Offline connection & WPS Timeout

I recently bought a new computer Dell laptop and a newJetpack of Verizon for the wifi source. The packaging says model of LTE 4 G MiFi6620L mobile access point. I have a printer series HP4700. It worked fine on the old network, but I am having trouble printing now. On the HP Network Configuration page, it shows offline. Just below that is a section called 802.11 wireless which has the address correct hardware (MAC) to my Mifi unit but disconnected said. Farther down on the page is an article that says PC connected, address IP/hostname, and it shows nothing. Everything is OK in the section downstairs discovered networks.

I found a thread on this topic but could not make it work even by following the instructions.

Hey @zawillis,

I want to help you get your HP 4700 with your Mifi network. However, I need more information before I can do.

  • Is your 4700 HP Laserjet or a Photosmart?

What is my model number?

  • Your new Dell laptop running Windows 7 or 8?

What is my OS?

You should have been able to set up your printer on your new Hotspot network. Once I get more information from you I will be able to provide precise indications of product.

Good luck to you and thank you for joining the Forums of HP Support!

  • Good method to reset the tcp connection after timeout error

I have an application that I build that communicates with a Modbus TCP device.  If a communication occurs error I wish I could reset it TCP communication.  What I have is a control that raises an event when pushed.  In this case, I have a sequence that closes first the tcp connection and then opens a new connection.  My application starts and works very well.  To test the reset function, I removed the ethernet cable from the camera and waited until a timeout occurs.  I plugged the cable reset back to and pushed my control. Sometimes the reset will take place, but most of the time I'll get a timeout in the TCP vi open error.  After that, the only way I can establish communications must leave my application, disable and then enable the network device.  Then, when I restart my application I have communication with my camera.

Any help would be appreciated on how I should be reset my TCP connection.

    Thank you

    Terry

Terry S of a. in writing:

I've attached an example vi (LV10) that shows just the connection TCP and Reset.  An error occurs when you try to run the open in the event of reset tcp protocol.

As writing that your code should be fine. There is nothing inherently wrong with it. However, depending on the device, you communicate with you can try to restore the connection too quickly once you have closed the connection. The device allows multiple connections to it and may require some time to clean up the things on his end after you close a connection. An experimental basis try wait little time between TCP and the TCP Open shut it down. If possible you can try using Wireshark to see what is happening on the network. It may be useful to diagnose what is happening.

  • HP Photosmart 8000 A809 printer offline connects to the Wifi network

My printer would sometimes disconnect from wifi, but by turning and the new, would solve the problem.  Now, I can not connect via wifi at all.  Diagnosis plug said: I'm very good signal strength with odds of PASSAGE on everything, no other corresponding network mine.

Config with the correct network name and an IP address of 10.10.10.125.  I tried the USB connection and then converting to wireless, but establishing assistant gets as much as setting her up and recognizing the device, then I get this msg:

    NON-CONTACTED DEVICE

The network configuration has been correctly transferred to the device. However, to continue to configure the network device, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the network: "JC XXXX" and try again.

Yet, the report says that I'M connected.  When I try to print something the msg happens "printer is off-line" still the blue light is on, and as I said, all diagnostics PASS.

I turned everything works, including unplugging the router several times, restart my mac etc.  I'm not missing any software updated.

I tried the suggestion of hp to put my IP address in my browser to access the Networking tab, but Google Chrome tells me that it can't find the address.

I also reset the printing system.

What else can I try to fix this?  Grateful for your suggestions!  Thank you!!!

Looks like you have problems multiple) a printer goes offline and then b) you can not access the IP address of the printer and c) you get an error saying 'Inaccessible device.'

What is the Mac version that you use to configure the printer? You're on a VPN or proxy?  Is the printer on the same network as the computer?  You have blinking lights on the printer?

Here is a very comprehensive document that covers everything you need to do to get the configuration of the printer.  I recommend restoring the printer by default and then try to connect again.  Page 76 of the User Guide talks about what to do if you are unable to access the built-in web server

  • How is used offline connection and how? Don't know what it is?

Any info on off connection and how to use it would be appreciated.

    Hey, Sheryl,

You can make network files available offline by storing files shared on your computer so that they are accessible when you are not connected to the network. If you do this, you can work with the files in the same way that you work with them when you are connected to the network. When you reconnect to the network, the changes that you made to the files are updated on the network.

Thank you very much in advance for all advice here.

    My situation:

Customer need and server side development progress on the computer laptop while at home and outside (travel, sometimes without internet/Wi-Fi connection)

I tried NAT, Bridged, Host-only, and can't seem to find an approach that works offline...

    More details below...

    My question

How to configure the network to use VMWare player for development while home/away (PCI offline without an internet connection)?

    Other details

My laptop runs Win7, I use Google Chrome, PuTTY, WinSCP client-side

My hardware router has an IP address 192.168.0.1

My VMware - Server Ubuntu - is configured to use the DHCP protocol

Online I mean a wireless connection to the router and the internet

    Offline - I mean wireless internet connection/no

    Networking networking

Works ok online. Does not work in offline mode

When online, I get IP 192.168.0.7 ifconfig in vmware... I can ping the router from the virtual machine and ping the server ubuntu from the command-line to Win7

Offline... Ping from VM to the router and Ping from Win7 to VM fail.

    NAT networking

Does not work online or offline

When 'online' I get IP 192.168.91.128 to ifconfig in VMware, I can ping the router hardware virtual machine ok. When I ping the server ubuntu command line of Win 7 I Request Timed Out

In offline mode, I get the same IP 192.168.91.128 to ifconfig in the virtual machine. I can't ping the virtual machine hardware router... Destination Host Unreachable. When I ping the server ubuntu command line of Win 7 I have inaccessible Destination host

    Host-Only

does not work for me either online of offline...

While online, that is to say that I can get the IP... 192 168 110 128 but the virtual machine can't ping router... Network unreachable. Win7 cannot ping server... Request Timed Out

While offline, I get the same address IP 192 168 110 128, but VM is unable to ping router network unreachable. Win7 cannot ping server... Destination Host Unreachable

On the screenshot-VMnet1 as VMnet8 - have APIPA (assigned automatically free private) IP addresses, which should not be the case. Unfortunately I can't tell you what is the cause! Could be something of a facility fails to a VPN client. What you can do, is click on the 'Restore defaults' button in the editor of virtual network or re - install VMware Player (uninstall, reboot the host and reinstall "as Administrator").

If you have access to the virtual network editor depends on the VMware Player version you are using. With some older versions - which had the "vmnetui.dll" in the installation folder - it was possible to start to operate:

    rundll32.exe vmnetui.dll VMNetUI_ShowStandalone

  • See Connection Server Timeout settings Kicking of active users on!

    Hi there is VMWare junkies

I have my access remote VMWare View 3.0 solution works now for a few weeks.  I tried to get the inactive users started well... so I was setting the display server upon connection settings then expire... the problem is... active users are forced out as well.

What my goal is... If a user has not been active in the last 10 minutes, it should them close their session and the VDI accessible to someone else... now it locks either their desktop computer when the screen saver is used, or expire their session, but does not release the Virtual PC for someone else to access.  It will also be timeout a user who is actively using the mouse and keyboard to access a virtual machine after the deadline expires, forcing OFF... it gives them 5 minutes warning, but you cannot override by the activity or anything... you're just disconnected.

Anyone experience this before?  Have any ideas that the parameter can be the cause?

    Thanks in advance,

    Ken

It can take care of by changing the settings of group policy for Terminal Server Services for the workstations.

You can do this through Active Directory GPO too.

Open a GPO and navigate to Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates/components/Terminal Services/Sessions Windows

Check the settings and see what works best for you...

I think that what you are looking for is:

"Set a deadline for the Terminal Services Sessions but inactive.

"Set a deadline for the Server disconnected Terminal Services Sessions"

    Hope this helps

2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor

    4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 memory

    Startup Disk INTEL X 25-M

Guest operating system is Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2

I purchased and downloaded the merger a few nights ago. As a new mac user, I managed to install VMware Fusion, and then the guest operating system apparently without a hitch. Windows has been activated successfully. The first thing I tried to do was open Internet Explorer to update the operating system. Unfortunately, I'm unable to connect to internet. After spending some time trying to load all the default is homepage, I see:

    Gateway Timeout

    The following error occurred:

A gateway time-out occurred. The server is inaccessible.

    Raise demand.

I read 'Understanding Networking in VMware Fusion' and tried to change the network mode from NAT to Bridged, while release and renew the IP address each time. I also disabled the Windows Firewall, which made no difference.

All I want to do is updated from windows, and did nothing else. So far, my user experience was quite disappointing. If you guys have any advice or suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    AJ

EDIT: In OS X, I installed Firefox and the official Logitech drivers, and the internet connection is fine.

What you have relayed by now, we know that this isn't just a merger cause and resolution will come from preforming the same diagnosis and methods as if it were a physical machine.

What version of Internet Explorer are automatically using and if IE 7 have you tried to uninstall/reinstall?

Also, there are half a dozen or several DLLs that can be re-recorded to try to correct the problem, but I don't have the list at hand and I would be Microsoft and Google looking for infmation to solve the problem anyway.

Also I would seek to control panel Internet Options to see if any setting is part of the issue.

Also if you try to use Windows Update with Firefox here is part of what is being said so automatic updates is an option until the browser IE problem is resolved.

If you prefer to use another web browser, you can get updates from the Microsoft Download Center , or you can stay up to date with the latest reviews and updates using automatic updates. To activate the automatic updates

    1. click on Startand then click Control Panel.

    2. view function Panel you use, classic or category, do one of the following values:

Click System, and then click the automatic updates tab.
Click performance and Maintenance, click System, and then click the automatic updates tab.

    3. click on the desired option. Make sure that automatic updates is not turned off.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
    2. what happens when you try to change the printer online?
    3. do you get an error message?

    Method 1
I suggest you try the steps from the following link:

The new status of the printer is "offline" after you remove a print queue and then restart a Windows computer
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2027593

Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article: back up the registry in Windows Vista

  • How can I recover the files deleted by Sync Center? I created files while offline connection, then when I am connected once again, they were deleted from my computer.

I keep files synced between my laptop and our server using under Windows Sync Center.  Normally, this works very well.

However, recently I did a lot of work so that offline and saved these files in the server folder synchronized (while offline).  I came back and unfortunately the entire folder that I had been synchronization had been moved and windows thought all my new files should be deleted and erased all!   How to make a comeback?

They are not in my trash.  My guess is that they are locked in a temporary file.

    Help, please!

    Hi Olen Ronning,

Thanks for posting on Microsoft Answers!

Let us check if you have the folder (offline) is located here.
    1. open the control panel (all items view), and click the Sync Center icon.
    2. in the left pane, click Manage Offline files.
    3. on the general tab, click the view your offline files.
    4. you will now be in your offline files folder. Open the folder to the location you want to see these files available offline.
    5. for example, select the computers and a computer network available. You will now see the available offline folders and their files offline in them.

    Or

If you work with offline files in different folders, you can see all the of them without having to open each file individually. Here's how to view all your files in one place offline:
    1. open offline files by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type and then offline files in the results list, click on manage offline files.
    2. on the general tab, click view your offline files.

If you still can't find the brand of folder that you have enough disk space for offline files.
And you can also view the folder on the server if it is updated with the latest files. because when you start windows updates the record with the most recent files.

Manage disk space for offline files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/manage-disk-space-for-offline-files

With the help of added see the articles below:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/working-with-network-files-when-you-are-offline
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/understanding-offline-files

You will not delete files when you sync unless Sync Center tries to sync with a file that has been deleted. If you have set up a partnership of synchronization for synchronizing files in two different places (for example, between a computer and a mobile device), Sync Center will keep the same set of files in both places. If you add or update a file in one location, Sync Center also will add or update it in the other location. Similarly, if you delete a file in one location, Sync Center will delete it from the other location.

Please let us know if this helps you resolve the problem or if assistance is needed.
    It will be useful.
