OfficeJet Pro 8600: central panel display

My screen has disappeared since I can't read it. When I restart, the screen is initially full of color, but quickly melted very light - can not distinguish even the icons and text

Thank you

Hello @LoganNEand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you are having display problems. I would like to help!

I would recommend starting with a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I would recommend also to plug the power on the printer to another.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: not possible to change the scanning of the Panel of the printer resolution settings

With my Officejet pro 8600, there is no possibility to change the scanning resolution settings when you are working in the control panel of the printer (not present button to touch) when I want to scan to the computer, while in the manual it is mentioned that, after pressing the Document Type, it should be possible to reach the resolution to change the resolution of the scan setting. On the other hand, when the scan to a memory card the button change the resolution settings is present.

Sometimes for the scanning of all computers to select (winXP SP3 installed on it). The HP printing software is installed on all computers and manage digitization to the computer is turned on. It is possible to change the resolution settings when using my computer with the HP printing software, but as I said not in the use of the printer.

Thank you to help you solve the problem!

    Hey mk75053,

Scanning to memory card has the parameters of resolution through the front because that is the only way for the device perform this type of analysis.  However, to change the resolution settings for the Scan of the computer, one will have to perform scans through the software installed on the PC.

I have all three types of 8600 models where I am located (base, more high quality) and of all printers simply ask to start the analysis after selecting the scan type.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600

We bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 a year ago and set up two laptops and a desktop computer to print to it. For the past 6 months my laptop was unable to print to it. We have tried re adding to my laptop but it says that the printer is not found. Help, please

Hi hybrid17, can you confirm for me that only laptops has problems of wireless printing to the 8600 Pro JO? If so, you could check to make sure that the IP address of the printer is correct in the printer on the computer software laptop problem. To do this first check the IP address of the printer by pressing the icon on the front panel of the printer wireless and noting the displayed IP address (you can also print a wireless network Test report to get this value). Then go to the IP address of start - all programs - < model printer > HP - HP - update. If the address displayed as the "previous IP address" is different from the one that you noted from the front panel of the printer you need to update it in the software so that they are the same.

Hope this information helps, good luck.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: printer works fine, but the software is not

    Printer works fine.

However, the HP support the program "HP OfficeJet Pro 8600" will not start. I can see it in the HP folder under all programs, but clicking on the program name has no effect. The program name poins to "C:\Program HP HP Officejet Pro 8600\Bin\HP Officejet Pro 8600.exe" - UDCDevicePage Start

In addition, in devices and printers in Control Panel, the printer connected displays. By double clicking on the icon takes me to...

Opening HP All - in - One Printer Remote takes me to the window right... but the printer shows offline, and the various functions (scan, fax, etc.) are not available. (As noted, the printer is currently online, and I can print correctly.

    Connection to the wireless printer.

All these functions work fine if I call them from the physical control on the front of the printer Panel.

I don't know if these are two separate issues, or the two aspects of the same problem.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

  • Connected HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus status reads "problem with printer."

I could just ePrint on an OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus replacement and them have not used for printing yet. I was in the devices page to manage the settings and change an address for one of my devices. The newly added column 8600 State reads 'Online', but also 'problem with printer '. Instructions I was referring to the display panel of the unit for Outlook2003 on the given problem. A check of the display surface showed no information, just a typical home screen. I checked through the display print and found no problems-all functionality is enabled and fully functioning. I checked then the functions of printer in the window 'Printers and devices' of all computers (all running Windows 7 Professional) on the office network. The 8600 are active and full functionality works correctly between the printer and all the computers.

I then close the printer 8600, left for several minutes, and then lit it back and reconnected. The State says 'Problem with printer' remains in the device window HP.

I am at a loss as to what this supposed problem can be and don't know what should be a next step. Does anyone have any advice or information that could help in this situation? It would be appreciated. Thanks in advance to those who could help

HP support responded to my question by e-mail. I was told that the message 'Problem with the printer' is due to a bug in their system. Also said that as long as the status column indicates the printer is "Online" and everything else is fnctioning correctly, don't worry about this.

I consider that a resolution of the post!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 - impression of evil

    Hello

I just install my new printer, the HP Officejet Pro 8600. It is configured and connected to my network. However, when I go to print a document, the 'Send Fax' window is displayed. If I cancel the window my document won't print. Can someone shed some light on what I did wrong, or what I need to do to fix?

    Thank you

    Spartan2422,

Is the default value in the Control Panel, the devices and printers defined on theHP 8600 printer, not the Fax.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 analysis stops at Midway

With the help of a relatively new in Officejet Pro 8600 on my iMac with OSX Mavericks.

Printer is set up wireless, printing works fine. Scanning did too, until yesterday.

When I scan a document through HP application scanning, or Mac "scanner" that appears in the Printers window, the printer is now the noise, the status bar starts and then stops. It does not move. I left it like that for hours, just to see what happens, and when I come back the job has been cancelled.

Wireless connection is obviously good, as I can print and even when scanning printer responds immediately. It just isn't really complete - or even apparently start - the scan.

Any idea of what is the cause? It seems that this could be a faulty machine.

    Thank you!

    Hello vertov,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I'm sorry to hear you're having this problem with your 8600 scanning. A quick way to determine if your printer is having a hardware problem, make a copy.

If the printer can make a copy, it is not a problem with the hardware with the scanner from scanning. If a scan failure is present on the printer, try looking in the steps detailed here: A 'Scanner failure' Message is displayed on the printer control panel.

Also it is better to have the printer connected to a wall outlet directly for power, this will help you understand why: issues when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

I'll come back and get your answer.

  • How to set the date and time in eAiO Officejet Pro 8600?

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus doesn\ ' impression on network t...

Two weeks ago, I set up a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more using two USB & ethernet cable connections... Everything works very well on all devices - iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro, Win7 desktop PC and portable Win7... until the printer goes to sleep.  We does not display every day, so it may be a few days between printing / scanning.

As I kept an eye on to do this, it has happened twice now, it may take a few days before the printer is unresponsive.  When laptops Windows 7 need to print, the printer does not respond until what feed us the cycle.  The INVESTIGATION period has not changed on the printer and the software HP Update says that everything is up-to-date.

From what I can tell, other devices - Win 7 Desktop, iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Pros seem to be the problem.

Win 7 laptop 1 - connection WiFi AP w / cable for printer

Win 7 laptop 2 - cable ethernet to AP w / cable for printer

Win 7 Desktop - USB cable for printer

MacBook Pro - cable ethernet to AP w / cable for printer

iPad/iPhone - WiFi connection AP w / cable for printer

    Printer Firmware Version - CLP1CN1232AR

Set a static IP address in the printer out of the router's DHCP range.  Use a channel wireless fixed like 1.6 or 11 never 'auto '.   Power at the same time.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.  Please turn on printer and connect.  Try now.
