Offset of the keyboard/touchpad

Just got my new computer with Windows 7 yesterday.  So far I'm in love, but I bought it for the games, and this keyboard and mouse thing that really affects.  Whenever I use the keyboard, it takes a full second for the touchpad to answer. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change what will stop this shift?

Hi DanySaltzman,

1. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?

2. you are using a laptop or a desktop computer?

3. the problem happens only when you play the game?

I suggest that you change the settings of the application that is installed by the manufacturer for the touchpad. You may need to contact the manufacturer.

  • Z500 touchpad work not when you use the keyboard. Please help me please!

    Hello

I recently bought a lenovo z500 and it's great, but I have a little problem. When I use the keyboard to play games (I use the WASD keys) the touchpad does not, which means I can't play. Help, please!

I got it finally started working by removing the pilot of the momentum. I don't think that I will reinstall it. Thanks for your help

  • G780 keyboard does not work, but ONLY if the Elan Touchpad driver is installed.

I have a bad surprise today--unlike other manufacturers, which offers one year free tech support, Lenovo does not. $179 for a contract or $89 to cover an isolated incident. Thank you, guys. :-/

    Here's my problem.

G780, bought last October. Upgrade to Win7 Home Premium Win8 Pro.

A few days ago the integrated keyboard has stopped working. It works in the BIOS, but when you start in Windows, Windows does not recognize it.

There is a PS/2 keyboard driver and device keyboard HID that appear in Win8 Device Manager. I guess these are the drivers for the built-in keyboard. If I plug in a USB keyboard, it appears in the device as an additional device keyboard HID Manager.

By trial and error, I discovered that the keyboard still works fine when the Elan touchpad driver is not installed. The problem with THAT: I can not disable the touchpad unless the driver is installed, and if the touchpad is not disabled, it will screw me up because I accidentally brush my hand against the touchpad while typing.

I also noticed that sometimes the touchpad in the system tray icon with a WARNING icon overlaid on top of it (you know, the little yellow triangle with exclamation point). I can't understand why, and I can't understand what has changed on my computer that caused the keyboard to stop functioning properly.

I tried uninstalling the Elan touchpad driver, download the latest driver from support G780 web page and put it back. No luck.

I make do with a USB keyboard at the moment, but I really need this problem is resolved.

    Thanks in advance.

So I had uninstalled the drivers of momentum earlier... yesterday I tried to reinstall those supplied with the computer.

At least the keyboard worked now, but the drivers have not been properly disable the touchpad when I plugged the mouse.

Then I hit Fn - F6, not really thinking that he would do anything, but it fixed the problem.

I would have but the pilot would have overridden some setting I put with Fn - F6, but... maybe not.

    Problem solved.

    Hello

Normally, you just have to disable SmartSense or PalmCheck Control Panel of Synaptics - but from what I've seen, it seems no longer works for Windows 10 versions of this driver.

You may be able to work around this problem as follows.

First, download the Synaptics driver on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp59001-59500/sp59155.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open Control Panel, open programs and features, right click on the Synaptics driver and select uninstall.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

When windows rebooted, open your download folder and re-run the installer of Synaptics - when it is finished, restart the laptop.

Open the Synaptics settings panel, disable SmartSense or PalmCheck , then check if the touchpad works now with a key on the keyboard is pressed.

If so, turn on your wireless card and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the Synaptics driver.

  • loss of function of the keyboard and the touchpad

I am a rural small repair shop and received a HP/Compaq Presario CQ60-615DX to repair the loss of function of the keyboard and the touchpad. My first thought was that the Ribbon connectors came loose. However, when I first turned it on, the keyboard worked to enter the Windows password. Once started, the keyboard would not work. My client had a major sale/repair company and their solution was to install a keyboard on the screen and use a wireless mouse. I started my research in this tthinking of problem that perhaps it was caused by malicious software. Fortunately my client gave me the AC adapter while I was looking for input on the laptop voltage. It wasn't on the outer label, so I removed the battery. I reinstalled the battery and was amazed to find that both keynoard and touchpad work now.

What could have caused this loss of function and why would be to remove and reinstall the battery solve this problem?

It's probably that the battery actually acted as a hard reset.  A hard reset has the effect to remove remaining current EEPROM and other devices on the motherboard.

    Hello

To resolve this problem, use the following methods. After completing the steps in each method, check to see if the issue is resolved before you go to the next method. If the problem is resolved by any method, you do not have to use other methods.

  • Can the keyboard and the touchpad works at the same time?

I play games on my computer, so I have to use the keyboard and the touchpad. Whenever I have every time I press the keys on the keyboard, the touchpad freezes. But when I plug in a mouse, it works fine. Anyway around this?

If this switch Windows provides within the parameters of laptop does not help, try the setting as the manufacturer of your control in the old Desktop Panel.

    1. Press Windows + R to display the run box, type main.cpl , and press ENTER.
    2. Locate the touchpad settings, or if none are found, try the Hardware tab, and then click the settings button.  I can't be specific here because every computer manufacturer lets you customize where (or if) they put the settings here.
    3. If you find the touchpad settings, look for options such as 'Palm Check' or 'Rejection Touch' that could be causing your problem.

  • Satellite A110: keyboard, touchpad, power problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110, purchased a few months before. In recent weeks, it started randomly locking the keyboard and the touchpad (with or without external mouse plugged - although an external mouse still works).

Now there is power to the top of the issues, with the suspended system Bios Toshiba screen, can fully initialize maybe once in five.
Acquisition of wireless network is also very temperamental. I tried this software I can think (new drivers/virus scan/uninstall-reinstall), with the exception of a reinstall full backup disk Toshiba.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think we should first find out if the problem is software or hardware related.
In this case the installation of the operating system with the Toshiba Recovery CD is recommended.
After installation, the laptop should work without worries.

But if the unit will hang and not start properly there could be something wrong with the hardware.
I think that your warranty is valid and in this case you should always contact the ASP in your county for a check.
