OfficeJet pro 8600 output tray

How do remove you the output tray for legal size paper.

Hi columbia530,

You should be able to extend the output tray on the legal situation. If it seems to be stuck, you may need to push in, then spring one or two times to the release. Be sure and be careful when you pull the tray does not break the flap at the end of the output tray.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Tray Lock worked until the upgrade of Windows 10

Since a year now, I have 1 locked drawer for our book of receipt only, easier than all the other printing set to automatically select the default tray to tray 2 (Tray 1 is locked and all)! But I tried the upgrade of Windows 10, that was an epic fail and my cpomputer was sent to the doctor for the day. When I came back I had to basically start over with a new computer. I have everything back to be better than before, but THIS problem! Receipts in Tray 1 and my payment software its configured for Tray 1 specifically for receipts. All other default things that select and always tray 2. I can't anything out of tray 1. HOWEVER, my boss's computer is on a network with it and when it prints a receipt from his computer he properly dispences Tray 1. Yet.

    Help! PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

    Hi @L2thaJ,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are unable to print correctly on tray 1 on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one printer. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Is the other computer Windows 10 institutions, who works for printing on tray 1?

It looks like Windows 10 and the software you are using does not work with the printer driver, what might happen.

You are able to print to Tray 1, when printing from MS Word or Notepad?

Please ensure that you use the latest printer driver for your printer.

Download and run The printer Installation Wizard. The HP printer installation wizard detects automatically the best print available for your HP printer driver. It is only available for Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I can't wait to hear strings attached good luck!

  • OfficeJet pro 8600 paper tray slides not well

OfficeJet Pro 8600, Vista.   Newly purchased.

It is about the paper tray (and there's only a single tray for the Pro model).

It is not related to change the paper size, or how to close the tray when in legal size I've seen in a post.

This tray is attached directly on the surface of the table. When you open and push to close, he rubs too on this surface and is very difficult to open or close.  It will just slip off as my other hp printers.  The friction is causing this frustration.   I have to actually lift the printer with my other hand to remove the bin to.

Anyone else having this?  How to remedy?

What a shame of a problem.  Looks like a nice printer.

Problem solved.  The table of this printer on a material cover.  I placed the printer elsewhere with hard and soft surface.  This seems to work better.  However, not the best slides inside and out, but a lot better.

conclusion: do not throw a printer on any material!

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Solved.

    Hi columbia530,

Can you take a flashlight and look in the printer to make sure that there is not an obstacle in the printer?  I reinstalled a paper on an 8600 tray here in the office and it has been pretty smooth.  You see anything out of order?

You can also watch the status bar carefully to make sure that there is not a piece.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro ePrint 8600 - cannot select paper tray - HP needs to fix this problem

This is a limitation of the software that HP needs to fix. I bought this machine multifunction largely for two features, ePrint, and two bins to paper. I had released two paper because I often need to print on paper thick and does not want to manually load the cards into the printer whenever I don't want to print on thicker paper. Unfortunately tray 2 is not compatible with card stock so I keep copy regular paper in tray 2 (tray 2 is defined as the default tray) and I keep card stock in Tray 1, which is compatible with cards. The problem and the limitation is when I am traveling and want to use ePrint. Even if my default tray on the printer is 2, which is where the paper is, if I use ePrint to print, HP ePrint by default tray 1, which means that I print on thick paper. This isn't only a problem when you travel. One of the advantages of the ePrint, in theory, is I can print on my desktop at home via ePrint printer when connected to my VPN employers. I've had this machine for two years. It seems that HP would have an update now to solve this problem. So far, nothing. Frustrating!

    Hello @HudsonOH,

Thanks for posting in the forums of HP and welcome.

I understand that you are not able to choose your paper tray of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one using ePrint. I would like to help with this, as much as I can.

Unfortunately, when you simply send an e-mail to the printer, you cannot change the print settings, because it uses the default settings on the ePrint server.

However, if you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the HP ePrint app. This allows you to add the printer by ePrint e-mail address and send print jobs when you are not with the computer (need you an active wifi or data connection, however). The application also allows to select print settings if you can ensure that you don't waste card stock paper you loaded in the machine.

To download the app on iOS, simply open the app store and type 'HP ePrint' in the search bar.

To download the app on Android, you can open the store game (or game of Google) and search for "HP ePrint.

Once you have installed the application, you can add your printer via his email ePrint:

    1. open the ePrint application and select OK on the demo screens.

    2. Once you reach the home screen, it will show your printer name, or not find printers (depending on whether you are at home with your printer, or on the go). Select this check box.

    3. you will see a tab at the top that says all, select it.

    4. press on the + symbol to add a printer.

    5. Enter your ePrint e-mail address and select Add.

To print using the application, return to the home screen and select an item to print one of the options listed. Note: If you are on iOS, you can even add your e-mail information in the application so that you can print emails.

In addition, you can sign up here for updates on the new firmware and software for your printer, in which case no alternative workaround should arise: stay connected with updates from HP

    I hope this helps!

New Premium Officejet Pro 8600 with envelopes in Tray 1 and 8.5 x 11 in tray 2 copies only to Tray 1.  When I try to select the tray 2 in copy options, only Tray 1 appears as a choice.  How to choose tray 2 when it is not listed and do the copy default tray?

I remember coming across this question:

    1. turn off the printer and remove the lower whole and not just the tray 2.

    2. turn on, turn off,

3 replace the tray 2 and the power up.

To enable tray 2 as default copy ferry. Go to the printer->-> select copy LCD display-> select settings-> a selected tray 2 as default.

    Hi Greg,.

At present, the 8600 does not support this feature of Microsoft. Unfortunately, there is no work around. You must manually select tray 2:

1 Ctrl + p to open the print dialog window.

2 Select the printer of desire and click the preference.

    3. go tab paper/quality, then select "Tray 2" on the decline of the Source of the paper in the menu dropdown.

    See you soon,.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 more paper tray will not go

[In the case of a post to repeat it is because I could not tell for sure one was actually published.]

Product name: HP Officejet Pro 8600 more. OS is Windows 7

First of all, I saw many possible solutions in Google search, and many of them related to the HP printers support blogs and none of them have worked for me.

Like so many others, the problem started with my change drawer to manage envilopes. Many worked, but now the drawer don't go all the way - it stops at 9/16 inch short to be completely closed.

I adjusted and readjusted the tray for legal size.

I shook the left and right drawer closing.

I removed all the paper and two sizing medium frame settings.

I checked the track inside and the slider on the status bar and see no obstacles.

I raised and lowered the ramp at the end; It lowers at the beginning of the slide.

By pulling the drawer I found a slight resistance during his visit to the position of 1 inch.

I slipped the paper-stop in and out and it positioned perfectly.

I cycle powered by the printer.

I can't help but think there must be simple somethinbg behind it all. Maybe a bit of lubricant in the mechanism?

    Help, please.

I was right - something simple. Me. It seemed that the ferry was going all the way because of the gap between the drawer and the housing. I thought it was a problem because I have sent to the printer of things would not print. I still don't know why, but it seemed to be a problem with the mechanical - 'print' in applications is dimmed. But now everything seems to be in order. My apologies to those who have spent the time thinking about my 'problem'...

  • Cannot select tray 2 copy with Officejet Pro 8600 Premium

    Win 7, 64 bit

    OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium

I installed the drivers on the disk supplied in the box. (Not sure if there is a new driver or an update yet for this product.)

I bought this printer so that I could load my UPS package labels into a bar of tasks and plain paper in the other.

I loaded the labels into Tray 1 (according to instructions) and paper in tray 2.

I have everything works fine except that I can't understand how to specify tray 2 as the tray to make copies of. In respect of the COPY > SETTINGS > SET SELECT only Tray 1 is displayed.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) why not tray 2 option to copy? How can I fix it? A firmware update maybe?

    (2) printing these UPS labels from tray 2 seems to work very well. Is there a reason why this would be bad?

    Thank you!

Connected by ethernet cable, he downloaded the new version of the firmware (... 1136BR).

That fixed it! Tray 2 is now an option under settings to copy.

The only disappointing is that I asked about a new version of the firmware in my first question... but it took a whole week to get this resolved... and I had little to get to the answer myself!

In any case, now it is fixed and seems to work very well.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 tray 2 does not work

With plateau, two (optionally) installed and set by default the printer THAT ALWAYS tries to use the Tray1 with photo paper 4 x 6. This will always raise an error that there is a paper mismatch.

In the literature, I read before buying said that the trays would detect what to print and use the appropriate bin. I can't even manually select trays, it always goes to Tray 1 in any scenario.

In addition, the detection of HP shows the Officejet Pro 8600 and I don't have it. Also guaranteed test fails and says it expired 4 months before I bought it. I'm not allowed to contact the HP support anything because of this. Last HP product for me.

Tray 1 is set to the automatic tray pulls the default printer. The printer can detect and select the correct tray, but it must be set up correctly first for her to do.

In General, I would be created tray 2 with normal printing paper (8.5 * 11) and non-standard of your choice 1 tray with paper. In the printer setup menu you can set up your bin by default as well as the tray lock (prevents a tray automatically).

Be sure to read the manual on this documentation:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03026243.PDF

In addition, when you print, you must first designate as well in the software the size of paper you want to print on (in this case 4 x 6), as well as through the properties of the printer, make sure you that the correct tray has been selected for use.

Once this place let me know if this helps you resolve your problems.

    Have a great day!
