small business of HP dc 7700: 1801 bios error after upgrading processor

I upgraded the processor of pentium dual core E5200 @ 2500 Hz. After all biosupdates, I still get the error from the bios 1801 on the revision of the processor. The processor is now set to 2500 Hz, before the updates, it was 1800 Hz as the old processor was. But I can't get the error removed. Suggestions?

added: the system is slow now.

Hello:

I could run the last update of firmware and see if that fixes the problem.

Microcode update is a complicated business, but I simplified it for you...

Tools you will need... usb flash drive of at least 1 MB in size.

I have attached all the files you need below.  You will need to unzip them into their records.

1. make the bootable flash drive.  Insert the flash drive into your PC and run sp27608.

2 once the tool formats the flash drive and make it bootable, copy the contents of the folder BACK to the flash drive system.  All the contents of the file, not the file.

3 copy the contents of the file in the folder BACK flash in the usb flash drive.  Once again, just the contents of the file, not the file.

4 restart the computer, press the F9 key and select the USB in the list of bootable devices.

5. the PC should boot from the USB and will take you to a command prompt.

6. at the command prompt, type Flashbin.exe and press the Enter key.

7 follow the instructions on the screen to update the firmware.

I replaced my processor, as described and on startup, I get the "1801 - Microcode Patch error...". "mssg telling me to 'contact' Compaq for a new ROM BIOS to take in charge the new stepping. I have to push 'F1' at startup, then it starts and runs significantly faster than before the upgrade. I found the BIOS upgrades to the HP site but I cannot know which is correct. Hello:

I'm sure that a Pentium 4 processor 2.8/533/512 will work fine with your current configuration to 95%.

Certainly better than celery.  I even think that the P4 2.4/533/512 would be better than celery 2.8.

But go for the P4 2.8. They should be cheap and abundant.

Just check you get one with the FSB 533 and 512 KB of L2, FSB 800 or 1 MB L2 cache cache, or it won't work.

It's one you need - and the cheapest I could find - buy - it now.

  • No. P50 - A BIOS satellite after upgrade to 8.1

Before updating the windows 8.1 I could enter the system BIOS by pressing F2 early in the boot process. After the upgrade this no longer works. It seems that the "quick start" option has been reactivated and I want to disable it.

How can I get into my BIOS now?

It seems that a few reboots are needed. Perhaps to complete the updates. The F2 key worked after that.

  • Tecra M7: Various errors after upgrading the BIOS version 3.30

After that I updated my bios to 3.30 I have the following problem:

-A edge wireless turns off after a while and can not be activated until I restart.
-Battery information is wrong. I tested the system, I can use 1 hour after he said that my battery is 0%

How can I solve this problem? I have to downgrade my bios version?

    Kind regards.

    Hi mate,

Let's see if my advice would be useful for you:

    1. try to reinstall the driver by downloading the latest version of the driver on the Drivers Toshiba download site. What you could also try is to disable the powermanagment for the wireless network adapter. (Just go into Device Manager, find the wireless card, and that there should be an option with a checkbox to disable)

    2. it's really rare, never heard talk about this issue. One idea would be to change all the parameters powersaver to your machine so that the battery will empty without entering in the day before etc... Just let the machine work until the battery is empty. Then remove it for about 1-2 hours, reattach and start windows. The battery should indicate 0% and then you leave the machine to load the battery. (the machine must be turned on). I hope that the battery must show it s correct percentage after you complete these steps.

    Welcome them

PS: Please write again if it worked

  • Satellite A300 - BIOS downgrade after upgrading the BIOS

I did an upgrade of BIOS of victory of version 1.6 of 2.10 - at the recommendation of the Toshiba site, for my laptop A300 1N0 - model PSAGUE.
Touchpad no longer works. I have 2 operating systems, XP and W7 is the same.

I start the laptop with the Windows Live CD and Ubuntu Livecd and nothing has changed.
The mouse works, but the touchpad is still dead.
    Any advice?

How can I find the old version of the BIOS to do a downgrade?

Try contacting the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country. They have access to the database of Toshiba and the access to the Archives of BIOS.
I'm sure that they can send you old BIOS version and you can downgrade BIOS on your laptop.

This results in issues with error thrown POST and HP SoftPaq Download manager does not recognize my system.

Well, I finally found how to get the active info.

When the error MESSAGE screen appears and the F1:boot option is available, then press F1 and immediately, press ESC.

Now, go to the setup and press CTRL-A. Under Security, you will have an additional option. This is where the data can be added.

He fixed the POST error and HP SoftPaq Download manager.

But I should have know of previous BIOS updates that HP updates usually suck. Now it takes forever to start from the previous version I had.

Or maybe I need to change a setting somewhere in the BIOS.

    > Did you know BIOS is fixed on the motherboard?
Not the BIOS is fixed on the motherboard, but the ROM module is fixed on the Board!

Please don t try to correct yourself because you can really damage the jury!
And as you've probably experienced the motherboard is one on the most expensive laptop parts.
Notepad allows you to checked by a technician with experience of the computer laptop and don't try any dangerous experiences it s not worth!

  • Satellite L550: BIOS settings after upgrade of security suite

I have two of my machines restarted two nights there after an upgrade to my security suite.

Now my office restarted without a hitch and the upgrade went through without incident.
However my L550 rebooted to a screen called "Phoenix SecureCore Tiano Setup" and I notice in the BIOS system Toshiba 1.70.

Now knowing what to do, I ran across the screens that lists the components that were in the machine and after that just after the installation itself.
Now the machine reboot ok and it seems to work more quickly - I have no beef with that, but I would have thought that Toshiba would have warned me that it was about to happen.

I'm a bit experienced user and vaguely knowing what can be done with the BIOS settings and not knowing how to do these were my insides run at a gallop.

What is the go with that?
I now have to Phoenix BIOS instead of Toshiba and it's this kind of thing is going to happen in the future as a warning would be really appreciated by people like me!

    Hello

Support L550 Phoenix BIOS but its modified by Toshiba.
It s nothing unusual each laptop manufacturer to set the BIOS for the purposes of the laptop.
To be honest I n t have any experience with the Phoenix SecureCore Tiano and cannot say anything about the modified BIOS options. However, each BIOS can be set to the default settings.
So in all cases, you are able to load the default options in the BIOS.

I'm not sure what button you press to get the default settings (I guess that F10) but this info is always mentioned at the bottom of the BIOS screen.

  • User logged on the server over the RDP session - Small Business Server 2011 x 64

We have a Small Business Server 2011 standard x 64.  We have the configuration of the remote desktop on port forwarding in the firewall to allow a user to connect to this server using RDP remote desktop.  This isn't a server terminal server.  No, there are no available Remote Desktop Manager settings.

When the user connects through the RDP application and connects to the server.  If the users session is idle for 15 minutes, the user is connected to the server (not disconnected the RDP session, just to connect to the server).  The user must log into the server every time that happens.  We tried adjusting the Remote Desktop Session Host settings and changed the Session time limits, but this isn't the parameter we are looking for.  We have looked extensively through the default domain group policy and see nothing active to this behavior.  We examined local group policies and studied the session time limits in the user and computer configuration > policies > models Admin > RDP >... session host and it is has anything configured here which could trigger this behavior.

Yet once, it connects the disabled user, not closing the remote session.  We have also examined the user account for this user and looked for resume posting require logon settings (although with SBS, it is not even there to adjust the display settings).  I had partner Microsoft supports focus on this during one hour (he didn't use too much of my time to support) and they have been unable to resolve within an hour.

    Help, please!

    Thank you.

  • CRM using SQL database in an environment of small business often inaccessible with the following error message

    Hello

This is my first time on this forum so bear with my ignorance!  I'll expose the background of my setup and then explain the error.

We have a small business with a server running SBS2011 and PC running Windows 8 and 8.1 connected to the server in a domain environment.

We use a CRM product called Emu Tall that uses SQL Server 2008 R2 on the server for the database and the PC run a local application that connects to this database.

On a daily basis, but completely randomly and sometimes several times a day, a user will try and open the application on a PC and get the following error message.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlEnum, Version = 10.0.0.0, Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken = 89845dcd8080cc91' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the specified file.

At first, I thought it must be a matter of waiting time as it seemed to happen every morning, but I've proved since that it occurs at any time of the day and is apparently unrelated to amount of users or idle time or something like that.

Here's another oddity that hopefully sheds some light on it. If I go to the server and open the CRM application on the server, it works very well since it is only the PC that have the connection problem.  In addition, as soon as I connected to the server of any PC can connect immediately (until it happens again later in the day).  I don't need to stay connected to the server, connect one time and close the session and he "fixed" it for a few hours for all PC users.

I contacted the CRM vendor, and they are completely confused and have no idea what to do.

We are trolling along at the moment with me opening a session on the server for launch launch whenever a user receives the error message but it is far from satisfactory.

A final observation is that it does not always.  It used to work fine.  The problem began just two months ago and seems to coincide with the increase in our user from 5 to 12 users license even if the CRM provider swear that it is nothing to do with the license.  They may agree; I don't know enough to argue the point.

Any help will be appreciated! I'm sure it will be a simple solution and someone there will know why and the answer immediately but is elusive at this time.
