Officejet J5780: Erasing memory Officejet

My Officejet J5780 is end of life, and I want to recycle. But I fear that his memory may keep some personal information. The model memory specs are: 8 MB ROM, 32 MB of DDR memory. What is the best way to make sure that the memory is erased completely clean? Y at - it an internal hard drive or memory card that must be eliminated physically?

Hey @Bosco24,

  • Can't erase memory, office pro 8100 jet network info

I have an Officejet Pro 8100 using windows 7 and have used the printer sucessfully for months. Connected to a Netgear router.  I changed my router ID and password to make them safer. Now, the printer does not recover. I used the installation software to connect again the SSID and pass phrase, but it will not accept them. If I turn on the broadcast SSID the new name will apear, but after I send the new password I get the answer that the SSID is not found, even when I picked it up in a list. I run the wireless test and it shows the old SSID and FAIL status.  I put the SSID and expression of past to old values, but to get the message that the passphrase is incorrect.

How can I erase the old news of memory in the printer? Running the installation software does not change the old values.

Which can occur because of a defective cable. port or damaged software.

If it works via Ethernet, but is unable to configure the connectrion wireless to the printer, you can work around that by setting the connetion wireless through the homepage of the printer.

Once the ethernet cable is connected and configured, the HP software click on the printer (EWS) homepage and open the network tab.

From there, click Wireless Setup Wizard and reconfigure the wireless connection.

Once you are finished, unplug the ethernet cable and ensure wireless light stays on blue, this means that the wireless connection was launched... ther remove the curretn device and reconfigure the printer via the wireless network.

    Hope that helps,

I would try first free tool from HP. He called printing HP and doctor Scan and it is used to diagnose and resolve problems printing. I recommend you to download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor, if she doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages that you receive.

This indicator of storage is notoriously inaccurate nature rather buggy Spotlight. You may or may not have actually 39 GB of video files. If you do that they will be found mostly in the movies folder or music. (Yes, I know a movie in a music folder is not quite sensible, but iTunes movies to put in a movies folder in the iTunes folder and if you purchased iTunes music videos, they will be in the iTunes folder too somewhere with music).

  • HP Officejet 4630: Backup Fax reception

    Hello

The instructions for my HP Officejet 4630 to turn on the backup Fax reception so I can print the faxes missed memory.  I went through all the fax settings and sub-menus, but impossible to find the backup Fax reception.  Can someone tell me where I can turn that on or off?  Also, if I switch on it and there is an error, when received, do not fax, I'll be able to print the fax failed memory (if I can find where to turn on the Backup Fax reception)?

    Thank you!

    Hi Tmactag,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you are trying to find the option to print the faxes missed the memory with your HP Officejet 4630. I am pleased to see that for you!

According to page 50 of the User Guidefor your printer, it states:

Reprint of faxes received from memory

Faxes received, which are not printed, are stored in the memory.

NOTE: After that the memory is full, the printer cannot receive the fax again until you print or erase memory faxes. You can also delete the faxes in memory for purposes of confidentiality or security. According to the sizes of the faxes in memory, you can reprint up to eight more recently printed faxes, if they are still in memory. For example, you will need to re - print your faxes if you have lost the copy of your last draw.

To reprint the faxes in memory from the printer control panel

    1. make sure you have loaded paper in the main tray. For more information, see loading page 28.

    2. starting at the homescreen on the printer screen, press up and down to select Fax, and then
    Press OK.

    3. Select settings, and then click missed reprint faxes.

Faxes are displayed in the reverse order from which they were received with the most recent
received the fax first, and so on.

    4. Select the fax you want to print, and then select print.

    5. If you want to stop the reprint of the fax, click Cancel.

Hope that answers your question and have a nice day!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a: HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a - Print when Fax is not saved

Can I do so a fax is printed when it is not registered?

I know that I can put to print and save every time, but I trust HP digital fax to save paper.

If a fax is not registered, either because of a network error, or if the computer that logs usually in is cut off, can just fax be printed?

@MrMeow, it's nice to meet you.

I think I found something that can help your fax dilemma.

This information has been in the User Guide for the Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one - N911a; PG 69.

    Set up backup fax

According to your needs best and security, you can configure the printer to store all faxes it receives, only faxes it receives while the printer is in an error condition, or none of the faxes it receives.

The following fax backup modes are available:

On >  The default setting. When backup fax is enabled, the printer stores all faxes received in memory. This allows you to reprint up to eight more recently printed faxes if they are always saved in the memory.

NOTE: When the memory of the printer is low, it replaces faxes print, older because it receives new faxes. If the memory is full of unprinted faxes, printer stop to answer incoming fax calls.

NOTE: If you receive a fax that is too large, as a very detailed color photo, it cannot be stored in memory due to limitations of memory.

Error only > Causes the printer to store faxes in memory only if there is an error condition that prevents the printer to print the faxes (for example, if the printer is out of paper). The printer continues to store incoming faxes, as long as the memory is available. (If the memory is full, the printer stops responding to incoming fax calls). When the error condition is resolved, the faxes stored in memory automatically, print and then they are deleted from the memory.

Off >  Faxes are never stored in memory. For example, you might want to disable fax backup for security reasons. If an error condition occurs which prevents the printer to print (for example, tracks paper printer), the printer stops responding to incoming fax calls.

NOTE: If the backup fax is turned on and you turn the printer off, all faxes stored in memory are deleted, including any unprinted faxes that you might receive while the printer was in an error condition. You must contact the senders asking them to return the unprinted faxes. To get a list of faxes that you have received, print the Fax log. The Fax journal is not removed when the printer is off.

To set backup fax from the printer control panel

1 tap (right arrow) and select Setup.

    2. press Fax Setup, and then click Advanced fax setup.

    3. press on the backup Fax reception.

    4. press on , error, or out of service.

Reprint of faxes received from memory

If you set backup fax mode to On, received faxes are stored in memory, whether the printer has an error condition or not.

NOTE: After that the memory is full, the oldest faxes, prints are replaced as new faxes are received. If all stored faxes are not printed, the printer does not receive fax calls until you print or erase memory faxes.

2 tap (right arrow) and select Setup.

    3. touch Tools , or Faxand then select reprint faxes in memory. The faxes are printed in reverse order, where they were received with the most recently received fax printed first, and so on.

    4. If you want to stop reprinting the faxes in memory, press the Cancel button.

Please let me know if these steps solved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

I look forward to hear from you!

  • Can't find applications installed on the mini pro: S

I bought this phone yesterday and the first thing I did was last updated for the software. It went well. Then I installed some applications via PC who worked as they should and went out for a walk. Later, I checked my phone bill, and it was abnormally huge so I guessed that some background applications use internet to do what they must do and put me in this situation. I couldn't stop my Bill raise and said that at one of my friends who helped me in calling his friend and asking him what to do because he has the same phone. He helped me by telling me to turn off "Data Enabled" in settings/WIFI and networks mobile/networks/data access via the mobile network (data set) and my money leak stopped. It was great. When I came home later, I wanted to continue with the installation of games and apps from Android Market via a PC, but I could not. On the web site, I selected an application, click on install and new window pops up telling me that my phone is supported. I pressed install again then it says "this application will be downloaded on your device shortly." Just like earlier that day, then I pressed OK. A took my phone to check the application installed, but I couldn't find it. I've been checking everywhere but no trace of it. I tried other apps and it was the same thing. Then I did a factory reset or however, it's called (the one with the phone being erased memory) and the problem was still there. I just reinstalled my phone software and the problem persists. Someone knows how to fix this? It's a bit disappointing that what happened first day.my conjecture is that the app would not allow the phone, so maybe that's a problem suddenly on my PC?

the "active data" function controls your internet connection through carrier network

you need an internet connection to download the app... it may be the network of the operator or WiFi
first day that your data transfer has been enabled for all the applications that u installed by means of pc have been downloaded

but then you turned off your data traffic

now that u installed apps (((after you disable data traffic))) through your pc would be in the queue of download >...
as soon as you swith on the traffic of data, all applications will be uploaded, but again you will be charged heavily for the transfer of data from the android market on your mobile... so its best to do with wifi or activate certain data plan on your mobile

conclusion: you need an internet connection (wifi or carrrier network) to download applications...

  • Lollipop 5.1.1 silent priority vs and symbols of volume status bar mode

    Hi all

just upgraded to lollipop 5.1.1 (from 5.0.2). Thank you devs of sony.

Took place without a hitch - preserved apps, etc.

However, decided to start again so erased memory.

I noticed that the priority mode is no more (at least it does not appear now when you press hard volume keys - you get just 'normal' volume controls).

"failures" are now described in sounds and notifications as "silent mode".

I also noticed that a few symbols volume in the status bar seem no more. For example, I know with the symbol representing a star my volume in priority mode settings to be quiet or silent. With the hit through circle, I should be on silence and the phone with the small vertical bars meant that I was to vibrate mode.

I can only now the symbol of the vibrate mode to appear.

Finally, what is the status of alarms? There used to be a note in the interruptions on the alarms menu to always be treated as priority events.

    Sorry if this is simple.

    Kind regards

    Gary

    Hello

    How do you mate?

    Thanks for the reply.

    Worked on it.

He hammers the volume keys, but basically you volume to zero - this takes you to vibrate mode.

One more down-press takes you to silence. Here you get your priority controls and the ability to turn off the alarm, as needed.

Star and struck through circle symbols are active in the status bar, depending on whether you set the switch to "allow exceptions.

It is a pity that you can not the shortcut in the menu power button as you used to, but I think it's much clearer now, with regard to the layout, that is, these are the permutations that can have silent mode.

    See you soon,.
