OLEPRO32.dll could not be saved

I've been using Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0 Professional edition on Windows XP & it has worked; but the computer with this operating system is dead, I bought a new PC with Windows 7 Starter edition. I installed Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0 Professional but when I open it, it gives me the error popup:

OLEPRO32.dll could not be saved.
I tried to remove Visual Basic (4.0), re - install (including ole32.dll & olepro32.dll files in Windows-System32 folder) but I still get the same error.
Microsoft Visual Basic 4.0 Professional edition costs $500 when I bought it in 1997. I realize is an older version of Visual Basic at this point... I also realize account that Microsoft Visual Studio Express (2010) is free, but does NOT allow me to open & edit my older projects (which means I've lost countless hours of good programming); and doesn't allow not me to create .exe files, which is the whole point (end of account for the purposes of the distribution of my Windows applications).
The solution seems to be for me to pay $799 + for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional edition which is incredible & you know it's... I just spent the last hour looking for help on the Microsoft site & then getting the run around for technical support who recommended that I pay $299 for their services & you know even if I was rich I would not do that because you don't get rich not wasting money...
I don't want to complain, but if you read this do isn't the question why I always VB4 (as I have already explained I a work of quality older at the end) but rather a question of the integrity of Microsoft, its practices, and I dare say, the integrity of its programmers - you know that their programmers are incompetent limit if I use VB4 on Windows XP but not Windows 7, otherwise it's a question dealing with greed & person not wants to be right with me on this subject that they would rather give me the evasive & call it "professional"...
At the end (finally), all I'm looking for is someone WITH INTEGRITY & REAL KNOWLEDGE OF COMPATIBILITY to meet know how I can get this olepro32.dll recorded on Windows 7... Thanks for reading & your help!

I just thought about it!

This answer is useful not only for me, but also for other similar positions...

Instead click on Visual Basic 4.0 (to open it in the Start Menu), try right-clicking on it & select Properties, select the folder compatibility, and then in the Compatibility Mode section, check the box run this program in compatibility mode for: and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or an earlier version & click Apply & OK & now When you open VB4 it works! For some reason, mine has been set to Windows XP (Service Pack 3); even if I installed this on Windows 7...

Wow... no one at Microsoft support tech has been ready / not able to help me & VB4 is are not anywhere on the Microsoft Web site more... I should work for their support! (They were literally about to charge me for whole upgrade just to give me a technical support & be cool upgrade I'm talking hundreds and hundreds of dollars...)

I hope this helps!

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your Windows 7 and display rotated 270 degrees. Here is a solution from a third party site. Turn on your computer and wait for the Windows platform to load.
Right-click on the desktop with icons part less. On the shortcut menu that appears, click on "Properties". Another pop-up window containing various tabs will appear on your screen. Select the 'Settings' tab, and then locate the button marked "Advanced." Go to "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver" and then proceed to "graphics properties." Select 'rotation' and choose 'enable rotation '. Click on 'apply' first and then click on 'OK '.
This will bring you to the desktop. Hold down the ALT key (usually positioned to the right or to the left of the space bar and Ctrl key (found under the shift keys) and press the right arrow key.) This will flip your screen to the right by 90 degrees.
Hold the Alt key, the CTRL key, then press the down arrow key to turn the display upside down from 180 degrees.
Hold down ALT, CTRL key, and then press the left arrow key to move the screen to the left of 270 degrees.

    I hope this helps.

  • OCMSN.dll could not be loaded

I use windows XP.  After installing Firefox browser IE stopped working. Uninstalled IE such as advised by ISP Tech I tried to download and install IE several times again with no luck.  Another tech said to go to the control panel and Windows components and check Add IE.  Components Windows gives me the message-Setup library OSMSN.dll could not be loaded, or function entry Oc is not found. Contact your system administrator.  The specific error code is Ox7e.  Also anything to be opened in a Micro Word and Power Point reader does not open, told to go to the control panel and select where to open.

Is there a fix for this if I can use new IE?

    Thank you

    Thelma Hawk

I don't know what are all your other computer problems, but if you mean that you see a message like this:

    The Windows XP Setup program
Setup library Ocmsn.dll could not be loaded, or function OcEntry could not be found.
Contact your system administrator.  The specific error code is 0x7e.

    Clicking OK gets:

    The Windows XP Setup program
The application could not be initialized.

I would say that Microsoft committed Support Engineer 'expert' is just send you in addition to their hunting wild goose.

First of all, the file is not in the c:\windows\system32 folder.
Second of all, the file is not a registrable DLL.
I'm shocked that they indicated no sfc/scannow, but who will either replace the missing file.

I would just replace the file (that's why I know what looks like the error message), but maybe we'll learn something from these 'experts' then maybe you'll have some better luck with those of other ideas.

I created a Google Group, invited members, received their responses and published the list of members.  When I tried to send an e-mail to the group, I got a message that msoe.dll could not be initialized.  How to solve this?

Sorry, but the info was so 'goop gobbly' for me.  Y at - it somewhere that I can download the msoe.dll?

While you might be able to, two points...

    (1) not a safe idea.  Microsoft does not offer it more (they do not support OE6) and nowhere else - you take your chances.

    (2) most important - the file is not likely your problem.  Something else is probably causing this message.

You may need to remove (I suggest renaming it to RECORDS. OLD personally) RECORDS. DBX file.  If Folders.dbx is damaged, OE often stops displaying the files to the existing *.dbx files, and sometimes OE will simply refuse to start. Also a bloated Folders.dbx can OE run very slowly. These two problems can be repaired by closing OE and deleting Folders.dbx. Understand although you will lose the mail directory structure, all the discussion lists and all synchronization options and this message rules will probably have to be edited

There is another option where you could not lose the folder structure (will not be rebuilt) because you are going to import it from a BACKUP of everything what you do by renaming the whole store folder before you rebuild everything in OE - but I thought it would be more simple.

  • the itunes library could not be saved you have enough greenest access for this operation

I get the following message when I upload music when I am in itunes. the itunes library could not be saved. You have enough greenest access for this operation

    Hi WesleyJefferson,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: These messages occur if the permissions are incorrect on your designated music folder or a folder in your designated music folder. The permissions are settings that determine who can read, write, or execute a file or a folder on your computer. Each file and folder on your hard drive has an associated permission set.

Example: If the permissions are correct on your music folder, but incorrect on the U2 folder inside your music folder, you would be able to add other music to your iTunes library, but not this new U2 album.

To apply permissions to a file or folder, see the article mentioned below:

How to set, view, change, or remove special permissions for files and folders in Windows XP

Method 2: You can also read the article and check.

Difficulties to add music to iTunes or audio CD import library

Method 3: Try to uninstall iTunes and other apple system applications and reinstall iTunes again. See the apple Web site to download iTunes. Click on the link below.

After the clean boot used to resolve the problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start, run.

    (b) type msconfigand click OK.

    (c) the System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

    (d) click the general tab, click Normal startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.
