Obsolete Microsoft components dll
I downloaded a game and an error pops out. He said ' the cause of the problem by a compatibility issue with this version of windows, this version of obsolete microsoft dll components. This program was created by microsoft corporation. "How can I solve this problem?
Ken,
This is caused by the compatibility of applications with the operating system. What is the game you are trying to play? Also to try to resolve this error, try Windows application installation and run the application in compatibility mode.
To install:
1. right click on the installer
2. Select Properties
3. click on the Compatibility tab
4 check run this program in compatibility mode
5. choose Windows XP SP2
6. click on OK.
7. run the installer and follow the default steps
To run the program, so the same steps as indicated previously however choose the file that starts the game. Right-click on this file and follow these exact steps above. Let me know if this or do not resolve your problem.
Thank you
Shawn

This error seems to be related to Msvbvm50.exe or compatibility of applications with Windows 7.

Hi itzayat,
Please, try to start your computer in Mode safe and try to scan the image:

I had some virus that wiped out my computer and began to delete files .exe for evrything and started to interfere with my network connections that made me unable to get on the internet. I've got rid of the virus, but still not able to get on the internet, so I decided to reinstall Windows XP from the service pack CD that I got with the computer. Now that I did it, it seems that all the components of windows have disappeared from my list of programs in the control panel. I still have everything that was on the hard drive on it, but I can't seem to get things to transfer to the new XP operating. My biggest thing I found is that my soundcard has seemed to disappear and my volume control will not work because it says I have no mixers or equipment installed. Help, please.
You don't have a clean install of Windows. Backup your data and do a clean install according to the instructions below. Once installation is complete, you will then need to install the drivers for all your hardware.

genuine Microsoft software?
Hi all!
I have a big problem with the validation of Windows XP Professional. I bought IBM x 24 with Windows preinstalled in 2003. Some time later, asked me to pass the online validation process. I did and it turned out that my copy of Windows is not genuine. Since then, I have the black screen. But I don't understand how it can be. COA on the machine seems authentic, and it came with the IBM software pre-installed. The company who sold me computer does not exist anymore. A few thoughts:
As much as I know in Windows activation prosess the 25-character security code is associated with the material. In this case it is more possible to reinstall the same copy of Windows on another computer. The only thing I do not know: when you buy a brand new PC if you needed to activate Windows yourself or it is already activated? If it is already activated on all computers before they left factory then how it is possible that my copy of Windows is not genuine? I wonder what the company (computer, or their employees store) should remove true counterfeid of Windows and install? They cannot use my product key on another computer in any case. My computer was brand new but already out of the box when I bought it.
Microsoft offers the Windows product key update tool. It will help in this case?
Thank you very much for the help.

N/AWe must ALL learn something every day :)Unfortunately, your product key for this installation of Windows XP Professional is one who has never issued by MS - it was created by KeyGen program a computer hacker. You IBM ThinkPad seems to have had a non-genuine, reinstalled XP version probably by a techie misplaced or lazy. The machine is very old, it is likely that the Lenovo (IBM took over the brand) will have remaining recovery disks available for resettlement. For which version and edition of Windows is the laptop under license, according to the COA sticker on the case?If it is XP Professional, you can be lucky and be able to use the tool to update key product to correct the problem - but if not, you will need to find an appropriate disk and do a full reinstall of that after saving your data to external media.
