• How to use the report generation tool to get a list of bookmarks in a Word template

  I'm working on a project where I need to use the report generation tool to fill a fairly long Word template. MS Office report Express VI can have entries for a maximum of 17 bookmarks that is not close enough to what I need to do.

  I wonder if there is a way to use the lower level screws report generation to read the word template and return a list of the names of bookmark in the form of a table 1 d of string. The dialog box that allows you to implement the Express VI has this ability, but I'm not finding a way to scan the document programmatically.

  I'm sure I can't be the first person to encounter this problem and I hope someone out there has found a good solution.

  Found the answer to this one that I was looking for the forums. Apparently, you can do this directly through everything in the VI report tool, but there is a VI in Wordsub.llb do that.

• Off-topic Board

  On all maps in this forum but, there is a column titled NEW, between the columns of VIEWS and RESPONSES . If you click on the number in this column, you will pass to the 1st post in this thread unread. A useful shortcut if you are montitoring a several page thread.

  However, this column is missing in the off-topic Board. Must click on the title of sugject, or page number in the case of several pages and then scroll down to find where you have "last ceased". Also on other forums, when you click on the numbers (for new posts), 1 unread will be shaded (like stickies) makes it very easy just read a respondent to the new entiries. Not so much to the OT on board.

  Without this feature in the Off-Topic Board, you not only have to scroll down, but I also have to check the dates of each message determine where new begins all have white background.

  Is there a way to incorporate this shortcut (column) that sits on every other Council in the edge off-topic as well? It would be useful to you. I use this method exclusively, and I'm sure that others also do. But I have to "switch gears" the Council of the OT .

  Someone else it is bulky, and/or would like it changed?

• Normal Word template

  Windows XP Home Edition - it's the Normal of Word template requires saving the new file whenever I use the Word application, no matter how many times I save the file in Word with which I work.  Why is this happening, and how to fix this?

  I need to create a WebHelp project file and a file of printed document. Firstly, I would like to generate the word and then to create the pdf file in Word. Is it possible to generate the help file in a specified Word template and have the styles in RoboHelp convert Word styles?

• Can I create a XSL function and use it in the Word template

  I have a complex logic (complicated if I tell 400 to 500 times) to determine if I should have an expression null. If the value is null or equal to 0 show n/d is the value.
  If I have to repeat over and over again, and it turns out to be necessary an update, it would be a nightmare. But I don't have time to waste on a wild-goose chase either. If I have to do some thing of a few than thousands of times, I better start basically.

  If you really want to have a function, you have the choice of using submodels (RTF or XSL)

• Standalone application, including dll, ocx and Word template folder

  I'm trying to create a stand-alone Application with labview 2011. My problem is how can I include ocx and dll files in my executable to run by other computers (the other computer doesn't have the ocx to use in the application and the dll). My program use Word located in a folder template. How can I integrate this file model in my executable file.

  Finally, I would add my ocx and dll in my project (add the file). When I configure the executable file in the Source file, I have always understood the ocx and dll.

  For the proprieties of the installer, in settings of Source code file, I select my ocx and dll and in file and folder attributes I check "register COM.

  I don't know if that the right way to do it but it works.

• Empty field in Word template designer

  We have a saved query on the BI Publisher server with a RTF model. We have recently improved our PC to Office 2007 and uninstalled and reinstalled BI Publisher Desktop. We can connect and open the model from the end server. We can also manually edit existing fields on the template, and validate the model normally. However, when I try to use the fireplace... Function of fields I get not all columns. The only thing in the Insert field dialog box is ROWSET. I used to be able to view the list of fields available in the report on the BI Publisher server. What Miss me? It seems that the BI Publisher Office does not receive the XML data from the server, but I don't know what else to check.

  Mark,

  Make sure that the query on the server returns the rows with default values for parameters. BI Publisher Office runs this query, and often there is no data without setting parameters.

• Sometimes I disable my internet router intentionally & Firefox implements a warning window to this being off topic. How can I disable this alert window?

  When I go out or go to bed at night, I disable my wireless internet router. Sometimes I turn off when I just do something that doesn't require me to be online. Whenever I do this, Firefox continues implementing a warning window every two minutes telling me that I have no connection (that I know). How can I disable this window alert so it isn't keep appear in the middle of a game or a document that I do?

  Its an addon, not firefox.

  Start Firefox in Safe Mode to fix the problem and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  I have moved to a new job and didn't not copy file format options "FmtPlus.opt" when I left the previous job.
  
  On my old TOAD, if I did CTRL + SHIFT + F, the following SQL would look like this:

  I have changed many settings in the options for formatting into a TOAD, but may not work, how to get the SQL to align as directed by my old version.

  Sorry, can't seem to do.

  My guess is that your previous Toad was an older version. No doubt someone in the meantime put in a request-for-enhancement indicating, this aligned keyword formatting right must use the keyword SELECT for alignment and not SEPARATE. Probably someone who doesn't like not formatting you like ;-)

  My Toad version 11.6.0.43 has two different options aligned right for the DML statements - "Key words fixed RIGHT" and "key words fixed RIGHT except high-end." I would have guessed the difference could be the difference you are looking for, but I see no difference no matter which of these two options, I chose.

  If your 10.6 version has the same options two and both give the same result - maybe you can produce a bug with the quest ;-)
  Or file a request-for-improvement it should be an option (but this would require that if they do a day, then you need to upgrade.)
