OfficeJet 6600: Officejet 6600 turns off

Our 6600 OfficeJet was itself switched off service intermittently. When I unplugged the power cord and repluged inside, the printer went through its boot sequence, to the end that he suddenly stopped again.

Through trial & error, I found that I could get the printer staying for more by unplugging the power cord from the power supply and then replace the plug.

Is my power supply module is going bad or is there something happing inside the printer?

I replaced the power supply and I wanted to observe for a few days and so far, the printer has not extinguished. It seems that the original power supply all went wrong

  • OfficeJet HP 6968: officejet hp 6968, turn off the ringer

Is it possible to turn off the ringer on an HP Officejet 6968?

    Thank you

    Hello @Kathieh3,

The steps I have mentioned must be done on the printer screen, not on the computer.

On the printer screen, press 'Fax'-'settings'-'fax advanced settings'. Once you scroll through the menu options, you will find the "ringing" or "ring volume" option. Select, then reduce the volume.

Let me know if that helps!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: WiFi will not turn off

Because of a problem with my modem compatible wireless (the problem being that its ethernet ports became defective), for awhile, I had turn the WiFi feature to provide Internet connectivity to my iMac.  Similarly, for the first time, I enabled WiFi on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 so I could keep a printing capability.

Once my new modem arrived, I restored my complete ethernet network between the modem, my iMac (and other devices) and the Office jet printer 8620 Pro.  Everything works fine now!

However, the printer Officejet Pro 8620 WiFi ability not shut down despite the operation by an ethernet cable and there is no WiFi from my modem.  I know the Officejet Pro 8620 always emits WiFi like my iPad and my iPhone indicate that it is.  As my wife is concerned about these RF transmissions that are on the other side of the wall adjacent to our bed, she asked me to turn off the Officejet Pro 8620 WiFi.  I've restored the "Default network" printer, but this is not the case.

According to the instructions of the printer, 'Wireless does not work with an Ethernet cable connected to the printer' However this is clearly not there.  How can I solve this?

Your WiFi is turned off.  Your wireless Direct is not off.  Disable wireless directly into the printer.   Info is in the User Guide.

  • HP Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one stop wireless print whenever it is turned off

My HP 4620 stop wireless print whenever it is turned off, although it is connected to the network (by the results of the test network wireless, pass & the quality of the signal is excellent).  No troubleshooting - HP Print & Scan Doctor work there is no help, I have to uninstall & reinstall the printer each time to be able to print wireless again.

I use it on/on button to turn the printer off, don't disconnect not.

Please help, or I need to return to the store, this is the third time!

I also had the same issue and after a few game it seemed to have fixed so here's what I did... Hope this helps someone else.

-My printer is connected to my wireless network.

-On my computer that I'm connected to the printer through the IP address 192.168.1.153... (Yours may vary) in a browser

    * You can find the ip address printers on the control panel of the printers by pushing the wireless button and pushing the ok option 1, it should appear with the intensity of the signal and the ip address is at the bottom.

-Once I was on the Printers page in my browser, I went to the tab network at the top.

-Then to Internet Printing Protocol section (on the left in the advanced settings)

-On my own PPI was already on, but the location was empty I put a '1' in the location box and then applied settings.

-C' is the only thing that I changed and now my printer is asleep as always, but when I print something from my iphone, mac or pc it wakes up and prints as it is supposed to!

BTW before I went to the printer via the browser. I changed layout sleep in 15 minutes via the Control Panel on the printer itself, don't know if it helped the issue or not because I still had the problem of sleep after I set the timer to 15 minutes instead of 5 min. But I solved my problem after performing the steps above!

Also note that on the one hand some ppl on here say it's a network problem or a router! This is NOT the case I never even tried these roads and I solved my problem only by changing the setting of the printer! I have not set a static ip address or something like that!  The above steps is things ONLY I touched and my problem is SOLVED!

  • Is it safe turn off an officejet pro 8500 a when not in service.

Is it safe turn off an officejet pro 8500 a when not in service. The electricity in my area off two or three times a day and every time that happens the printer begins once again reset. I'm afraid that whenever it cleans the printer heads is a waste of ink.

    Hi fernan215,

Yes, turn off your printer when not in use. A fluctuation of current or failure can cause more damage to your printer when it is still on. You are also right that the printer is cleaning the heads and align the cartridges every time it is turned on. This is to ensure stability, good maintenance and calibration of your inks for the best output every time.

HP OFficejet Pro L7680 turns off and won't turn back on.

    Hello untech,.

I see it's been a while since you have posted with us on the HP Forums.  Please, let me take a moment to say "Welcome Back".

I see that you have a problem with the printer l ' auto turn off and not turning it back on.

You happen to have the printer power cable connected to a power strip/bar?  If so, please try to connect the printers power cable directly to a wall outlet.  Here is a document that explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

The printer in the document is a LaserJet printer but this document is intended for HP products in general and only use the LaserJet printers for example.

I'll also include a document indicating when the HP printer will not be running or to respond when the power button is pressed.

If by chance the problem is not resolved after you complete the steps described, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

Please do not hesitate to write me again if you have any other questions.

I wish you a great Monday!

    See you soon,.

  • OfficeJet L7780 how can I turn off the ringer?

I want to turn off the ringer (phone ringing sound) on my OfficeJet L7780. I tried to work in the printer menus. I searched everywhere, including the manual and have not found an answer. Please help if you can.

The best way to do this is to download the manual and read.  On page 103 is your answer.

Enable or disable the printer WiFi
On the printer Panel blue wireless light is lit when the printer WiFi enabled.
NOTE: Connecting an Ethernet cable to the printer automatically turns off the wireless feature and the
    Wireless lighting.
    1. in the printer control panel, press or drag to the bottom of the tab at the top of the screen to open the
Dashboard, press (wireless) and then press (settings).
    2. touch wireless settings.
    3. tap on activate or disable wireless.
