OfficeJet 8100 drivers

Sales of HP told me that the 8100 printer would be fine with XP Pro x 64, but when I try to install from the CD I get a message saying that I need a different operating system.  I have not been able to locate the drivers updated on the HP site and would appreciate any help that can be provided.

Hello

If you said that you were supplied with the printer support 64-bit envoirnment for Windows Vista or newer versions of the OS, false information, for only 32-bit XP is supported.

You can find the topic system requirements below:

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02879587

I suggest contacting the Sales Department of HP and put the printer due to the misleading information provided since it is not compatible with your operating system.

There is nothing of blocking the tray that I see. I have reset the printer, checked for jams, etc., but I still receive the message.

You can order the part on the website or contact HP directly. I'll leave the details of HP below for you. • HP officejet 8100 do not print color

    Hello

Have a new Officejet 8100, which printed color for 3 weeks - only 51 leaves it. All cartridges are 80% full.  After printing of not a few days the color on the printed page was various shades of gray.

A print test page shows all cartridges different gray printing, except one that prints blues aqua dull.

Installed the printer on a win xp operating sysem to eliminate software problems on my win 7 64-bit system, but still exactly the same problem, so must be something in the printer, I guess.

"Unable to connect to the server.

    Hello RealGomer,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

If I understand your message your Officejet 8100 is more connected to the Web Services and you have tried to assign a manual IP address of the printer.

In the link you provided I have not seen any information about which server DNS has been used, because it is usually the cause / root of the problem, try to enter the DNS name of 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4. To enter, you must be in the Web integrated to the network printer server.

If this DNS information do not resolve, I'll get another for the DNS installation program.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that you want to know if it has all the drivers Windows 2000 available.

There are 3 generic drivers, that you can try.
The Deskjet 990c, Deskjet 9800 and the Deskjet 970Cse.

I don't know if they will work but for Windows 2000.

    1. click on the start menu.
    2. click on Control Panel.

    3. open the Printers folder.

    4. Select Add a printer.

Follow the steps, select the HP name and the printer in the list.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to change the display on Tecra 8100 drivers?

I downloaded the driver for Tecra 8100 my girlfriend updates, but I can't figure out how to install them. The laptop is running Win2k sp4.

I tried the 'normal' method of "update driver" and then selecting the new pilots, but Win2k still find the original drivers and not the new drivers.

I also tried to unpack the new drivers in the folder that contains the original drivers and replace the files in duplicate. I zipped the original file so that Win2k couldn't see the original files. I then tried to run the Setup program, but the future restart the card was not detected. It is only when I unzipped the original files once again that the new map was suddenly, and v5 drivers have installed again!

I really want to install drivers v7 - everyone has ideas on what goes wrong? can someone give me a step by step guide how to go V5 to v7?

    See you soon,.
    Dan.

I forgot to mention - I tried to launch uninstaller to S3, but seems not to do anything.

    All advice appreciated!

Also something very funny... My DVD-ROM cannot read DVD/CD "colored." I mean the new discs are bright colorful like red/blue/black etc. on the side of the data. My DVD ROM reads the white discs but not these ones colors. Heard of this before?

    Hello

Tecra 8100 is not supported for Windows XP. I can't explain the problem with the DVD or CD, but you can try to find the last WXP display on the site of the producer driver. The graphics card on your unit is S3 Savage MX.

  • OfficeJet 150: Drivers for HP Officejet 150 (mobile) will not be installed

I tried to install a 150 HP officejet on a Mac air laptop running windows 7 (64-bit). Whenever I try to run the installer for the software as a whole and the driver OR the base drivers it tells me that the computer has USB drivers or USB ports, so it can not install. The computer has of course these things. This happens even if I'm putting in place a bluetooth connection via the software and USB connection.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8100: HP Officejet 8100 N811a - network connection is not possible

    Hello community,

I have a pretty standard network with 3 points of access, WPA - PSK authentication, TKIP/AES encryption, running on channels 1-11. I made the MAC filtering is off and DHCP is on.

The printer connects to the network, or via the software of HP Doc or the EWS settings.

It's however possible to connect the city nearby networks so I must be overlooking something.

After that under the HP Doc and he's trying to set up the printer I just get an exemption from the unknown error.

The printer prints fine when connected by cable.

The Network Configuration after the eroor HP Doc said

    Wireless on : Pass
    Wireless Working : Pass

    Connected : Not Run

    Network Name Found : Pass

Printer Settings Consistent : Not Run
    No Filtering : Not Run
    Channel : Not Run
    Security : FAIL

And in the Configuration it lists the SSID but IP Adress states : not applicable

    Ideas?

    Hi @NK10,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you are unable to connect wirelessly with your HP Officejet Pro 8100 printer. I will definitely do my best to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and mark "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

I see that you mentioned that you have "3 APs, authentication WPA - PSK, AES/TKIP encryption, running on channels 1-11 I made sure MAC filtering is off and DHCP is on. »

First, I'll assume means AP access point.

    • WPA2-PSK (TKIP) WPA2-PSK (AES) and WPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES) are all different encryption options. Which one do you use?
    • Do not use more than one type of encryption at the same time, what access points help.
    • The router is connected to one channel at a time, not 1 to 11. What channel are you on?
    • DHCP should only be enabled on the router and disabled on each access point.

Looks like the access points are configured incorrectly. They should have the same type of encryption and be on the same channel as the router. If the printer works well on the wired connection the wireless network configuration is causing a conflict.

Tips for a successful wireless connection:

    • Using a unique network name (SSID).
    • Make sure you have 802.11 g active.
    • The printer cannot connect to the 5.0 GHz network. If you have a double router broadband, the 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz network names are not the same. Rename the 5.0 GHz network.
    • Don't hide your SSID (network name).
    • Change the router channel fixed wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, who less than traffic.
    • You have a switch?
    • Do not use a network of comments (SSID).
    • Disable UPnP on the router.
    • Set the router to 20 Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on the router.
    • Update the firmware on the router.

For troubleshooting purposes, follow these steps:

    1. Disable all access points.
    2. Connect the printer to the router wirelessly.
    3. Test print.

If the printer works fine wireless connected access points, you must reconfigure the access points correctly. HP does not support the networks with access point, additional router or switch, etc. The complexity of the configuration.

For more information, see print wireless Center.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

    Hello

I downloaded the versions Basic, both full of drivers for printer OfficeJet 7000.  Move cleanly - error code 2203.  When talking about this issue with the Support technical they tried several different things, but nothing has worked.  I have a service ticket number - 80356333671

After turning off the phone (more than 90 minutes) - I searched on google and all the hits that were displayed were the same steps I saw technician employment, made you ask - is google, the new standard Tech support?

With the help of technical support, I ran the "Officejet software and driver Removal Utility" for my particular model (available on HP website - driver download page) and then ran the installation of the driver and it worked perfectly.  Why? I do not know.
