OfficeJet Pro 6830 AIO: OfficeJet Pro 6830 whining noise

Pretty much all the time I have had the printer refurbished (I got one with the printhead error), I heard a slight noise whining. I really didn't notice it at first since I wasn't spending much time in my office. In the last months, I went to the office more and I cannot stay to the noise any longer. I found where other people on this forum have contacted HP to receive a diet revised, however, I'm no longer under warranty... even if its handed to nine. Anyone know who to go for a diet revised, I can't find a place to order one without having to call HP and pay fees for out-of-warranty calls? Thanks in advance.

Hey @WC20!

Support thank you forums to reach out on the HP!  I understand your 6830 Pro OfficeJet becomes a bit too loud for your taste and you want to source on a power supply to see if it solves the problem.

Go here to the source on this diet.  Prior to that, see if an update does the trick, if you cannot isolate the noise to food.  Otherwise, try feeding.

Thank you!

I have a 2 TB Western Digital drive with an installation of Windows 8 on it which has failed to start several times with an error indicating that the disc was bad. now when I boot on mac OS, I hear that a relatively high slope spinning/whine that comes from this disc.

    I went to this page

and after listening to the sounds it seems that this is the problem:

Western Digital disks also have a common problem with PIN entry. This occurs after a fall and the reader either is not turn at all with the siren sound: or starts with a strong unable to earn enough noise speed control:. Data recovery in this case is to remove trays from the hard drive in a clean room environment and put them into donor. This complex and precise procedure requires a lot of experience and the use of specialized equipment to maintain the trays in perfect alignment.

  • Mac Pro power whirring noise

I have a mac pro 2.1 with a Radeon mac-flashed 7970, witch makes a fairly strong and annoying hum noise. It sounds like a fan bearing or a blade fan of friction or something.

Initially, I suspected the fan on the graphics card, as the noise got worse when I put the graphics card under load. But stop fans with my finger for a second did not stop the noise.

I checked all the other fans in the system by turning their speed one by one using a control application third fan, but that doesn't seem to cause noise. When the system was not under tension, speed fans only sounded like a plane taking off, no strange whirring / clicking noises.

I also followed him Nadim fan when running the reference of sky charts, and none of the fans seems to speed up the noise at startup.

The noise seems to come from the power supply area. I stick my finger in this fan aswel, but that also did not stop the noise.

My graphics card is put a lot of stress on the power supply? (seems unlikely, there is not much else in the system.) 128 SSD samsung, and 16 GB of memory, without HARD drives or optical drives.)

Or maybe just a case of whining reel? I never heard talking about the cases where it is is bad. Sound clearly audible with the mac pro onder my office with the closed side panel. It's about as strong as the average of a mechanical hard drive.

Someone at - it suggestions on what it might be? Anny information is appreciated!

    UPDATE:

I've did some more research and tests today, and now I don't know if it's the POWER supply. Further examination, the noise seems to come from the graphics card rather than feeding.

However, I got the mac pro crash on me earlier and seemed to associate PSU.

When I tried to run the benchmark in the Valley of launchpad, the mac pro froze for a second about, and then both screens of. Fans and LEDS have remained, and pressing the button did not stop instantly the mac of. After pressing the SPACEBAR and mouse movement a little I tried the button of power again and this time he did close some instantly. After reboot I met the gray screen telling me my computer restarted because of a problem, and I had to almost any key to start.

Later, I tried to run the benchmark of sky without the installed card via screen sharing, but that did not work. I did trie with another card installed, but who also refused to run the reference point. If unfortunately I have no way to ensure the sound comes from the GUP or POWER supply right now.

I think that there is still an old mac pro at work that I might be able to test the card Friday, maybe wil give me some guidance on the issue of whether this is in fact my GPU. And if not, I might be able to take the power supply of the mac pro at work and test it in my mac pro.

But I'm stil torn on the weather to suspect my GPU or PSU. the accident that I got today sounds PSU related to me, but the noise seems to come from the GPU. Anyone have any ideas?

  • Keyboard in Logic Pro making strange noise

Recently, I figured out how to use an audio interface for Logic Pro X so that I can record MIDI and hear me during the recording, but the sound I hear is very strange. When I'm not recording, the regular Steinway Piano preset sounds as it contains some very slow tremolo, making some notes sound an octave higher sometimes. However, when I save, the sound plays back perfectly normal. Anyone know how to fix this?

    Data sheet:

    Roland RD - 800 keyboard

    Interface Audio EX Roland Duo-Capture

Maybe the RD-800 sends on two or more MIDI channels at the same time. To do this, simply save a note and take a look at the Publisher of the event, how many events is recorded.

  • Satellite Pro P300-25W - noise fan too heavy

    Hello

I just got my Satellite Pro P300-25W and I hate the noise of the fan. Is there a way to make it less noisy race less often?
I updated to Windows 7 and installed the drivers from the Toshiba DVD.

In power options I selected everything to be optimized battery / record maximum power in the advanced power settings. But still, the fan runs almost all the time. I use Windows to surf a little, the CPU usage is very low (less than 10%), there is no 3D graphics movies or something goes on that would put fun on the GPU.

    It drives me crazy.
I can do something, or should I just bought a laptop?

    I hope you can help!

    > Is it possible to make it less noisy race less often?

There is an extra entry called Toshiba Power Saving and there you can change the performance of cooling module for battery or power mode.
    Usually, this should help

But note; It depends on the internal temperature! Higher temperature means more rapid cooling modules
It might be also possible that your cooling fans are full of dust and debris and prevents air circulation, remove dust and clean the fan using a jet of compressed air. Who helped in my case

  • Satellite Pro U200 - no noise, no brightness

    Hi how are you?

I hope that you will be able to help me with a problem that is me not wanting to use my U200 to all leave.

I've had the Satellite Pro U200 since a few months now & to be honest, just used it for the last 2 months. The reason is that the sound no longer works & the "upward brightness / brightness drop ' feature has stopped working."

Here is what happened: I had a virus that was like Norton & installed a couple of other virus and Trojan horses. I managed to get rid of this, but has since not worked its brightness.

I went through all the stuff help & diagnostics, and everything seems fine. The sound is supposed to come through the "Soundmax HD Audio" device, but there is no sound. When I check it I get 'this device is functioning. When I try to update the drivers, they are perfectly up-to-date. My volume is sufficiently complete.

Can you suggest a potential cause / fix for this?

To be honest, I tried everything and am at the end of the road, & think just completely reinstall the machine. Is it possible to reset to original settings? (I know PCs often have this ability).

    Thanks for your help!

    Daniel

To be honest ;) I agree with Sylvain.
The restore CD contains the operating system preinstalled with all the drivers, tools and utilities.
Using the recovery CD you with redefine the laptop to factory settings.
Then everything will work as should.

But note; the recovery CD will format the HARD drive. If necessary, back up you data!

  • Satellite Pro U400-247 - noise static when the AC adapter is plugged

    Hello

I got by Satellite Pro U400-247 and you have a problem with the sound.

Everytime I plugg in adapter (external power supply) there is a kind of droning noise static noise when I use the audio out (headphones).

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

    Thank you
    Marcus

    Hello

I guess that's not happed running the laptop on battery only. Right?

I think that this issue is released to a grounding problem.
I read different forums on this kind of question it.
Usually use the 3 cord power cable should help get rid you of this noise.

In your case I would recommend asking for cord 3 power cable (maybe you need another adapter that supports the 3-wire power cord) to a Toshiba authorized maintainer.

  • My HP Officejet 4500 Wireless - terrible noise already cleaned &! Watch

OfficeJet 4500 wireless suddenly started making a terrible noise when the print heads move all the way to the right.  I already tried cleaning recommended for printing of noise and it made no difference.  In addition, the! comes with the green light.  No recent changes, not even the change of ink before it happened.  Printer is 1 year and 4 months old, and he gets a lot of use.  Previously, cleaning take care of a situation of noise a few months ago.

The fix for mine was to clean the Ribbon carrier.

Just behind the cart silver bar cartridges of travel you will see a transparent plastic strip which extends from one side to the other of the printer.

Very gently, after power off and unplug the printer, use a lint cloth soaked cotton to some the face of Ribbon pure isopropyl alcohol, be very careful not to remove both ends of the PIN anchor who support it.

Move the carriage of ink needs but focus mainly on the right side, as this seems to be where he gets the transport indexes brands of.

Worked for me..... no grinding sounds like plastic gears were about to tear.  Hope this works for you.

  • OfficeJet 6700 gear grinding noise and paper jam

When turned on, our 6700 OfficeJet 6 - months, goes through the boot process, makes a gear grinding noise and finally stops with an error message of paper jam.  I went through all the steps to remove a paper jam (there was no paper to clear) except the cleaning rollers.  It of as if the gear in the duplex unit is not quite the tail with his partner in the printer, but not sure.  I checked to make sure that the rollers turn freeling.  The duplexer gear is a little tight, but it does not move.  Any ideas?

It seems that this printer has developed an internal problem.  From the sounds of it, the issue is the release mechanism for the transport of the print head.

There is a document to help out the noisy operation found printer here.  This can have a few extra steps for troubleshooting paper jam you have already done.

I would also try re-allocation of places the duplexer if she appears out of alignment.  However, if the problem persists, then it will be a hardware problem that the next step is replacement of the product.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  • Satellite Pro 6070: no noise, only when playing DVD

Tried the drivers updated to toshiba for its yamaha - they do not work. Installed drivers updated Yamaha, still no joy with dvds.

Has any body got any ideas or encountered this problem?

    Thanks Simon

    Hi Simon,.

First of all, I suggest you check the settings of the application that you use to play your DVD. In particular, check that the "Mute" box is not checked and applications owner of the volume is turned up and active.

Then, make sure the audio properties in your application are on the right audio device.

  • HP OfficeJet 7500 made rattling noise

Rattling noise occurs after a print job. The printer works perfectly until it happened. No damage, spills or other changes. • HP Pavilion 15-n207ea TouchSma: Hardrive whining noise

First of all, I want to say hello and thank you for taking time out of your day to look at my problem.

    My characteristics of computer-

    Running Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

    4 GB OF RAM

    Processor - Intel (R) Pentium (R) CPU N3520 2.16 GHz

Operating system to 64-bit x 64 based processor

Windows touch full Tech support with 10 Points (what is?)

Right on my problem. I bought this laptop a little shy of 12 months now. Not had a single problem with it, went well unrolled, never overheated. No failure etc. About 2 days ago I woke up my laptop computer out of sleep mode (and I would add that I have it sleep approximately 80% of the time I use it) and it seemed to me that the start ID imagine but it makes terrible noise whining about 6 seconds while the display is charge up then goes. After that I connect to windows it makes noise again for another 15 seconds.  I reduced to the hard drive, ive put my ear to the computer and he moved away reduce what it might be like the noise becomes lower or higher according to the meaning I listen in. The noise starts with a click then a plaintive sound. The question is, my hard drive is failing and if so, how to avoid this or create a backlog p in my files before the hard drive of my beloved dies on me. I have this less than 3-year warranty of the company, that I bought. Im trying to weigh my options and really see if its on the way to the outside or not.

I scanned to find errors etc in windows and all seem to be fine but the noise is terribly alarming. What is my next step?

As chkdsk not detect anything, you can continue to use the reader at this point, but be very careful with it and have a backup of the important files stored there.

You can see if the manufacturer of the drive, it of own diagnostic tool and test with it as well. If your HARD drive is a WD, you can download and run a test with Data Lifeguard Diagnostics:

    http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?ID=hTK1c3

Just back up your data first if you go with a trial extended because if the software detects something wrong with the disc it will try to fix it automatically.
