OfficeJet Pro 8720: Unable to connect to connected HP

Hello

My Manager accidentally deleted our connected HP settings (we only had our application printer code still used).

We tried to implement HP connected again however to get an error message:

Web services could be put in place.

We tried a factory reset, however we still unable to operate.

Please could you tell?

Thank you very much.

Flower.

Hello

1-restore default network of your printer

2-set DHCP network configuration

3. get mask subnet, default gateway, and DNS on your computer by typing ipconfig/all at the command prompt

4. get the network configuration of your printer to compare values. Mask subnet, default gateway, and DNS should be the same

5-make sure that the date and time is sinchronized

6. make sure printer has the latest version of the firmware

7 - enable web services in the web interface of your printer

8 - reprint code claiming

9. implement the new function

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: Unable to connect printer OfficeJet after update Win10

I had my Officejet pro 8600 perfectly connected wireless to Win 7 for several years.

After the update to Win10, I am unable to connect to the printer. The printer status shows that driver is not available.

I checked Win10 and Adobe by other suggestions from the forum. both are up to date with the latest version.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer Win10 driver and the download driver HP. None succeeded.

Run the convenience store Win10 shows that the print spooler cannot be started. He is set to start automatically, but is currently stopped. I can not start it manually, and it does not start after a reboot.

The fixed! I found the following information on a page of the Microsoft Help forum:

Thanks to http://www.registryrecycler.com/blog/2013/12/how-to-fix-printing-error-in-windows-8-1/ for the fix.

Apparently, the Windows 8.1 updates had the same problem.

Editing the registry is necessary. Make sure that you have a backup of the registry before making changes.

    • Press the keys Windows + R on your keyboard to open the run box.
    • Type regedit in the box run and press Enter to open the registry editor.
    • Confirm the UAC message by clicking on the Yes button.
    • In the left pane of the registry editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE to find the key below.
    • SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Spooler.
    • While the spooler key is highlighted, you can navigate the right pane to assign the value DependOnService.
    • Double-click the string value to change the data.
    • The data in the value field should contain the text saying RPCSS, followed by http in the next line.
    • Select and delete the letters http and click OK to save your changes.
    • Leave the part of RPCSS to the value data as it is written.

    Hey @mfbar,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that printer e-all-in-one Officejet 6830 and your Mac OS x 10.10 machine are not communicating. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    Turn the printer off.

While the printer is turned off, remove the power cord at the back of the router for a minute.

When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.

Now on the printer, click on the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

    • If the IP address starts with 169.254, the printer is not getting a valid IP address. Contact your internet provider or one that provided you with the router for assistance in ensuring the router assigns IP addresses.
    • If the IP address starts with 172, the printer is connected to a network of comments. Contact your internet provider or one that provided you with the router for assistance with deactivation of the feedback network.
    • If the IP address begins with 192.168, the printer is properly connected to the network. Please see below.
    • If the IP address begins with any other number, the network is maintained. Contact your computer or the one who manages the assistance network.

Once the above is done, if the Mac is still not able to detect the printer then the next step is to contact your internet provider or the one who provided the router. When you do, ask them to:

    • Open all ports.
    • Select multicast.
    • Disable MAC filtering/MAC cloning.
    • Make sure that the router has a band of 2.4 GHz (gigahertz).

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to connect to your printer, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8610: Unable to connect 2 laptop HP Officejet Pro 8610

I have 2 HP laptops each with Win7 (64 bit) SP1 and I'm trying to connect to the computer laptop 2nd in an OfficeJet Pro8610 to print wireless.  I tried using the CD rom and download the drivers online but I can connect this laptop to the printer.  I get to a point where the login process requires the printers claim id code but when I enter the code I got a message that this code is already in use (the other laptop is connected wireless) and in order to connect, I have to delete the other laptop.  I am at a loss here because I had both the same laptops connected to my old 6700 OfficeJet and could print without any problem installing wireless at all.

What I'm missing here with the 8610?  Thank you

The code you enter is likely to set up ePrint for the printer address.  Once this has been done it is not necessary to do it again.

An alternative is that the laptop is connected directly to the printer with direct wireless wireless.  In this case, you will need to disconnect the laptop computer from the printer to use the other laptop.

A better configuration would be to connect the printer to your router wither wireless or cable LAN cable.  It would give the IP address which you can find by pressing the front panel of the printer to the printer (if the printer is in mode "sleep"), then tap the wireless at the bottom of the screen.  This will bring up the LAN wireless status, where you can find the IP address of the printer.

You should be able to set up the printer with the driver available at http://www.hp.com/go/toolsinstallation wizard.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8720: officejet pro 8720 redirected printer

    Hello

We try to use a HP Officejet Pro 8720 on a server terminal server Microsoft Windows Server 2008. We have the pilot configured the server terminal server and do not use the easy print driver. The printer prints not even with the easy print driver.

When we print, we see the element in the local and remote queue and he leaves the queue of waiting but never printers.

The printer is running the latest firmware and we use the latest driver on the HP site. We have several HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 s and several computers all have the problem. It has never worked. This is a new installation.

It does not for us on Server R2 2012 either.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

  • HP OfficeJet Pro 8610: Printer cannot connect to the new wireless network

I got the OfficeJet Pro for a while and everything worked very well (including wireless printing from my Mac and iPad AirPrint). Yesterday, we got a new Modem Router (from Ubee). As I tried to connect the printer with the new network, I fail miserably.

Here's what I've tried several times: on the small screen of the printer, I select: Network Setup > wireless setting > Wireless Setup wizzard. The printer seems to networks, find the network and asks me the password, I get the password (I did this several times, so no typos!). The printer then "trying to connect to the network"... then it crashes: for a very short moment, I get a blue screen with a white error code (not always the same, for example.) B3FF3802) and then the message "error in the printer, turn off the power, then press.

I turned off the printer and turn it back on several times (incl. pulling out the power plug and restart after a while), but when I go through the steps above, but I just get the same endresult.

I deleted the old network as I feared it might interfere with the creation of the new network. No noticeable effect.

I printed the "results of the wireless network test," which confirms that "your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router. In the results of the diagnosis, he states that 'network name (SSID) was found - Fail.

I quite understand the message that the printer detects the network and shows good SSID / network name. I thought to enter the SSID manually but can't find where I could do.

I'd be very grateful for any suggestions on what could be the problem (I can't imagine that the printer would not work with a new router... I searched the internet and found stuff on 'Hello compatibility', but do not know which is the issue I'm facing.

    Thanks for your help!

"You can connect to the server through a proxy server" what is a proxy server address

    Hi @Raggetty ,

I understand that you are having problems with the printer via the wireless network. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Since you have moved, you must install the printer on the network.

If you haven't already done so, restore the default settings of the network printer. Go to configuration, network, restore default network.

Then set up the printer on the network again.

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: how to connect my laptop directly to my officejet pro 8620

    Hello

I appreciate what may be a simple question so apologies in advance!   I've been printing for a while but now need to print directly from my laptop without using the wireless connection wireless.   Please can you advise how to do this?  I tried to plug in an ethernet cable but it doesn't seem to work, and although I tried to look online guides, that I can't find an answer that works in EEM.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

You can use a USB cable to connect directly to your printer.  (do not connect the USB cable first! Read more on how to add a new printer (connection))

You will need to install the software to add the extra connection.

Assuming that you have installed the FULL features software, follow these steps to add the USB connection:

    1. click on start. Programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8620 > click on the printer

(you can also click the icon of the printer on the desktop)

    2. This will bring up the HP printer Assistant

    3. go to "Tools" > Device Setup & Software

("Note: this is not available in step 1: Device Setup and software")

    4. connect a new printer.

    5. DO NOT connect the USB cable until you are prompted to do so by the software!

Once installed, the USB should be the default printer.  If you want to print using the wireless again, you will need to select the correct printer with wireless as a result.

    Hope that helps!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: printer directly connected to the Internet

I'm trying to register for the HP ink cartridges.  The application calls a code to write on request.  However, the printer tells me that Web services are not enabled on my printer.  How can I connect a printer directly to the Internet.  I use a USB cable to connect the printer to my laptop.  Can someone help me so that I can complete the application of the ink?  Thank you!

    mcbrighde

    Hello @mcbrighde,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand you are trying to join the instant ink program, but need assistance in obtaining your printers code request. I would like to help.

In order to get the printers claim code, you will need to have the printer on a wireless network. An ethernet or LAN connection will also work. This will give the internet access to the printer so that the ink levels can be monitored.

You need not remove your USB connection for the printer on the wireless network.

The following link will help put your Officejet Pro 8600 on the wireless network.

HP OfficeJet printers - printer wireless (Windows) installation

Once the printer on the network, tap the icon of ePrint/Web Services to enable Web Services and acquire the printers claim code. The icon you are looking for is in the lower left corner of the screen printers.

You can also use the following link to view more detailed instructions.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 is not connecting to my router from 3 BT HomeHub

    Hello

I'll put up my new of Officejet Pro 8600 today and I was not able to get connected to my wifi router. If I try to use the wireless configuration wizard, I get an error saying that the password that I entered is incorrect (this is not - I tried several times to be sure) and I can't use the WPS connection option because this feature is currently disabled on the HomeHub 3 routers.

Can I connect the printer directly to a computer (via USB) or router (via ethernet), but none of these options is convenient as a permanent solution, given the current provision of my home office.

MAC filtering is not in place on the router.

You have other options I can try to get this printer running on my home network?

    Concerning

    Sabine

OK - got this problem 10 minutes after posting the original question. Typical!

The solution was to connect to the main desktop via USB and then use the 'Wi - Fi connection transfer' option in the HP configuration utility.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g wireless connection problem

I have a printer wireless OfficeJet Pro 8500 a909g.  My PC is Windows 7 (64-bit).  Recently, the printer wasn't working reliably and we took to reboot our router frequently at the same time.  Router problems seem to be solved because my PC at home and the work laptop are well connected and running.  However, the printer would not work last night when I really needed.  The documents would appear in the queue, but never reach the printer.  Today, I uninstalled all the software of HP using the CD of origin and reinstalled all the latest software and drivers from hp.com.  Of course, I rebooted the printer several times during this process.  Using the Network Wizard wireless via the screen of the printer, I am able to locate my SSID and enter the WPA key.  The printer confirms that it is connected to the network.

If my computer and printer are both connected to the same network why can't the HP software locate the printer?  Whenever I try to run the installation/Setup program it tells me that there is no HP printer on the network.  As I said, this printer has worked on this wireless network in the past.  I also downloaded and run the scan HP and difficulty of the program to see if she could solve the problem without success.

    Any other suggestions?

Well, what I'm going to make you, it's just a basic uninstall and reinstall the printer. I'll describe the steps and you are right, we can use the USB > wireless Assistant. You can access that by running the software after the installation of the USB. Here are my steps...

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it. Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

The START menu type "%temp%" and press on ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl+A and press on REMOVE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

Follow this link to download full feature software and drivers of the printer:
