I have a pc HP Pavilion P6120T brand new. It came with a dual core cpu E5200.

Currently, I ordered an Intell E6300 cpu for a Dell computer, but, discovered that it does not work in this computer, so I replaced the cpu of my new HP with her.

Yes, it works very well but... The device driver indicates the old rather than the new processor E6300 e5200 processor.

The bios boot and the screen show the most recent E6300 as the fact no matter what test I performed on the computer.

I'm afraid to uninstall the processor in Device Manager.

Advice what to do? Something or nothing?

Mrjstak, I would like to clear the CMOS (prn. see moss).  It is the chip that contains the BIOS settings.  In some cases, it will continue to display the old information until it has been removed.  Here is a link that tells you how to do it:

Scroll to the bottom of the page.  You will find a section called "clearing CMOS settings.

  • Installed Windows on a new hard drive with an old processor, the video controller, there are no drivers

I have an old optiplex Gx280 dell and she had a damaged hard drive. I didn't need anything out of it so I got a new hard drive from Seagate internal tb and install a new copy of Windows 7 ultimate on it. I have updated all drivers for obtained with the exception of my video controller. Since then, I've used about 200 GB of space on it from the information that I want to keep, but apparently the drivers because this computer does not exist for windows 7. What should I do?

    Standard-Intel915G/915GV/910GL VGA graphics card
    Hardware acceleration is completely upward
Dirctdraw, Direct 3D is not available

If you can't find a driver update, you can try installing the driver in compatibility mode ' old'.  Simply right click the Installer do > properties > compatibility mode > choose OS

  • RAM upgrade problem: Flash the BIOS? or upgrade the processor?

Hi, I jumped in with both feet and now need help to get out me!

I have a desktop PC HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk who becomes a bit slow (processor card here http://ark.intel.com/products/48505/Intel-Core-i3-550-Processor-4M-Cache-3_20-GHz). After you have added a bluray player that I noticed that it's getting a bit slow so thought I would add little RAM.

I bought a few Hyper X8GB of HyperXbeast 1600hhz, slipped in and the PC did nothing but to turn on and off several times. I checked the two sticks and they both do it. I then (plow in front) checked what memory, the processor can handle and discovered "The Intel® Core™ i3 - 5xx / Intel® Core™ i3-21xx processors handle memory DDR3 1066/1333 MHz" by http://www.intel.com/support/processors/corei3/sb/CS-031175.htm

After a discussion on another forum, that it has been suggested that I have updated the BIOS because it can allow the processor to manage memory 1600 mhz, but I don't know where to start on this or what version to selected download. I'd appreciate any help you can offer on this.

The other way, that I can see is to update the processor itself. I thought of nothing too fancy just an i5 because it will allow me to run 3d blurays and should allow me to run some apps at the same time. After reading this http://m.wikihow.com/Upgrade-a-Processor it seems too complicated. Is it really just a matter of taking off the fan, declipsant the old processor, nine droping in and then put on some cooling stick stuff?

Or should I just return the memory and get good memory?

    See you soon

    Atdot.

Here are the specifications of original factory for your desktop HP Pavilion Elite HPE-470uk and its card mother MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E). Based on these specifications, this model can support up to 16 GB (4 GB x 4 DIMMs) as follows:

    Dual channel memory architecture
Four DDR3 DIMM sockets (240 pin)
    PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
    PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066)
    Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
Supports up to 16 GB on 64 bit computers

    In addition, this model can support the following Intel processors;

Maximum frequency of the processor of the heart < = 2.93GHz
    Intel Core i7 - 8xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 7xx (Lynnfield core)
    Intel Core i5 - 6xx (Clarkdale core)
    Intel Core i3 - 5xx (Clarkdale core)

If you do not have to worry about the update of the BIOS, there is no updates available for your computer BIOS. Honestly, I return the incorrect memory and upgrade to a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. Then, if it solves all your problems, you could also upgrade the processor.

As the computer is nearly 4 years old, you can consider a factory HP restore to return the computer to a facoty as State. In many cases, it returns original full speed of the computer. The reason why this helps, because the BONE is swollen and clogged over time.

  • HP Z200: Z200 Workstation processor Upgrade - having problems

    Hello

I have a workstation Z200 has been great without any problem. It currently has the i5-660 processor installed.  A week ago, I ordered a processor Xeon X 3470 online... Which is one of the processors tested and compatible with the Z200.

Told that the processor has been tested by a working machine and no problem.

    Received today the processor.

So I turned off the machine, unplugged everything. Removed the old processor. Clean the radiator with the thermal compound remover. Assured that the head of the processor was impeccable.  Inspect all connection on the processor and the power outlet.  Everything checked out great.  Installed the processor, apply the thermal paste. Installed the heatsink.

Plug everything back in and press the power button... Power led goes blue for 2 seconds... Then turns red and blurts out 5 beeps in 1 second burst. Then start again...

I tried swapping and relocation of the ram, the same question.  I removed the video card and used the edge. same question. I turned off the unit, pulled out all the ram left it unplugged for some time, reset the cmos. Returned later plugged it all back in and still beeps.

Tried to put in place the processor and still beeps...

I took out the processor, new installed the old and runs like a champ!

Any ideas on what could be the problem?

Given that you were the only kind enough to respond.  I wanted to return my staus update for you...

    I returned this processor...

I bought a new one and the system boots without problem!

Same CPU type and age and no problem!

I have messaged the seller of the business of first transformation on the back. He reported that the processor did not work for him as well...

The Xeon I upgraded just runs circles around the i5 in what I got here!  The machine is so much faster in the games and the process!  I'm a fan of Xeon now!

So if you ever see someone point out simliar like my past issues... Hopfully, this helps you!

  • small business of HP dc 7700: 1801 bios error after upgrading processor

I upgraded the processor of pentium dual core E5200 @ 2500 Hz. After all biosupdates, I still get the error from the bios 1801 on the revision of the processor. The processor is now set to 2500 Hz, before the updates, it was 1800 Hz as the old processor was. But I can't get the error removed. Suggestions?

added: the system is slow now.

    Hello:

I could run the last update of firmware and see if that fixes the problem.

Microcode update is a complicated business, but I simplified it for you...

Tools you will need... usb flash drive of at least 1 MB in size.

I have attached all the files you need below.  You will need to unzip them into their records.

    1. make the bootable flash drive.  Insert the flash drive into your PC and run sp27608.

2 once the tool formats the flash drive and make it bootable, copy the contents of the folder BACK to the flash drive system.  All the contents of the file, not the file.

3 copy the contents of the file in the folder BACK flash in the usb flash drive.  Once again, just the contents of the file, not the file.

4 restart the computer, press the F9 key and select the USB in the list of bootable devices.

    5. the PC should boot from the USB and will take you to a command prompt.

    6. at the command prompt, type Flashbin.exe and press the Enter key.

7 follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.

  • Upgrading processor on Pavilion p6314f

I have a new porcessor I want to use on my desk - I have improved the memory 16 GB and installed a best vidieo card-ATI Radeon HD 5770

    I left something here?

This seems like a good combo? I need this power to my Studio and video business.

    Thank you.

AMD processor model AMD Phenom II X 4 955 NPP

    HDZ955FBGIBOX

    Old processor:

    AMD Athlon II x 2 processor 240 2.80 GB

    New video card

    ATI Radeon HD 5770

    16 GB memory mapped

    Lloyd, welcome to the forum.

Let's talk about the video card. It seems from reading the plug on this model it requires a minimum of 450W to work properly. The current power supply unit (PSU) is only 250W. It is not simply enough to run it. This would require an upgrade of the power supply. I like Corsair and OCZ.  I recommend at least 500W.  Lack of cleanliness,' a stable current can cause performance problems.

Here are taken processors supported by HP:

Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:

    TDP = 125 W

    AMD Phenom II X 4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (D)

    AMD Phenom II X 3 Triple-Core (H) 7xx/7xxe

    AMD Athlon II X 4 6xx/6xxe (P)

    AMD Athlon II X 3 4xx / 4xxe®)

    AMD Athlon II X 2 2xx / 2xxe®)

It seems that your choice should work.  Given that you have, try it.

I think that this combo should significantly increase the performance of the system.

  • Halo will not play on the old Cpu

I recently found an old processor in my basement. (windows 2000, dell, 1000 MHz, 384 MB, 8 M Intel 815 (0 x 1132)). I installed Halo 1 on it and tried to play. I got this stupid problem message initializing Direct3D. I read that I could download Direct3D, but the wire to connect to the modem is too short and cannot reach. (In short, not internet access). How I would get the right program on the computer without internet connection? Can I use a flash drive? (I forgot to mention, CPU upgraded to windows xp) Please respond if anyone can help, and if possible, please provide step by step instructions, I'm not very tech-savvy.

    Hello

Link provided below in the light of the minimum requirement to play the Halo game. You can check if your computer meets the requirements, or you can use another computer to download the required software and transfer using a USB or update hardware.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/829479

It is the latest version of DirectX for Windows XP. You can download on another computer, transfer it to the problem computer and install it.

  • P6616F: PC will not boot after upgrading processor

I did some research which processor is compatible with my pc. I have a HP P6616F, AMD Phenom X 4 820 2.8 Ghz currently. I bought the FX6 AMD core 3.5 GHz.

Once installed, I turn on my pc, but see that the fan turns my screen stays on the mode 'sleep'. I have re installed my old processor and the computer works normally.

I checked for update of the bios and there seems to be none.

Any help to what I'm doing wrong?

For most things, there are not many benefits beyond 4 cores. An exception would be Adobe Photoshop and some programs that can benefit as many hearts you can give high-end video editing. For the most part, a 4 core 2.8 ghz processor is going to be as good as a 6 core 2.8 ghz processor. If there is a Phenom II, which is more than say 3.2 GHz, it might be worth it just for the increased clock speed.

  • DV2002TU of Intel Centrino of Intel Centrino Dual Core processor upgrade

HP DV2002TU do notebook PC with number of mother of the Commission; 417036-001 the existing processor is T1350,.

I recently got a laptop which is dv2000 series but who has the Intel Centrino core 2 duo processor

    Thanks for the tips

N ° here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

See on Page 3-9, only dv2200 series can use the Core 2 Duo processors. The best processor you can install is a T2600 which is not a Core 2 Duo and not a 64-bit processor, but would be an undeniable step forward on what you have.

  • Why my windows Vista processer became the classic windows processor?

My computer is 64-bit of Windows Vista. When using my computer, it changed randomly one day of vista taskbar and the classic model for the old. I tried to change the settings of vista, but even in doing so, it is classic. An example of what is happened is that I tried to play a computer game (Warcraft III), and I played on this computer before it changed. in any case, I'd just reinstalled today and under where it says installation it says "the game is not compatible with Windows NT. I then try to start the game and it made going to the loading screen then "not responding". Windows NT is the old processor of 1993, and I was wondering if my computer messed up and considering this isn't Vista more. If anyone has any ideas on what's exactly happened to my computer please let me know.

    Hello

I suggest you try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

NOTE: When you are finished troubleshooting, make sure that restore you the computer mode normal startup such as suggested in step 7 of the above article.

    It will be useful.

  • Update of my processor on Pavilion m7680y

Currently I have a core 2 duo 2.13 ghz processor. I was glad to think I could overclock, but according to everyone else, I can't overclock generation HP or Dell custom PC. So I was wondering if its possible to upgrade the processor by buying a new one, like a core 2 duo 2.6 GHz or more.

So I can jump off the old processor and place a new one in? And it will recognize by my computer and improve my performance? Or do I have to buy a completely different motherboard? If it affects the BIOS or that refreshes automatically when I put in the new processor?

You can upgrade to an Intel Core Duo E6x00 with Dual Core (core Conroe) technology

You must install the latest version of the bios update to update the microcode to handle the latest processors.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-54525-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&OS=228&product=3239104

To speed up performance, you can think about upgrading the video card, power supply and add memory.

  • Help upgrade a processor of ea 2442 p6.

    Hi I have a 2442 ea p6: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03714374

I'm looking to upgrade the processor to an i5 3570 k or an i5 2500 k, my question is would not a simple trade off the old processor to the new?

I managed to upgrade the graphics and PSU without any problem would it be the same thing. Thank you.

None of these processors ("i5 3570 k or an i5 2500 k") seem to be compatible.

Review the specifications of the motherboard and look into the compatible CPU full model designations.  There is no models with K designations among the list of compatible CPU. The difference is the graphics chip, which is disabled by your motherboard.

The upgrade should be quite simple. Use a high quality thermal paste and follow the instructions. I suggest Arctic Silver and instructions for installation on their Web site.

    Kind regards
    ERICO

  • Processor upgrade: 8199-54U A30 for Pentium 4 Celeron

Does anyone have experience upgrading a Thinkcentre A30 or any model of a Celeron Pentium 4 processor Thinkcentre?  For the A30 8199, the motherboard for the different models is identical - FRU 88P 8477.  So I guess I can run a Celeron or Pentium 4.  Here's what I course.

I'm trying to upgrade my Thinkcentre A30 8199-54U a 2.4 GHz Intel Celeron processor to an Intel Pentium 4 3.06 GHz.  When I install the new PC P4 processor returns a 1-1-3-3 (CPU initialize registry) beep code and will not be DISPLAYED.  I re-installed the old processor Celeron, flashed the BIOS with the latest version of lenovo.com (May 2005), re-installed the P4 processor and still get the same 1-1-3-3 beep codes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

On paper, it seems, the 3.06 should work, but I suspect that you have a D1 walk instead of a C1 stepping, which is what is stated in the list items. (The A30 comes with a P4 3.06 on some models, so it should work)

The parts for your machine can be found HERE where it clearly lists at the bottom of the list of processors 3.06. Your motherboard is a 533 Mhz with AGP.

Check the number sSpec on the processor you have and add it to this list HERE on the site Web of Intels. If the processor you have indeed a D1 strengthens, that would most likely be the cause of the system not recognize. Find other treatment with the correct sSpec number and you should be good as gold.

  • Dropped frames with 980TI, very fast processor and SSD

    Hi all

I'm currently editing some 4 K and 1080 cineform film scan 1 sequences on a 1080 p timeline, the things is I have a lot of dropped frames, when using plugins (Accelerated ones) stock on adjustment layers, sometimes even on the clip to...

Is this normal given the CPU goes from 80 to 100%, but the GPU is just over 40%?

    My equipment is:

8.1 to Windows and the latest demo of first Pro CC

    2600K @4, 5 ghz

12 GB of ram (could be the cause)

    GTX980ti (Stable OC)

    Vertex SSD for the OS

SAMSUNG SSD for the project and sequences (Blackmagic speed test shows constant ~490 mb writing ~ 520 MB read)

    Thank you all

Clock speeds are not a reliable indicator of processor speeds - they hit a ceiling a few years back really, so they found other ways to make processors faster and more efficient without increasing the clock speed.

Your 2600K is a Core i7 2nd generation with 4 cores and 8 wires, while the most recent 5th-Gen 5820 K 6 cores/12 threads, but "only" a 3.6 Ghz compared to your 4.5 Ghz clock speed, but what one do you think is faster?

You will probably need a new motherboard for the processor more recent, but even if required do not, would be prudent or the old motherboard would be a performance bottleneck. Most recent MB would be faster RAM. And get at least 16 GB of RAM, if not more.

You want a system that is "balanced", which means that all the components complement each other. You don't get full of the GTX 980, since performance the old processor and motherboard are dragging it down like a boat anchor. Like putting a Corvette engine in a Chevrolet Vega old... you won't have any suspension, steering, braking, traction to handle all that power and will not be able to open up the throttle! With the new CPU, MB and ram, you would have a more balanced system. A Hot Rod. You can even add another drive, or both, for example, the media Cache.

Check under file > Project Settings > General to see if the GPU rendering is enabled, or if the value to the software - cannot even make use of the 980 for acceleration card.

    Thank you
