Office jet pro 8610: wireless network connection

We have an office pro 8610 jet that is connected to the router wireless via a connection cable, wireless to the printer should be turned off. 2 laptops in the House continually revisit the wireless printer output and plug. Why the laptop does not see the connect if the output of the printer wireless is disabled? Even if I check the box for this connection is not to be automatically connected to it will always connect when you turn on the laptop?

Hello @richardbo,

Welcome to the Forums of HP and thanks for posting!

I understand that you have a problem with your devices wirelessly to the network that connects the printer e-all-in-one HP Officejet Pro 8610 automatically. I'd love to help you with this.

You are right on the assumption that the ethernet disables the ability of the printer to connect to a wireless network. However, the printer has a feature called live wireless. Basically, the printer will be broadcast a signal and act as a router so that you can connect devices directly to it. I suspect that's what devices are connected, then here are the steps which stops:

  1. On the homescreen of the printer, tap the Wireless live downstairs. ((Deuxième à gauche)
  2. Select settings.
  3. Select Direct wirelessand OFF.

Please reply to let me know if that solves the problem!

Have a great day.

  • Office jet Pro 8610: how to connect Officejet Pro8610 via ethernet instead of wireless?

    Hello

We recently bought Officejet Pro8610, but we can't use it yet.

Our it team does not print wireless network.

Thus, we tried to implement the officejet via ethernet with wireless turning-off.

    That's the problem.

We have disabled Ethenet setting wireless and go-> advanced setting.

We got a static IP for network printer and tried to manually enter the details and information, but nothing can be saved.

We checked ehternet port is enabled.

    DHCP does not work either.

    Any suggestion?

    Thank you.

Problem has been solved by replacing ethernet cable.

It is curious that the faulty cable has worked with a laptop computer, but did not work with OfficeJet Pro.

    Therefore, conclusion to date.

When the internet connection is having problems, there is a symptom that manual IP setting doesn't seem to work.

    Hello

The same driver as expected for any operating system like Windows 7 or 8 must be used, however, the installation should be launched via the command line and not as a standard installation.

Follow these steps to install the software of the printer on a server:

    Greetings,

I think the upgrade to a HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m all-in-One for an all-in-One HP Office Jet Pro 8610.

I could create and use on the C309g-m .pdf files.  I have Adobe Reader on my computer.  I'll be able to do the same on the 8610?

    Thank you.

Have Adobe reader installed and its having some capacity doesn't have nothing to do with which printer is installed.

If to create and use .pdf created files do you mean having the ability to print the FichierVous or that you downloaded, then the answer is Yes.

  • HP Office Jet Pro 8610 do not print, but will only fax

We have a HP Office Jet 8610 Pro and it worked fine until we hung like a fax also Thursday.

He used to copy, print, scan perfectly but it takes a new fax machine, so we went and bought the phone cord and hung a fax and telephone line with built in answering the Office Jet and the fax jobs, but now it not print a document in Open Office to the printer because she's trying to make a fax cover page.

I've ran out of ideas can you please help?

There are two pilots "printer" there, to print, choose the "printer Officejet Pro 8610' instead of the 'Officejet Pro 8610 FAX. Probably, you set another value by default when the fax feature is added, which is for the PC - fax. If you use the print function more often than the fax, make non-fax the default printer.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with your PC of Windows 8.1 slow printing to your Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once this is done, please let me know if you still have problems slow printing.

    Hi @bj11,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you are trying to reproduce a document for a few days there with your HP Officejet pro 8610. I'm happy to help you!

According to the user's Guideof this printer, the printer does not store documents already printed in its memory. The only way to recover an already printed document must be made on the computer.

  • With a Satellite Pro 2100 wireless network connection

Even though my work laptop has a switch (power) wireless and DIRECTED on the side (under the floppy drive), it does seem to pick up a wireless connection, or have wireless options on the corresponding section of the control panel.

Is it a hardware problem (that is to say he is ready wireless, but has not installed) or a Windows problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

The WiFi card is optional on the Satellite Pro 2100.
In this case, it is possible that your device has all switches but no card WLan.
I recommend you to check the Device Manager. There you should find the WiFi card network card is installed.

Next would be to put a static IP address on the printer.

To have the information needed to set the static IP address on the printer, press the right arrow on the front panel of the printer > installation > reports > network configuration.

    B. open internet explore and type the IP address of the printer in the address bar, then press on enter.

The printer's built-in web server should pull up.

    C. click on the network tab upward.
On the left side, click IPv4 on your connection type, wired or wireless.

    D. change the IP from automatic to manual.
Enter the same IP address, the default gateway and the subnet mask.
Enter for the primary dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 secondary, then click on apply.

    E. after is the button clicked apply to apply the static IP settings, enable Web Services.

  • Office jet pro 8610: printing from ipad to office jet pro 8610

Just got a new printer, how do I set up printing via my apple ipad

    DebbieCrane

Welcome to the Community Forum of HP.

Congratulations on your new HP printer!

You must perform the following steps:

    • Install your printer on your home network (front panel of the printer) and / or install the full functionality for the printer software (which is the printer on the network).
    • Follow the basic instructions to set up ePrint and print your claim record (web services) - paper should have come with your printer, or you can make the printer print a new document with the information
    • create an HP account connected to be able to talk to the e-mail address of your ePrint printer settings (and make changes to your ePrint settings)
    • set up "an App for that" on your iPad so it can send jobs to the printer

It seems more difficult than it is.  The smile.

    Hi @hay3911,

Glad to see that you are using the HP forums, this is a great question other customers might wonder about too!

From what I see, this update applies to commercial/enterprise printers. I found something that describes in detail the security bulletin. It seems that the HP link has been deleted (I don't know when or why), but here's a link to what I found: [security bulletin] HPSBPI03360 rev.2 - HP LaserJet printers and multifunction, HP OfficeJet printers and multifunction and management network HP JetDirect cards using OpenSSL, remote information disclosure.

  • Office jet Pro 8610: how to eliminate a notice "start problem there... the module is not found.

Recently, I replaced my old printer Officejet Pro 8600 with a new printer Officejet 8610.  Before you install the new printer I completely uninstalled the old printer sotware.  After installing the new software, the 8610 new works perfectly. My problem now is that everytime I turn on my computer, I get a useless message:-«Run DLL...» There was a problem starting c-program files-HP-HP Officejet Pro 8600-bun - HPstatusDL.dll... The specified module could not be found. This message has no effect on the functioning of the 8600 printer and is simply a nuisance. I closed the message when it appears. HOW CAN I GET RID OF HIM?

Open the file Explorer and paste the following text in the address bar, and then press ENTER:
