• Issue of application permissions

  Hi all

  I have a question on the application's permissions. I work to make an app for OS 6.0

  When I create my application and place it on the device and then go to settings > device > application > MyApp, I see a "modify permissions" button where the user can change ' connections / interaction / user data "."

  My question is how to make it unavailable for the user? Depending on what they are doing here it can make my application crash/freak out. When I go into applications like facebook, AIM, brick breaker, google talk all I see "delete" is not "change permissions".

  I'm doing something worng in my build process? I sign my application with a developer key, it's just that I'm not a RIM made app?

  In addition, you can use the ApplicationPermissionsApi to check what you have at the beginning of your application and act accordingly - that could be displayed a message to the user to say your application permissions may not work with the permissions as stated.

• Invoking the Application Permissions page?

  I've got access_shared + read_device_identifying_information permissions in my application

  I do a check at startup

  This essentially shows the user a screen explaining the permission denied the app stops and tells them how to turn it on

  At this point, the only option that has the app is closed

  It would be better that I could add another choice for the user who opens the Permission request, ideally with this MyApp, so they can allow the permission required is as they wish

  I kniow there are a LOT of undocumented invoke / map "things you can do" but cannot work on special demand for it

  When you perform the installation using javaloader, are you specifying the filenames of cod or the JAD file?  Note that if you specify only the COD file names you can see the permissions issues and how the application appears in the form of applications (Options, Advanced Options, Applications).  This installation method is not complete details of application on BlackBerry handheld.

  No errors except these permissions require the approval of the user. You will never see those listed there. Try it as access_files (or whatever it is) and it should appear.

• What kind of fields / widgets are used in the Application Permissions screen?

  For the config page of my application, I would like to have several hidden options until needed and I wish I had that look similar to the screen of permissions for a module - IE the one with the titles of "Connections", "Interactions" and "User data", which can then be extended to supplying indented from the fields below. • BlackBerry Curve 8900 smartphones hangs at startup / boot with window Application permissions

  Hi all

  As the title suggests, I installed the soft Color ID trial last week and he had run no problem, but yesterday it restarts and starts, it displays the desktop and it also displays the window from the Application of the permissions, as shown below, as soon as it starts.

  Morning, I just had the same thing happened to me after installing new updates. 23:00 23.

  I removed the battery to reboot and press and hold the ESC key until it finished reboot.

  This allows you to restart in safe mode and remove the colorid from your phone.

  Now, the only problem I encounter is that I can them to reboot on safe mode, it get hung up on the provider screen which always brings me to restart in safe mode.  Now I use my bb in safe mode

  looking for a solution for the provider to hang up.  I hope this helps.

• El Capitan does not recognize obsolete applications

  Made the leap to Snow Leopard (OSX10.6) to El Capitan the other day and am always adapt to the novelty.

  Something that annoys me, it's that I continue to see notifications that I have 3 available updates:

  iPhoto

  Opening

  and a software I tried once but never use

  I am aware that iPhoto and Aperture not are not supported in El Capitan... then why he keep bugging me to update?

  I can't find anything under the preferences that would disable notifications. Can I completely erase files from my hard drive to solve the problem?

  You can hide the updates on the app store by CTRL + LMB on white space near the update text and choosing "hide update".

  I'm developing an application which requires capture and screen injection permissions to set.

  I use the handler permissions application for these values are defined as allowed. However, whenever I run my application (on the devices of 4.6 and 4.7) I always get the dialog box "application attempts to modify its permissions. How can I get permissions to 'remember' constantly of my application?

  I'm not entirely clear how default settings are the settings that I am defining - i.e. If the default settings do not allow any screenshots or an event injection can we deduce that permissions will not be scheduled to allow permanently?

  Also is it possible to predefine the permission settings by default for an application that I'm loading on a specific device via a .alx files or javaloader

  "When I build I get separate cod JADs and jars for every module."-that's exactly what you expect.  If you load these separately, you will get three modules and three applications.

  "How my three modules should be packed (that is, as a simple JAD)" - it is relatively easy to package individual modules in a single jad.  If you look at chapter "Distributing BlackBerry Java Applications via the wireless network" in the developer's Guide it will tell you what you need to do to create a JAD handset.  Basically you just need to copy one of the jads and add additional lines for the other two modules.

  "Is it really possible for me to set persistent application permissions in a module that is a dependency of my application" do not think that "Authorization Manager" on the BlackBerry care about what is dependent on what it - it seems to give permissions for an application.  If you package your cod upward if the BlackBerry sees the as only one application, then I think everyone will be happy.

• Applications not registered in OS 6.0 permissions

  Hey everybody, I'm testing an application that is already at work in the various operating systems, in fact we have a device with the new os 6.0, in fact the problem is application requires permissions to work, but when prompting ti users change them, I select the record option, but the application continues to request the application of app. Check in the menu of application permissions and by searching for the app, it seems that these permissions are still set up to FAST instead of Save as ALLOW, the permissions that give this problem are location data, phone and simulation of entry permission, their values are changed even when I select save these permissions. If anyone is interested, the problem was that the demand for the invokePermissionsRequest and permissions values were in different classes, get them in the same class has solved the problem and permissions are correctly recorded.   When you open the JAD file with browser there is a checkbox "Set application permissions.

  I searched the forum, documentation, but couln can't find no trace on the way in which it can be done. The only reference I found is in this thread:

  The permissions cannot be made or requested in a JAD file.  Your application can use the ApplicationPermissions class to check if permissions is are sufficient and if not, request additional permissions.

  You can do this if the device is connected to a BES, it is called ApplicationControlPolicy.

  Yes, but they may be too old to work with El Capitan.  Look at RoaringApps.com to see if there is any inconsistency with these applications.

  I caught a strange behavior to use the app parameter map on OS 10.2.0.

  I use following code to call the card of my application permissions.

  After reinstalling it works normally. The user can change any permission. Example is attached (perms_normal.png). It shows that the rank of my app App_Name in title and subtitle App_Author. Also the dropdown list control is enabled.

  After the second call of the card, the screen is unresponsive on the interaction of the user. Example is attached (perms_disabled.png). As you can see the drop-down list button is disabled and online app has no name of the author. Also ranked app tap does not prevent to open the Details page of the authorization. At the same time that other controls work normally, I can type on the "back" button or scroll the list of applications.

  Then a few times user can change the permissions open my application.

  The problem on 10.2.0.1155 device simulator and q10 with OS 10.2.0.1157.

  Could someone help with this problem?

  I remember what a bug in Mac OS 10.2. I have not experienced this problem to 10.3, it seems to have been fixed since. There's not that you can really do about it for users still running Mac OS 10.2.

• BES 4.1.7 OTA application WebWorks - camera problem

  We build a webworks application, using sdk webworks 2.3.1 for OS smartphone devices.

  If we push the application manually in a dev machine to the phone via a usb cable, we are able to take photos and the photo stream app.  Our problem is that if deploy us the application on a server bes on a DIRECT phone, we cannot use the camera (nothing happens - the camera app is not open)

  Usually, when manually push us to a phone which we are presented with a dialog box advanced to allow the camera to be used by the application permissions, this happens when it is deployed using bes.  This suggests it might be a problem with the it policy, everyone had a similar problem and found a solution?

  Problem solved.

  In order for the camera to work from our application, we need set the event Injection allowed in default of the Application control policies.
