OfficeJet premium 6700: ADF Assembly

I jumped the cover of the automatic document feeder and the entire assembly to clear a jam, and it does not come off back down into place... What is the thing...?

Hi @beckylousiana.

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. It is not really a thing for her. I find it works better if you lower the Assembly first, then the cover.

Nothing is mentioned in the standard doc paper jam.

Cannot find a video for the 6700 either. This ADF printers appears to be very similar. https://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=5xi14x2W-Yu

I hope this helps. If so, Great! Give us some reinforcements by pressing buttons of solution and laurels, that we will help and others see that we have the answers!

    Hello larry76,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you get some problems with your Officejet 6700 Premium. Please make sure that the printer is connected to a live wall, not a surge protector.

I would suggest following this HP document on a 'cartridge problem', "Ink cartridge failed" or not "compatible ink cartridges" error. Even if you do not receive this type of error messages, this document provides useful troubleshooting steps.

Also, try to reset the printer.

Please post your results, I'll be looking forward to hear from you.

  • OfficeJet 6600/6700: How can I stop my HP Officejet 6600/6700 stop printing reports?

I just installed a new HP Officejet 6600/6700, but whenever I have to send a fax it produces a report. If I misdial or there is no answer, it also sends a report. • Stupid question, how does a print back to back on the Officejet 6600/6700?

    HP Officejet 6600/6700 model CV078A; Series: CN2231G0D9

    Vista 32 bit

Could not find in the manuals or in the forum.  With recent HP printers, I was able to print on both sides of the paper (for example, 1 side = Page 1; Side 2 = Page 2).  I can't understand how to do this with this version.  Do not see it in no more printing options.  Simply print us page 1.  Place it in the paper tray; can print page 2?  What seems uncomfortable with such advanced machine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

Thanks BH.  I think I found the solution.  Your advice on Duplex helped.  I sought advice and found that I needed to go to 'Print' > Options > Advanced > Print > and check "Print on the front of the sheet for duplex printing" and "print on the back of the sheet for duplex printing.

I retried the print job, and it seemed to work.

For the people of HP you this can be a problem in Microsoft.  I guess that your parameters to make up for it during installation.  Perhaps the settings I fall on an update of MS Word; Thus, others may work in the same question.

  • OfficeJet 6700: ADF works only when you scan not copy

Our officejet 6700 has an irrational problem - will take the ADF and scanning a document using the pc without problem, but if load you something using the function copy on the machine itself, he acknowledges that he is a responsible original, you hit copy and is not feeding the sheet through and copy from scratch!

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello @edtech,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are not able to use the ADF on your HP Officejet 6700 Premium to make Copies, but you can use it to perform a scan.

I would like you to do a hard reset:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer. Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup because they can cause the printer to lose over time basic functionality).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward. If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is a printer all in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

Are now able to make a copy using the ADF? If you are still unable to make a copy, you will need to contact our technical support at www.hp.com/contacthp/. • How to adjust the margins of the page on the officejet printer 6700

How you set the margins of the page on a premium of 6700 Officejet printer all-in-one. I just bought and set up.

Configuration and installation went well and everything seems to work. I looked in the software development and have not yet

to find something on the definition of the page margins. The question arose when I printed an email as well as the right doesn't have the edge of it

    print.

If I understand this has much to do with the original message and the format (an example here of users with similar issues). It seems html in messages can cause this and things like scaling to fit are unable to help. Are you able to export email and open in word or a similar program for printing?
