OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: Officejet Pro 8500 has more ADF will not work

like others, I have this problem.  In fact I do not use the ADF very often and this kind of ignored her, but today, that I needed so decided to try to fix it.  I tried most of the fixes here and the first did nothing, but trying to look at this, I decided to put the paper in the ADF, then open the cover and look to see what happened.  My God, he started work.  I let go a bit and then started to lower the lid.  Heck, he stopped.  Essaye tried again, stopped again that I dropped the lid.  Did that a few times and then being qualified professionally I have the fix engineering, a slight slap on the far side of the adf, as on the back of the printer.  Now, my God, it was only half an hour, but the thing works.  Put three leaves there very well.

If my thoughts are that some switch or sensor is loose or slightly stuck somehow, and that's the question.  Looking at what others have done, I epxect that they opened and closed the lid several times, because it a bank in the meantime or in the process, and perhaps it's her.  Probably HP guys could tell us what it is?

Hello @billfern,

I understand that you were familiar problems of automatic document feeder on your HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more e-All-in-One Printer and after trying to solve the problem, you have found that when you lower the scanner the paper process would stop. I'm happy to hear that you were able to solve this specific problem by giving a bit of a slap to the printer. This certainly isn't a standard troubleshooting step, but one that I saw set a number of different problems!

In your case, I agree that there is a sensor or roller conflict occurring which is at the origin of the book of power question. This may be due to a defect of the real hardware or a programming problem. In all areas of document feeder, it is not so simple. There are many variables that can affect the document feeder Assembly. Some problems occur after crossing the media statement incorrect Assembly or an overload of the Assembly. Other problems occur if a part in the tray is physically broken. And some points can be caused by a programming problem. However, in all cases, if the charger is faulty a replacement of the entire unit would be necessary that the tray is not a replaceable part.

It is never a bad idea to update the programming on your machine. Even if your specific Officejet works at the present time, I would recommend sending the last update of the Firmware to it. You can download and run the update of the Firmware by clicking on here.

  • How is my scanner HP Officejet Pro 8500 all-in-one will not work on Windows 8?

I just upgraded to Windows 8. My HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 all-in-One printer works fine, but the scanner won't. I get an error message that says: cannot find the scanner. What can I do to correct this situation? HP has a driver that works with Windows 8?

Did you uninstall this printer before the upgrade to Windows 8?

If not, then I uninstall the software for the 8500 A910 and reinstall with the drivers up to date.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 has more: printer will pick up paper from tray

Hi - my printer has been working without problem for 3-4 years, but recently has been giving the 'out of paper' error even though there is paper in the tray. I have not changed suppliers of paper, the printer is in good condition (clean, dry, etc.). The print requests go to the printer via wifi but it seems that the collection of mechanical paper does not. No indication on the issue and recommended fix appreciated. Thank you

Hello FROGYBEAR and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see from your post that you are experiencing supply problems.  I would like to help with that!

I recommend you to perform a power reset. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would also suggest using this document on When you use the ADF, one "original jam: clear jam and press OK' Message displays on the all-in-one."  I understand the questions you see are a little different, but the steps should help solve that.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet 6500 has more: printer will not use BLACK ink to print in BLACK. Mix of colors rather than use BLACK.

Printer prints BLACK ink BLACK, instead he mixes the colours to make BLACK.  It creates copies in BLACK only, without mixing colors to achieve the BLACK, but when I ask it to print something it automatically uses the ink color.

In properties, advanced, I checked the box to print in BLACK only, but did not help.

In the printing preferences, shortcuts, where it says printing in grayscale, do you feel black ink only as a default?

I don't know if it will work, I do not use this parameter or the Advanced setting, I have been using high-quality grayscale, but I'm interested to know why, also, when I print 99.9% of the time with color, what I need to change the color ink cartridges so frequently.  You say the color of those who are used to make black.  That makes no sense to me either why the printer would do that, except high-quality grayscale means he uses color inks vs only Black Ink is not.

Test printed with two parameters, and that is exactly the same, so I won't set my default preferences for levels of gray-black ink only printing and see what happens.

What how can you tell whether or not the printer is mix colors?  (by the way, if you use unusually fast color ink)

  • MacBook Pro comes with El Capitan will not work with Yosemite?

You just bought a Macbook Pro (15 ', i7, 16 GB, 512 flash ") which comes with El Capitan and apparently I can't install Yosemite.

I have the audio hardware and software which is more stable on yosemite by many accounts... After spending $ 3,500, I think I should have the ability to run the previous operating system (Yosemite)... very unhappy about it... as I use my rigging professionally and it's for me real time waster

I have been informed by mac support to return my mac and get the old stock with a reseller... what a joke!

Is there a real physical limitation or is it the IEF / SIP / MSC?

    Can anyone offer a solution?

    Thank you

    George

Well, the line official company has always been that you can not install older software OS on a Mac than the version it came with.

That said, I can say that I have indeed to install older versions of the operating system on some computers, (the Mac Pro towers). You will find very little written on the question of whether or not you will succeed. I make a backup of everything, the partition of the hard drive and try.

It has been my experience you can usually return at least a version of the OS, but there is no guarantee.

  • Installation of Premiere Pro CS6 via Creative Cloud will not work

I bought the plan for Adobe Premiere Pro CC on Amazon.com. I installed creative cloud, and through the application, I clicked "install" next to Premiere Pro CS6. Once it sets in, there is no button 'open '. He says only: "updated" next to the name, along with a gray check beside him.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall Premiere Pro CS6, and subsequently, I even rebooted my computer. I reinstalled the creative cloud application and tried to install the first Pro CS6 once again, but I can still access the app of Premiere Pro.

Please check the applications on your computer.

    May be it is installed.

In case it is not the case.

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 has more: Officejet pro 8500 has will not be printed sheets

I have an Officejet Pro 8500 has more printer. I try to print the recipes on cards, but everytime I try to do my printer says "incorrect paper size" and then cancels the job. How can I fix it? I have a macbook... I don't know if it's part of the problem?

Most programs running under OS X obey the size of default page defined by the Print Center/Printer Setup Utility preferences.

A notable exception to this rule, however, is that Microsoft Word, which has its own system to decide what paper size to use.

Change the default value of letter to A4

Idea of what should be the default paper size is set in the Normal template.

Go to Format > Document, and then press the button layout... .

Set the size of A4 paper, and then press OK.

Press the button by default... , answer Yes to the dialog box, and then press OK.

    - Source

I imagine that this also applies to listings so instead of A4, you'd look for 4 x 6! Please let me know if that does the trick!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more: Scanner has stopped working

Scanner no longer works. Printer turned on and outside, missed scan printer Dr, which did not work, pulled the power cord, checked the wireless network, turn off router then return. Never had this much trouble getting scanner to work. Ideas.

    @Joe5

If you did not, please remove the existing printer software > restart > install a new copy of the software full functionality.

Assuming the printer is functional, connected, and that print of Diagnostics shows no errors, then consider / try one of the following Scan Options.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 has more: document scanning

Several pages to the computer and save it as a file, but now he won't, until Apple upgrades my Officejet Pro 8500 has more opportunity to scan the whole of a scan of the page at a time.

How to scan a document of several pages under the name of a file?

    Hi @Pinnacleport,

I read your post and to see that since the upgrade to El Capitan, you are no longer able to scan several copies of a file. I will do my best to help you with this problem. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

I checked the site and the drivers are installed by the Mac drivers preinstalled. HP printers - installing a printer driver Mac using Apple Software Update.

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Officejet Pro 8500 has more)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

What application are you using to scan with?

The only way you can save several pages in a single file is in PDF format. JPEG and other formats will save multiple documents as separate pages. In the printing and scanning window, select PDF and check combine in one document below.

I hope this helps. If there is anything else I can help you, let me know. Thank you.
