OC4J as Windows Service

Hello

I use BI Publisher independent to make reports and integrated with Siebel system.

Anyone know if it is possible to make a Windows Service for OC4J, instead of using the Start/Stop. Bat files?

Thank you very much

  • DAC Server as Windows Service in 7.6.1

    Hello world

I hope it's an easy question. I was hoping to start the server DAC on a Windows Server 2003 64-bit OS as a service. When I run startserver.bat and log off, the DAC server died and I don't want to leave a user all the time so I would run DAC Server as a Windows Service.

    I found this blog: http://obiee-tips.blogspot.com/2010/06/dac-server-as-service-in-101341.html

He shows me how to do that using javaservice command, which I am not entirely opposed to, however, is that the right way to do it? It is supported by Oracle?

I couldn't find anything in the documentation indicating the correct way forward. Ironcially, it shows how to nohup on Unix/Linux, but it does not show the equivalent for windows. Are they just lazy?

    Thanks for the help.

    -Joe

    Joe,

In most implementations of OBIEE/OLIVIER, I saw customers using javaservice to the OC4J & CAD server as a Windows service. I never heard any objections to Oracle, but used to allow the customer to know that it wasn't a part of the Oracle Documentation.

    DAC Server as Windows Service

    call config.bat
    "JavaService-install 'Oracle BI Server Service DAC'"\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll "-Xms256m-Xmx1024m «-Djava.class.path=%DAC_CLASSPATH%.
«-Duser.dir=%DAC_HOME%' - start com.siebel.etl.net.QServer - description 'Oracle BI DAC Server Service'

(For example, Windows XP Service Pack)?

The easiest way for you to find information about the Windows Service Packs is to surf the site of Toshiba in your country and watch download & support.

You will find the a Service Pack Microsoft of category.

For example, the link for the Toshibe Europe is-> http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/

No network supports either (wifi, Ethernet,...). At least I can use the PC in batch mode!
Unable to retrieve a previous saved file system.

I need to restore my Toshiba restore disk Win Vista?

Do you offer a lighter solution?

It's strange, but what you mean with batch mode?
You can start in safe mode?

I think the best way is to reinstall Windows with the recovery disk. It only takes a few minutes and then you have the new installation of Windows with all the drivers and tools of Toshiba.

  • Pavilion 140 550 - t: unable to connect to the windows service

Not sure if it's the good advice of post, but here goes.

Just got the HP computer yesterday and installed Norton Security, Malwarebytes, and Windows Live Mail (do not like the version of Mail). Now, when I start it, I get "Unable to connect to the Windows Service" pop up and WLM crashes when I try to open it. What the DEVIL?

Had the same problem on the one I just replaced. My laptop became the 'Group Policy' error thing, but I think I fixed it.

Any suggestions? Windows is a joke!

If it is Norton Security, then it's a firewall as well and firewalls blocking things, it's that they are supposed to do. So demand for three, you said that this is probably the cause.

But if you do not want to test it, then try the system restore I've mentioned or reload the image origin, then just put in place the email again and see if it works without the other two installed, first to see if it will work with anything else in the picture.

    Hi cbelle,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

I suggest using the CheckSUR for investigating issues of update.

What is system update readiness tool? System resources, such as file of data, even in the data memory and registry data, can develop inconsistencies during the lifecycle of the operating system. These contradictions may be caused by various hardware failures or can be caused by software problems. In some cases, these inconsistencies can affect the Windows Service store, and they can cause software updates not do not work. The system update tool attempts to resolve these inconsistencies.

The following files are available for download from the Microsoft Download Center:
