  • Why my PC does not install updates? Although located to automatically receive my last update was February 2015 and all others have failed.

    Original title: updates

Why my PC does not install updates? Although located to automatically receive my last update was February 2015 and all others have failed.  Although I tried to reset nothing help.

Have also tried to download Windows 10 but computer spends all day looking for updates, but nothing happens.

As its been almost a year that it is updated, you may be better off to backup your data and backup of your entire system, so you can get back to this point at least if something goes wrong. Then:

Update your anti-virus software and run a full scan. Then download, install, update and run a full scan with Malwarebytesfree. Keep it free, no need to start a trial etc. Malware can be a cause of failure of the updates, the scan won't take long to run and should report something nasty, if its there.

Then you can try the following:

    1 convenience store update Windows - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Update-troubleshooter

    2 system update readiness tool - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/what-is-the-system-update-readiness-tool

    3 components of reset update - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/971058

    4. check that "Windows update service" and "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" are listed and running according to the details in this article - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2730071 "

If the above does not help, consider trying a 'repair installation system' - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html if you have windows installation discs, or a 'factory reset' (updated) If your PC came with no windows disk and was preinstalled. NOTE - in case backup your data and your system first in the form of data may be lost if something goes wrong, and data will be lost in the case of a factory reset.

If you do not want to reinstall again, post back with more details, that is at least what is the error code when the updates fail? (find an update failed in "view history update", right click and click details.) Check a bit to see if the same error code. ). Then someone else can we hope to help more.

  • Does not install updates to Windows (office)

installing not my updates to the window. It's a Word from microsoft, excel, powerpoint, and ect... I tried everything and nothing works.

    Hello Ccrandall22,

    Thank you for your message.

We will try to install the updates manually:

Go to the website from Microsoft downloads.  Enter the duration of the update (KBxxxxxx) in the search box and press ENTER. Click the link for the specific update, and then click the download button. You will get the option to run or save the download, Save to your PC.  Once the download has completed, you will get a run option, open the folder or close. Make sure that all other applications are closed and select the run option.  (If you close this window or need to try again to install, just go to the location of the file has been saved, and double-click the file.) This will start the process of installing again.)

If the installation manual does not succeed the first time, try to disable UAC, then try the installation again. Click HERE to find out how to disable UAC.

  • Microsoft Office 2003 does not open

I currently have Microsoft Office 2003 on my laptop, it runs without any problems. The last week of 2007 Microsoft Office is automatically installed on my computer. After it installed I couldn't open all WORD documents. I tried to restore my computer to last week, but he wouldn't let me. As I did the restore I am not able to open and use all Microsoft Office files, new or present. My only solution is to reinstall Microsoft Office 2003? I also want to remove the program from 2007 from my computer, but it won't let me. Any ideas?

  • Office 2003 does not work on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - Bit

I have two new computers that came pre-installed with W7HP 64 bit and both are pre-installed with the product obviously not commercial office 2007 which we do not want to use.  I own copies of Office 2003 and use these products on new computers.  I tried loading Office 2003 on a PC and had a lot of errors especially trying to run Outlook 2003.  I am now using Thunderbird as it works and really miss Word/Excel 2003 - (Office 2007 ribbons wah! what were you guys thinking!)

I have also 16 bit score test programs written and compiled years using Quickbasic 4.5 specific use in my practice.  Any ideas on how I can get those pennies W7?

I understand that there is a professional version of Windows 7 that integrates WOW64.  This will allow me to run Office 2003 (Outlook esp) without errors?

    Can I run programs QB4.5 with W7Pro?

If Yes, please indicate how should I proceed?

  • Windows XP Pro does not install updates. They fail repeatedly.

UPDATES WINDOWS DOWNLOAD OK, BUT THEN WHEN I TRY TO INSTALL ILS HANG. MOST UPDATES THAT ARE HANG WITH A NET. I TRIED THE FIX FOR UPDATE TOOL AND HE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG.

    Hello

    1. What is the description which are impossible to install updates?

    2. What is the message exact error do you get when installing windows update?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to reset components to update Windows from the following link and then try to install the updates.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

    Method 2:

Also try to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check if the same issue occurs.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 3: If the problem persists then try to install updates manually from the Microsoft Download Center.

    a. go to the Microsoft Download site, type the number of "KB" of the update in the download search box and then click OK.

    b. in the list of search results, click on the (KB) Knowledge Base article link to go to the download page. If there is more than one list, look for a link that goes to the Microsoft Download Center.

    c. If there are several versions on the download page, find the appropriate for your computer. Click on the download button and save the update to your desktop.

    d. When you are prompted, click open to install the update.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Microsoft Office 2010 does not install because of the BONE

When I tried to install Office 2010 trial on my computer, it said that it did not meet the requirements of the operating system. I am running Windows Vista (Service Pack 2).

However, looking at the system requirements, I see that only Windows Vista SP1 is supported. Is there a way around this problem?

It is, I'm getting a mac soon anyway. At least, I'll know the software that generates the company actually work and not forcing me to spend hours trying to figure how to do something as simple as installing it.

  • Acrobat 7.0.7 does not install/update Acrobat 9 Pro Extended

    RE: http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/911307

The original question was never answered. I have the same problem, being owner of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended. The presented solution only addresses Acrobat X and the consequences of learning.

I can't use Adobe Presenter due to the problem of incompatibility of Internet Explorer 9.

    JP

    Hello

I would like to mention that the work Adobe Presenter 7.0.7 fine with IE9.

Acrobat 9 may behave differently the bit. Please try following steps: -.

    • Uninstall the presenter 7.0.6.
    • Download the installer from the Adobe website 7.0.7 presenter and install in trial mode
    • Go to (\Program Files\Adobe\Presenter 7) and go inside the AMT folder rename files AdobeConfig.xml and application.sif
    • Revive the presenter

Presenter installer will sniff the system for a valid license of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and will be activated automatically

  • Microsoft Office Publisher KB980470 update does not install!

    KB980470 update does not install!

Tried several times for 2 or 3 days...

o here are the steps I took... which I think should work:

    (1) go to the Microsoft Download Center:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx
    (2) look for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB974234)
    3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run. I think you have to accept an agreement, then click on continue or OK
    4) repeat for all downloads that you can not install
    (5) run Microsoft Update new and click search the updates and if updates have been installed successfully, they should no longer appear in the updates that must be installed.

I don't know if it is not relevant or if it helped me succeed to install updates manually, but before I manually installed my updates I followed the instructions David_O posted under this threadhttp://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/f3390e74-9961-4aae-8a05-554c1a9cf1a2?prof=required&lc=1033 . I suggest that first of all try to download manually by following my directions. If it does not, then it's a possibility instructions of David resolved an issue that allowed me to download them manually disable Microsoft downloads site.

I can't believe all the research and the suggestions of the technicians did not work... sometimes your own research is the best!

I hope this helps! Good luck!

  • Satellite P50-B-103 - Cyberlink Powerdvd does not install the update from Toshiba

So I have an update for my toshiba Satellite P50B-103 for "cyberlink powerdvd" and it does not install, just to unpack and does nothing.

I left the laptop to operate for about an hour to see if anything installed but it does not, what to do?

Are you talking about the video player updated v 6.1.2.1 - A available on the Toshiba UE driver page?

It is an update and requires the Player preinstalled (full version).

After downloading, you will need to unzip the package (vidpl-20140813100353)
Then, in the vidpl-20140813100353 package, you will find the TC30704300A.exe file.
It is also a zipped folder. Right click on TC30704300A.exe and extract the files.
After that, you will get the TC30704300A containing various additional files where you can start the update process.

  • Microsoft Update for hp LaserJet 3015 PCL 5 driver does not install in Windows 7

    I use Windows 7 update.
Microsoft Update for hp LaserJet 3015 PCL 5 driver does not install. He says 1 optional update is available almost every day, then when I try to install, it does not install and it says that the update is not necessary. Looking for HP for the pilot because it is better to get these live drivers from the manufacturer. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services

No, these aren't the droids, uh, I mean the drivers he was looking for.

In fact, it's better to get the new drivers from the HP website, you will notice the link you provided that the options only are available for this printer under Windows 7 drivers universal. I regularly have problems with universal drivers and strongly recommend to avoid as much as possible.

I agree with the question of the original poster, which, after more than two years, remains unanswered by Microsoft. It seems that MS has a driver PCL 5 (not universal) updated specific 3015, but it fails to install the Windows Update control panel. I finally gave up on it, right click on the update and selected the option to hide it from view.

Why bother with a solution when I use the button "Sweep-It-under-the-carpet" practice of Microsoft?
