Old software update

Trying to update my iPad 2 for the latest OS but I get.  Cannot install error install iOS 9.2.1 update.  Initially, I had a message on the memory is almost full.  I deleted all the downloaded apps.  He now has a little more 10 GB free.  Any ideas?

Place your device in recovery (DFU -Device Firmware Upgrade) mode :

Follow these steps to put your device in recovery mode iOS. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.

1. disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, but leave the

other end of the cable connected to the USB port of your computer.

2. turn the power off: press and hold the sleep/wake button for a few seconds button

until the Red slider appears, then drag the slider. Wait until the device turns off.

* If you can not turn off the device using the slider, press and hold

Buttons sleep/wake and Home at the same time. When the device turns off,

release the sleep/wake button and the home.

3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable on the

device. The device must light up. Note: If you see the battery charge warning,.

leave the unit in charge for at least ten minutes to make sure that the battery has some

charge and then start again at step 2.

4. continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen

When this screen appears, you can release the home button:

5. If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following alert of "recovery mode":

6. use iTunes to restore the device.

If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, repeat these steps. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

Note: When you use recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All content on the device user is deleted, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • Older A1138 Office do not restart after software update?

I have worked on an old Mac Office since last night, think that the owner said it is a model of A1138, do not see anything in the associated model anywhere on the unit. The OSX Snow Leopard loaded very well so I ran the software update, but after that he showed that is was downloaded and restarts, it seems being stuck at this time, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?

Sorry to not give more details. Guy brought this machine for me yesterday. He said his tenant that moved did not have to take this very old and heavy machine for him, then the tenant given to him. The owner however gave him the unit without the disc hard OSX but hard left 2 discs in there for him. So, I loaded 10.6.3 original CD-ROM from Apple on this topic. I'm trying to upgrade from 6.3 to 6.8, but after he showed that the updates have been downloaded and restarts, it seems to be stuck at this time here with just the 'outer space and stars' screen purple color, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?

  • the printer HP 5.0 software update

    Hello

I recently received a notification on my App Store, there's a "HP Printer Software Update 5.0" that had to be downloaded and installed on my macbook.  I don't think I've ever used an HP printer on this unit (I only own a Brother printer), but I thought it was an update "just in case".  I tried to install the update, but whenever he would stop calculation, it would show that he was "placed" under the column "updates installed in the last 30 days", but he would still show an available update.  I tried this twice with the same result.

So, now I'm stuck with the App Store icon with a red circle '1' on it, which is obviously tolerable, just a little annoying.  I'm also afraid that my mac is defective in not allowing this update to occur.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem, or how to remove it from my update list?  Or ideas on what is happening with my system?

    Hello

I got this update too and downloaded, but I have a HP printer. The problem I have is that, after that my printer download appear always have the old 4.2 update lol do not know whether or not

If your system still works very well I would just ignore it, I know how boring it is

How can I get rid of unwanted software update message?

Mac Book Pro, OS X 10.9.5.

On 3 June 2016, I received a notice to update software for my Brother printer. Driver version 4.0. I don't remember if I downloaded it in fact. Then I went on the site of brother and checked for the last update which proved be driver version 4.5. I have successfully downloaded that. On 10 June, I received a software update for the old driver version 4.0 again. I don't want to install an older driver, but I can't get rid of the nagging update notice. Too late, it got installed when I was composing this message. So, if I reinstall the 4.5 update and I get another message of updated software for the 4.0 update, how do I get rid of him?

When I select the update of the software community, he rises to the Windows software and I can't change it.

I used to get update notifications for flash. I uninstalled it and now they don't bother me. And updates to OS normal mac, can be disabled app store mac settings.

In your case, I can say, try to delete the brother driver and install again, if it you nags once more.

No, if you ask for something 'new '.

You don't specify what model of AirPort Extreme you have, but if it's the current 802.11ac 'tour'-shaped version, the last update of the firmware was well over a year. Make sure you have the version installed on the AirPort Extreme 7.7.3 .

If you have an old 'flat' 802.11n or version "square" AirPort Extreme firmware update 7.6.4, who is 3 years and more.

Please specify on the version you have on your AirPort Extreme.

  • Required more basic info - software updates for Tecra A4

IV' e downloaded some software updates for my Tecra A4, but they all seem to have lack of basic information.

Where the .txt files simple that shows the history of the files? Similar improvements have occurred? Or what bug fixes? Or is this installed just overwrite the old version?

This is basic information that are included in any software downloaded from shareware and freeware sites and pretty much everywhere else so why not on the Toshiba download page?

    Hello

Well, that's a good question, but as far as I know on the driver download site, you will find an option called more than information. You will find common information and a description. It seems that all the other information are confidential.
I think that if you have problems with your device and you will be able to find the most recent version of some drivers then you must download and install.

Toshiba Software is not freeware and also not shareware software. In this case, I can understand why Toshiba doesn't publish more information than necessary.

  • iMac 3d party software updates do not work

I have an iMac 27 OS 10.11.3 24GO RAM and enough hard disk space. Have now two 3d-party software/applications that require updates. Download software updates and then ask ok close to installation of update. This is done, but no update is run and once again demand even the update appears on the old version of the software. I can handle this with a manual download from the web page of providers, but this is not how it should work! No idea where this can be fixed/fixed?

Have you been in contact with the developers of the applications to see if they are aware of similar problems?

  • Software update does not see Bootcamp 6

I'm running OS X 10.11.3 (El Capitan) on an iMac of retina end of 2015. I migrated from an older iMac, including to move a partition, Bootcamp with Winclone. I was able to move from Win 7 to 10 to win on the old iMac and successfully get the partition installs and runs on the new iMac, but with intermittent problems.

Apple Software Update on 10 to win is a recent version, but he claims that all software up-to-date despite the fact that the Win partition is running Bootcamp 4! A downloaded installer 5 Bootcamp will let me install this version (not designed for this computer). However, every time I try to install Bootcamp and WindowsSupport to download drivers, the installation stops with an error in step "checking launch conditions.

I could enter and update the drivers, but I can no longer use the Bootcamp Control Panel - it claims that I don't have sufficient privileges to change the boot volume, even if I'm using an administrator account. I also get random and BSOD diversions, but not consistently.

How 6 Bootcamp to install? Other solutions I've seen about having Apple Software Update download it, but mine says I'm updating and then closes. I can't run the installer Bootcamp directly, because he says he needs privileges escalated the use of setup.exe. When I followed a suggestion elsewhere and used a tool called Orca to modify the .msi file to install Bootcamp, I could make a copy and remove both escalated privileges the conditions to launch "requires Windows 7", but it would still not work, saying that I had to be on Windows 7.

Long story, but what gives? For the moment, it may not be important that I am under Bootcamp 4, but I suspect that this situation won't last long. Mainly, I can't understand how to upgrade the Bootcamp software without backleveling in Windows 7 (which I can do yet, apparently, but not taken in charge on my new iMac) or wipe the partition and fresh install from an ISO and a new activation key (and to try to restore all my files and applications).

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Where is the download of a software update?

    Hi all

I just bought a new MacBook Pro (running Mac OS 10.10.5) and I update iTunes to the latest version of iTunes version 12.3.2 using the AppStore.

Everything worked well until now. But as usual I usually copy all files ".dmg" or ".zip", any software update on an external drive to backup.

Being new to Yosemite and the using the AppStore, I didn't find the fichier.dmg/.zip of the 12.3.2 iTunes...

Could someone kindly point me to the right directions where to find this file?

    Thank you very much

    William

There is no more accessible to the user zip or dmg file with the Mac App Store.

  • A later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer.

Recently, I had a new iPhone 5, so I had saved my old iPhone 4 with iTunes so I could transfer all my information. But when I connected my iPhone 5 it came with this message: "the"Rachel's IPhone"iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.come to download the latest version of iTunes. " The iPhone 5 is iOS9.2

So, I went on the website to download iTunes, since this was the 12.1.2 version and should be downloaded 12.3.2, went to do the implementation, then it came with the message: "a later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer." So, I tried to uninstall it (after each step on the Apple Support to do) but when I went back to uninstall all apple programs, I could not find "Apple Software Update", it wasn't in my programs...

I did all the steps anyway, and the same message of "a later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer." came after I tried to reinstall iTunes.

So, I guess my overall question is, what should I do? How can I fix?
    Please answer quickly.

Try to repair the Apple Software Update of the programs and features Panel, remove it and then reinstall iTunes.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • Cannot install itunes. Older version of apple software update is a ghost file.

I had itunes on our laptop a few years ago and uninstalled through the normal route of the program uninstall Windows 7 a few years back.  Now I am trying to reinstall itunes and it comes up with the error "failed to remove the older version of Apple software update Contact your technical support group. "When I go in uninstall programs it shows"Apple Software Update"but when I click on uninstall, it says:"the configuration data for this product are damaged. Please contact the support staff. "When I search the file it's no-do. It is a ghost file.  Deleted, but still think it's there.  I tried to run "from the mistakes of audit" on the disc. I tried using Unlocker that does not show the program, says it removed and it is in the trash but still the same error. I contacted Microsoft and she ran at a command prompt to check for problems, (I do not remember the guest, she used) but also, it does not work.  How can I get rid of this ghost file?

There are two former programs that show in uninstall program - one is called Apple Application Support and the other is updated to Apple, both installed software on 31/03/2012.

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Try the tool MS difficulty under the second box to see if that can see and remove ASU. Otherwise, delete all other components and install everything except ASU proceeding to install missing components. iTunes didn't need ASU to work.
