ODI with ERPI?

Hi all

I have a situation, where my source system Oracle GL. Now can I use ODI with ERPi to extract the data and metadata of GL (to load into the planning application). Or is it possible to use only the ODI to extract the form GL?

Thank you

ODI knowlesge has modules for EBS so you could keep an eye on them - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e17466/oracle_ebiz_suite.htm#Toc198700598

  • Consolidate data with ERPI HFM?

    Hi all

Greetings to our entire family of Oracle's EMP. Hope everyone is great as always.

I created rules of loading with ERPI to load data in HFM and able to do successfully. We are in EMP 11.1.2.2

Just thought to check with you what if we initiate consolidation after loading with ERPI?

    Kind regards

    VT

    Hello

So who exactly is your question?

Do you mean when you start the Consolidation of the ERPI?

Patch who are you? You are not sure if the target application options have been added to the latest patch? I guess that it has been added in 11.1.2.3 (if FDMEE - renamed ERPI)

Do think in 11.1.2.2 ERPI has not had 100% parity with classic FDM features were available only in classic FDM and not HFM

If you take a look at the guide to reference th KM, ODI provides KMs for E-Business Suite. These probide the ability to work with the interface tabloes and concurrent programs which are the external API to the EBS.

  • Installation of ODI with SQL Server 2005

    Hello
I try to install ODI with MS Sql Server 2005.
I created a database in Sql Server and created a user with rights to connect to the database db_owner.

While trying to install master repository, I selected Sql Server with the following details
    Driver: com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
    URL: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver: / / < myhostname >: 1433; SelectMethod = cursor

The repository not created in error:
    * com.sunopsis.core.q: java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft] [SQLServer 2000 for JDBC driver] [SQL Server] the new tabular data stream (TDS) procedure remote call (RPC) protocol stream is incorrect. Parameter 1 (""): data type 0 x 38 is unknown *.

Now, if I change the URL to jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver: / / < myhostname >: 1433, the repository is created successfully. But when you log in Repository Manager to the topology using the same basic shape, again invites me the same error.

Has anyone faced the same problem?

    Hello

You are using SQL server 2005 but try to connect by using SQL server connection details 2000 you should use

    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver

    JDBC:SQLServer://servername:1433; databaseName = DBNAME; SelectMethod = cursor

You must also make sure that you use the correct driver SQL server 2005, if you use a version of Java before 1.5 to ODI so you will need the JDBC SQL Server 2005 1.2 driver.

  • Integration of SAP with ERPI overview

    Hello

I've done the integration of hyperion with EBS. Here are the basic steps I've done.

    1. install ERPI.

2 - has given the Apps schema and initialized.

3 - Select the general ledgers.

    4. define mappings according to EBS.

    5 create the rule.

6 import data from BSE-> hyperion.

    My questions are,

1 - How to achieve this in SAP?

2 - steps are almost the same? or different?

    3. how the participation of functional person is necessary?

    4. how knowledge of SAP is necessary?

    5. how many types of cards is there for the integration of the EPRI-SAP?

6 it is recommended by oracle?

7 - What other ways I have move given sap in hyperion? can I use informatica?

    Concerning

    What is ERPI or FDMEE?

    (1) integration SAP is documented in the FDMEE Administrator's guide and the Guide of the adapter you can download from the site of bristlecone pines

    (2) integration SAP is completely different. It has different configuration of the side steps ODI. There are also some spots on the side AS creating a user for ODI (JCo connection)

    (3) the FDMEE-SAP adapter configuration is usually performed by a technician because it requires some knowledge of ODI. A functional person would act as soon as the adapter is configured so that it can configure FDMEE with respect to any other source

    (4) generally the core SAP team will configure SAP as required for integration and you don't need really SAP kwnoledge

    5) there are 6 predefined maps (documented in the Administrator's guide). That's FDMEE, to ERPI you will need to go to the latest patch for the 6 I guess

    (6) oracle cannot recommend an adapter because it depends on what you are going to integrate. If you want NEW GL balances, then use the NEWGL adapter.

    (7) Informatica does not hyperion support > = 11.1.2.3 I guess that if you would be able to use it, but you'll have to customize adapter for Hyperion, if you have the version 11.1.2.3 +. This can be done using APIs (for example: HFM API)

If you are in the previous version you can use but I recommend not to use because it is not supported.

Another option would be to use autonomous ODI that uses the same approach as adapter FDMEE-SAP from the technical point of view. In deed the SAP-FDMEE adapter uses the KMs ODI - SAP

    Hi Experts

I'm doing the first time Configuration ERPI

We are implementing Hyperion 11.1.2.2 FDM with HFM (adapter target = FM11X-G6-A) and ERPi (adapter Source = ERPI-END-E) running on 11.1.1.6 ODI. Back-end databases are all Oracle DBs. We have been able to properly configure ERPi and ODI and managed successfully as a rule of loading data with all green checks in operator ODI. We have successfully tested the complete workflow of FDM with HFM load using the traditional method of flat file.

We also have a location of FDM and import Format (file Type = adapter;) Adapter = ERPI-END-E) for use with the adapter Source ERPI. When the kickoff to import via Web FDM we get the error: ORA-00942: table or view does not ORA-02063: preceding the line of FDMHYPERIONDEV.

I would also check that application FDM database schema name is specified in uppercase in the properties of the Application:

    (a) to the FDM, login form choose and login
    (b) select the FDM application from the list, and then click 'change '.
    (c) click the database tab, and view the schema/user domain name. Make sure that the name is specified in uppercase
    (d) save and re - test the process.

  • Procedure of ODI with slow performance (SOURCE and TARGET are different Oracle databases)

    Hi experts,

I have an ODI procedure but its market with slow performance (SOURCE and TARGET are different Oracle databases), you can see below.

    My question is:

It is possible write Oracle BULK COLLECT at the 'command on the target' (below)? or

There is a KM of ODI that perform this task below in a quick way? If so, what KM can you guys suggest me?

I found 'Oracle Append (DBLINK) control' but I try to avoid creating the dblink database.

    ===============================================================================

    * COMMAND ON the SOURCE (* technology: ORACLE * logic diagram: ORACLE_DB_SOURCE):

    SELECT NUM_AGENCIA, NUM_CPF_CNPJ, NOM_PESSOA

    < % = OdiRef.getSchemaName ("D") % >. < % = odiRef.getOption ("P_TABELA") % >

    ===============================================================================

*ON the COMMAND TARGET (* technology: ORACLE * logic diagram: ORACLE_DB_TARGET):

    BEGIN

    INSERT INTO DISTSOB_OWNER. DISTSOB_PESSOA (NOM_PESSOA, NUM_CPF_CNPJ, FLG_ATIVO)

    VALUES ('#NOM_PESSOA', '#NUM_CPF_CNPJ', THE FROM ');

    EXCEPTION WHEN DUP_VAL_ON_INDEX THEN

    NULL;

    END;

    ===============================================================================

    Thank you guys!

Please use SQL for SQL command Append KM... You can delete the unnecessary steps in the KM.E.g. fi you won't create I$ table, control flow etc, then you can remove related steps.

    Please try with that.

  • Integration of metadata ODI with EPMA Shared library

    Hi all

We are in the phase of implementation of the Hyperion Planning, and we need to update metadata using a tool of ETL in EPMA.

Is what ODI integrates with Oracle and EPMA library shared or not.
If this isn't the case, then we have another tool to be integrated the same.

    Good answer.

    Thank you
    KK

I think John Goodwin wrote a series of blog posts to show exactly this integration.

    Here's the first:

  • ODI, with a source file on another server

    Hello

    My reequirments are as follows:
I try to use a source file that is placed on a linux server and load it into an oracle table.
I don't know wha all adjustments must be supported to configure the source file on the linux server to be used as a source

I've created an interface with a file on my local machine to load into an Oracle table and it works very well with my new req. using the source file that is placed on a linux server, I do not know what shd configurations do where specify the name of the server, path of the source file

    Thank you

But there, we make the nto see any folder created agent, whatever that means
SHD, we have a record of the agent is created?

Yes... you must be a process of the agent running on the remote server to read the remote source file
    >

Also, if I understand correctly if agnet is not installed how can I install it now

You can run the installer of ODI once more and choose to install only the ODI Agent.
Otherwise if you have and ODI agent also installed then copy the bin folder in the linux machine. in this case, you must manually change the scripts.

    Safe option is 1.

  • connection of the ODI with planning

    Hi all

IAM using the ODI 10 g with 11.1.2.1 in 64-bit planning platform, the two servers are intalled in the same machine. Im trying to load the metadata for an application of planning by the ODI, but trying to overthrow in Developer, his mistake to launch:

    my workspace url:
    http://Hyperion:19000/workspace/index.jsp

I checked my port of planning in the Configurator of the EMP, and 8300 then is my HyperionRMIregistrystdout file has port 11333.

What is the port number that I need to use when creating a data Planning Server? Now use an agent to complete the reverse? And is it necessary to install the JDK to run the agent?

    Please

You must use the RMI 11333 port number.
