OfficeJet 7610: upgrade to Win10, no longer have the option of scanning in the HP software.

I upgraded to Win10 and had to reinstall my HP software.  Now the HP software shows that the printer.  I don't have the option to scan or fax from the HP software.   Ran the HPDoctor and said msg that some updates have been made to correct the scanner.  Ran the scan test and got a msg that the scanner was not available, but I was able to scan from the software Windows FAX/scan very well.  Help!  I prefer to use the HP software for scanning.

Have your downloaded and installed the full features software?

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you should be able to print and scan.
