Old computer / won't take Windows 10

My old computer will not accept Windows 10

I just bought a computer NUC

I have two (2) legal / bought from versions of Windows 7

I need to install one on my new computer NUC

The old computer is now disused,

I want to install Windows 7, updated and then convert it in 10 Windows

What is the best way to do it?

I am a senior with little experience with computers

It's not radiation of the processes involved with Windows 7. If your old computer has a full license of Windows 7 retail just install Windows 7 on a new PC and reuse the key. If authenticated some time ago, that he'll probably be re-authenticated without error, otherwise you will need to call the Activation Center

However, if the original license was an OEM is not transferable. If an upgrade license, this license is transferable, but the NUC would need a full license in the 1st instance.

This is the message I get when I put in place: you can only install a single Adobe product at a time.  Please fill out the other installation before installing Adobe CS 3.  I had a computer specialist to analyze it and try to help me, even the screen sharing and could not understand it.  He told me to call Adobe and as you know there is no one to help you live that can be very frustrating when you've spent the day and exhausted all options.  I know it worked on my computer and the fact yet but I use is more than one.  Can you or someone from Adobe please fix this.

I brought a personal computer and you want to install Windows XP Home Edition from my old slow computer to the new computer. Also, I don't know the old computer. Please advice how can I do?

If the license on the old computer is an OEM license, sure you can not because it is linked to the original computer its installed. If it is a full commercial license, you can. Just make sure you have all of your required drivers for when you are installing.

    I hope this helps.

  • I have an old computer from Compaq with Windows 98 on it. Can I upgrade to Windows XP?

I have an old Compaq that win98, I install Win XP on it? and it is quite easy to do?

    original title: the WINDOWS UPGRADE

Check that the disc does not have OEM on it, and you have a bet to level or retail key to go with it.

You should be able to run the install from Windows 98. If this is not possible your computer does not support boot from CD, you may need to run the install with a floppy disk.

  • Old computer reinstalled XP cannot connect to the internet. Could not find the iexplore

I have an old computer.  I reinstalled Windows XP on it about 30 days ago.  I can't connect to the internet.  I bought 2nd hand computer and I bought my own version of XP directly from Microsoft.  I can't activate.  I can not even find iexplore.  Any suggestions?  I installed a driver for the ethernet card and still nothing.

I've never dealt with XP MCE, but from what I've seen, you can get ambiguous messages during the installation process.  MCE was never intended for installation by end users; It came normally pre-installed on computers that have the necessary equipment to support additional features 'media '.

It seems to me that if you have to start over.  First of all, you should get a prompt for "Windows XP Professional CD2" - who wants to have the second of the two CDs.  Then you should get a prompt for "XP Professional Service Pack 2 CD." In response to this prompt, insert the CD first back in.

Assuming that work better than before, right-click on desktop and select Properties.  If the display shows service pack 2 - which I believe it will be - you only need to install sp3.

  • Can I transfer files from the old computer running XP to new computer before or after you move the new Vista computer to Windows 7?

I have a computer running windows vista that I'm planning on upgrading to Windows 7. I will be transferring files and settings from my old computer running windows XP SP3.  Can I make the transfer to the new computer before upgrade Vista to Windows 7 or should I first, up grade for Win 7, and then do the transfer?  I also asked a previous question about the email, I use Outlook Express on the XP machine.  What happens to the emails, settings, and contacts once I use Windows Vista and Win 7 easy transfer to the have Outlook Express? The new computer has Outlook 2003 is installed, all the settings will automatically go to this program?

Make the transfer later.  Everything you do is do more work for the upgrade.  It takes hours as it is.  Please use the forums of office for questions by email.  Click Office link in the banner at the top of the forum page.

  • My computer won't let me not reinstall windows because he thinks that it is 32-bit and does not recognize the installation discs. Help please?

My computer has not worked since I stopped him during an automatic update. Which I have been kicking myself since then, but the last time that he updated, he beat the computer and I panicked.

Anyway, it won't run certain programs, including iTunes and a large part of MS Office, and no matter how many times I try to reinstall, they still do not work, saying: "side by side configuration is incorrect."

What I want is to restore it to factory settings - all my data is secured and sustained upward. But when I put in my recovery disks (and they are the highest boot priority in the BIOS) the system takes care of the hard drive as usual. When I remove the ability to boot from the hard drive, my system no reserves at all, telling me to restart or insert a suitable disc. And when I boot from the disk and try to run it manually, by clicking ETFSBOOT, it tells me that "the version of this file is not this version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32 bit) or an x 64 (64-bit) version of the program. »

I have double and triple checked this - my system is 64-bit. My records are 64-bit. As far as I know, the computer got garbled during the automatic update and now part of it think it's 32-bit (some programs are divided into sections 32-bit and 64-bit). All I want to do is to reinstall windows, but I don't know what to do because it does not recognize my discs! Any suggestions, internet?

    Thank you very much.

In addition, if it is relevant, I'm Windows Vista on an ASUS K50IJ laptop. I do not have the windows install disc because the computer was shipped with windows installed, but I have the recovery disc ASUS (which have been used to restore my computer in the past).

    Hello

Since you are unable to open programs like iTunes or Office, you can try to perform the system restore and check if it helps.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:
