OfficeJet Pro 8620 appearing does not in devices and printers

Short computer news:

Computer 1 - ENVY HP dv7 running 64-bit Windows to 8.1

Computer 2 - Dell XPS 12 running 64-bit Windows 8

I recently bought a new 8620 Pro of Officejet and currently am having problems actually use it.

I have already installed the driver for long from the HP website, but the printer does not appear in devices and printers. Not only, I'm unable to send print jobs to the printer from my computer.

However, the thing that is most troublesome is the appearance of the printer in places such as Device Manager and the print dialog box. I would like to remind that even using the print dialog box or print through any application (E.g. Microsoft Word) in fact the print job never crosses.

I already reinstalled the driver several times only to get virtually identical results. This problem only seems to occur on my computer main use who WANT a HP dv7.

I have however a second computer is a Dell XPS 14 where I can use the printer very well.

With the results of the SFC is not not a complete success and the issue be isolated to this computer, I think that it is time to perform a Refresh of the Windows 8 operating system.

How to refresh, reset or restore your PC<>

It would be wise to perform a backup system to be on the safe side.

See you soon,.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620: WiFi will not turn off

Because of a problem with my modem compatible wireless (the problem being that its ethernet ports became defective), for awhile, I had turn the WiFi feature to provide Internet connectivity to my iMac.  Similarly, for the first time, I enabled WiFi on my HP Officejet Pro 8620 so I could keep a printing capability.

Once my new modem arrived, I restored my complete ethernet network between the modem, my iMac (and other devices) and the Office jet printer 8620 Pro.  Everything works fine now!

However, the printer Officejet Pro 8620 WiFi ability not shut down despite the operation by an ethernet cable and there is no WiFi from my modem.  I know the Officejet Pro 8620 always emits WiFi like my iPad and my iPhone indicate that it is.  As my wife is concerned about these RF transmissions that are on the other side of the wall adjacent to our bed, she asked me to turn off the Officejet Pro 8620 WiFi.  I've restored the "Default network" printer, but this is not the case.

According to the instructions of the printer, 'Wireless does not work with an Ethernet cable connected to the printer' However this is clearly not there.  How can I solve this?

Your WiFi is turned off.  Your wireless Direct is not off.  Disable wireless directly into the printer.   Info is in the User Guide.

  • My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a does not allow a webscan

My new HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911a does not allow a webscan on my laptop Dell Win7, which indicates on its Web page ¨that that the corresponding software is not installed".  I already tried in vain to install all software from the included cd, but did not find the corresponding software.  I was surprised to see that this cd does not start by itself, the single executable that I found was a setupxxx.exe and that did not include the scanning options.

Anyone has a suggestion to solve this?

    Hello tutoke

The Webscan must be selected in the tab of the administrator of the Embeded Web Server (EWS). See the screenshot below.

    1. Click settings
    2. Click the administrator settings
    3. Check Webscan
    4. Press on apply downstairs.

    Try to scan the image.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus does not connect through the Device Manager but will connect bij Win7.

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus that works very well with some computers connected via ethernet.

On a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate edition, HP Device Manager can't find the printer, even when I give IP address.

When I try to add a new printer network in Windows (add printer) windows detects the printer less than a second.

I need the hp Device Manager configuration so I can use all the options off the officejet.

    Problem solved.

The printer has a fixed IP address and the customer got his IP by DHCP. By dhcp, dns suffix has been changed so the printer dns suffix and the client does not mach.

Now the printer receives its IP address by the dhcp server. The dhcp server always gives the same address to the printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus does not fax

He just did not react, even if the Test Fax is OK (all PASS). I did a lot of testing. Sometimes (well only once so far), it does not recognize a call (I call from a cell phone, but I know clients that it does not meet either ordinary fax machines) and connect. Sometimes, he gets the call, but ask me to accept it, although the auto answer is on. And most of the time, almost always, it does not react at all.

It is a series of N911g Officejet Pro 8600. Brand new. It is connected to my PC (win7U) via USB, no configuration wireless fantasies at all. I tried to install manually and with the wizard, both directly on the printer to the computer. Everything fine each time, including a successful fax test all. But then no reaction. The line is a Fax line, with its own number, only for faxes. No problem to send faxes. I have tested the line on another printer (Epson PX830), with the same cable, just unplug the phone line on the Officejet and plug it into the Epson: no problem, all calls answered.

    Any ideas? Thank you!

It works with the new NT. I was even able to programm with the fax: for lines analog, you will need to enter your analog number manually in the NT by using an analog phone (or perhaps a more intelligent device for the pros, I guess). I just send faxes empty a little with the codes as numbers. I got an error message from the phone network, but the new testament had already swallowed the codes from here here. I have not tried the cable: too happy it works finally.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless: OfficeJet Pro 8000 wireless does not respond after a certain time

I use my wireless OfficeJet Pro 8000 for quite awhile now, but I have a problem that I can't solve:

Initially, it works allright. But after a few hours, it seems to go to sleep. And it does not print jobs more. I have to put the printer 'off' and 'on '.  After that, it will print the work queue.

I searched a timer as issues in the web interface of the printer, but can't find anything that points to a solution.

The printer is connected wireless to my router, using a 'fixed' IP address

    Can someone help me, please?

    Thankx

These settings are to set up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, wireless devices stay better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.

While the DHCP is convenient, devices like printers must always be assigned an IP (fixed) manually to avoid conflicts on your wireless network.

    1. Set a static in the printer IP address (click here) outside the range of the DHCP of the router (check your manual). It is for Linksys routers, but can be used for all routers. Check your DHCP range and change this first if necessary. More Help Wireless Printing is here (Windows solution 4, static IP).
    2. Or check in the printer "Auto off" is disabled the System Mode Time Out is set to zero (0) Use the built-in webserver (EWS) by visiting the printer address IP address in the address bar of your browser, click on settings tab/Auto Off. Or use the printer, printer Home Page (EWS) Wizard. Also check the properties of your printers.
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, disable the IPv6 option in the printer.
    4. If necessary and you have assigned a static IP address, try using auxiliary for the preferred DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS server.
    5. Wireless printers work only on the 2.4 Ghz band.
    6. Make sure the printer is on the latest firmware by checking with the HP support site.
    7. Check all devices wireless in your home for interference. Check microwave, babyphones, phones, wireless and wireless alarm systems are a big culprit. Any of these will knock at your printer wireless intermittently.
    8. Make sure that your printer and router are at least 6 feet, independently of the other.

In the router: (refer to the manual of your router for more information)

    1. Use a fixed wireless channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    2. Set the router to 20 Mhz only or 145Mbps router function.
    3. Always use WPA2-AES encryption (personal), but you can try the "mixed" mode
    4. Disable the WPS and never use it and disable the UPnP for the security of routers. No one can hijack your system now and help with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, research on the web).
    5. If you have a router dual band (2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz bands), make sure the SSID is NOT identical, they must be different for all the bands, even for networks without comments.
    6. SSID broadcast should be enabled.
    7. Save all the settings. Food at the same time, wait 2 minutes.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.
    8. Marketing the printer and check that it reconnects to the router.

Windows 7/8/8.1 is discovered the system on or off?

    1. Control Panel/Network and Internet/network and sharing Center / advanced sharing settings.
    2. Under home or work (current profile) / network discovery.
    3. Select "Turn on network discovery" and save the changes.

Last resort effort - if your printer has an Ethernet connection, suggest you to get some adapters line and convert your Ethernet wiring for your printer.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not wake

New OfficeJet 8 k wireless bought about 3 weeks ago.  The installer went well, prints nicely when it prints. Problem is that he falls asleep and is not responding to print jobs, ping, http, HP net diagnosis... Essetntially, it "disappears" from the network.  However, if I reboot the router wireless, just the router, he wakes up, will launch the impression of the task that has been waiting in the queue.  When it is invisible network printer configuration page print correctly when the button is triggered.  Nothing I do on the printers of the controls (for example wake up wireless, shut down and restart,...) it reconnects to the network.  The only thing that works is to feed the router market.  Calendar does not appear to be related to the printers power saving mode directly (i.e. when the printer goes to economy that is still accessible for some time).  Seems to take from one day to the next, pretty much, for the "disappearance".  Disabling the firewall (Comodo) PC does not fix.

    The Setup is:

    • 2 computers (laptop w / XP pro and office w/XP home/Media Center)-both with the problem.
    • Laptop wireless
    • Office wired directly to a port on the router ethernet
    • DSL modem connects to the router

    Network configuration:

    • Router Edimax BR-6204WG (802. 11 g)
    • Computers use DHCP; term of the lease has changed to 'forever' - did not help
    • The printer IP static value. Static IP also configured in router (xxx.xxx.xxx.195)
    • Router IP address xxx.xxx.xxx.193; mask 255.255.255.192
    • DHCP range set to xxx.xxx.xxx.198 - xxx.xxx.xxx.220
    • WPA - PSK security
    • Channel 6 (neighbors using 1 & 11)
    • On the PC printer port is a port TCP/IP of STD.
    • Lates firmware & drivers installed everything autour

Before this printer, I got a differrent print server (always connected, static IP xxx.194) who never had the problem.  It is a stable network that works intact for several years. I'm an it & network professional and at a loss.  Is ti software of the printer, the driver or the router?

    Any ideas?

Sorry to take so long to recover.  I tried different solutions, no luck.

So, I went with my gut and bought a new router (Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N).  My thought was that my 'old' router did not know how to wake up a sleepy printer.  New router has been working fine for a month.  Wakes printer very well.

As another advantage, one of my kids will get to upgrade their 802. 11 b 802.11 G with my old router network.

    Thanks again.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8000 Wireless does not connect to my new Airport Extreme router

I've owned my Officejet 8000 Wireless printer for about a year and had no problems with it.  However, my old wireless router wasn't fully compatible Mac so I couldn't fix it with a password.  I now need a secure network, so I bought an Apple Airport Extreme router in December.

Last night, I installed the router and it works fine on my iMac, my laptop and my iPhone.

However, tonight, I'm trying to implement Officejet Pro 8000 with no luck.  I searched the posts here for 3 hours and am not finding the help I need.  Based on the other posts, I read, I describe my situation below.

I am trying to set up the printer in my iMac Intel with Mac OS 10.6.4

I'm trying to set up the printer with the installation wizard HP I just install the printer software.

On the first screen of the wizard, it tells me that my device is not configured (I agree)

Then I ask him to set up a wireless network.

When I get to the network selection page, both my network AND my network of comments (that I let my neighbor use) are on the list with the full signal strength.

When I click on my network and then continue, the HP installation wizard hangs and I have to stop, he.

When I click on my guest and then network continue, I get the message that my network is not within reach.  (FYI, the printer is 10 feet from the router).

I tried to power on/off the printer, the router and the computer at all different stages of the process with no luck.

    For my Airport:

My radio is set to the most compatible choice

MAC access control is not enabled

    Everything is WPA2 security

'Use wide channels' and "Create a closed network" is unchecked

The channel is set to 11

I'm happy to try the "Add client in the network" thing I've seen on other posts, but I don't think that I have a front panel of the printer where I can start the "WPS" (don't know what it is) process.   If I do, it is not obvious and not in the HP manual.

My ISP is Comcast (cable internet).

I'd really, really grateful for the help!  Please let me know what I forgot to include information, and I will be happy to provide it.

    Thank you!

OK to reset the printing system again, he may be blocked.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600: Printer does not print in color

I just got the color cartridges refilled at Costco. Now, my printer does not print in color.  I printed out a diagnosis and cartridges are showing that they are full.  The actual color of magenta is a deep rose, so I know that some of the magenta is crossing. Cyan (blue) and yellow printed black on diagnostic tests.  I know that Costco filled cartridges with the appropriate color because I can see the color on/in the cartridge.  Suggestions on what to try? I bought the printer on January 27, 2013.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 OCR does not not on Windows 10

I need analyze many articles and OCR is essential. I tried to use the program to scan HP on my computer, but it does not give me the option to save it as an indexed PDF. I uninstalled the HP software and I tried to reinstall from the disc supplied, but it does not work because I'm running Windows 10. I then downloaded the software from the HP Web site, but when it came to choose what I want to be installed, he said what I.R.I.S. OCR is already installed. I checked in my programs and it cannot be found. In any case, I continued and opened to the top of the HP screen and tried to scan, but it doesn't always have the option to indexed PDF. I tried the solution resolved on another thread and completely everything reinstalled, but nothing has changed. Then I found another thread with a link to a download Readiris Pro 14, but it says that I need to finish activation by putting the rear HP CD, which does not work because I'm running Windows 10. So now I can scan, but I have no OCR.

    What should I do?

    I could solve the problem.

I used the instructions on another post to completely remove the OCR using Microsoft Fix It application, which then allowed me to download the HP software again and install it from scratch. Now I am able to install the OCR software that comes standard with HP printers.

My Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless suddenly doesn't work when connected via USB.  Don't try to re-run the HP Installation Wizard, the program reports no network detected (if the printer is right next to the Macbook Pro, which has a full signal from the network).  If I manually enter the SSID he says that he finds not only the network.  Network Configuration AMPe reports

    Hi @dshirley22,

    Thanks for the response back.

I would at this point uninstall all previously installed printer software. If you need assistance, here is a document that can help - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

Once the software is uninstalled, use the HP printer installation wizard to help install the software. This tool will search and find the version of the drivers and the printer software up-to-date.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.
