sunday.

CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW CAFDB_REFRESH AS
    SELECT
    log_id,
    owner,
    TO_CHAR (log_date, ' ' DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS) TIMESTAMP.
    job_name,
    status,
    ERROR #.
    run_duration,
    INSTANCE_ID,
    additional_info
    Of user_scheduler_job_run_details;

It works fine and I am able to get the information.
now, to make it visible for read only account users - using «grant select» I gave access and created also means public.

but it shows only the names of columns in read only account data.

How to make this visible to read only account?

    Please guide.

Views USER_ will have only the objects owned by the user executing the query... In your case, it will be only schedules made by the user.

You will need EU ALL_ or view s/n (all_scheduler_job_run_details)

  • Data access/visibility

    Hello

I'm trying to implement the role-based visibility of data. For example, a Service Representative should be able to see that the SR assigned, or if he is able to see that the SR is assigned to others, should not be able to change/update them, should have only R/o access to these SR assigned to others.

No idea how this can be implemented in CRM OnDemand?

    Thank you

  • LUN ESXi 5.1/store data not visible in trying to 'add storage '.

I just added two 300 GB hard drives in my RAID, reconstructed and checked that the size has increased in OpenManage, but I am unable to actually increase the size of the data store residing on the RAID from the vSphere client. See photos attached. In photo 1, you can see the new size in OpenManage. In photo 2, you can see the data store I want to enlarge. Refresh or rescan everything has no effect. When I click Add storage, you can see in Picture 3 that there is no warehouses to choose. It's the same thing in November when I added a drive, but it was under warranty and a remote Dell technician in and did some fancy table/file system partitions while SSHed in to solve the problem. What I have to do the same thing or there at - it another way? If the former, how?

I solved this through the command line. I followed the instructions at more a local data store from the command-line in vSphere, ESXi 4.x and 5.x.

If you were stuck in the GUI as I was and you will find the daunting command line, just pay attention to what each step says you and document what you do as you do, so you don't get lost. If you learn what you are doing as you do, it just makes sense.
