The Brazilian site of Lenovo is horrible, confusing and its not completely translated, there is no chat support, and I have to speak in English in the forum for support.

  • Qosmio X 770-Crash Dump when the games

Hope this is the right forum for this.

I am retired and have minimal knowledge of technology, although I've used them for many years.

In the 5-6 months, I get a crash dump on my laptop whenever I enter a game when the computer is turned off. I only played two games - WoW and Guild Wars 2.
Keep a single file is shown on the blue screen - nv1ddmkm.sys.

Whenever the discharge occurs I get the screen restart and I choose 'normal mode '.
I then have all the other problems as long as I do not turn off the computer.

I noticed that when this happens, the Nvidia graphic card not more appears in Device Manager and is no longer recognized by the computer (I tried a new Toshiba for Nvidia driver installation, and the installation stopped - saying my that no such system existed).

Also after one of these accidents, WoW put up a box suggesting that I should update my Intel HD Graphics driver.

When I do a "cold start" (machine is turned off for a period of) the Nvidia card appears in the Device Manager again and I can do a clean install of the driver.
I have the latest version of the driver provided by Toshiba (a date in 2011).

_This problem only occurs when the games. _
Y at - he at any time, including watching Youtubes or DVD, any problem.

When you play Wow I must have my graphics settings on "Fair" - the same that I used to use on my old desk. I bought the Qosmio, as it was marketed as a gaming machine.
I feel as if I made a really stupid decision to buy.

Can I get advice as to whether it is a software problem - and, if so, how I can fix it. or is it a hardware problem with my Nvidia card? I am inclined to believe that a card problem can be very expensive to fix, or not at all.

My rear cynicism it's ugly head that my warranty missed last December.

    > Keep a file is shown on the blue screen - nv1ddmkm.sys

This file belongs to the nVidia graphics card driver, and I think that the cause of the graphics card of this issue.

    > This problem occurs only when the games.

The problem could be the high temperature.
Constraints of the game and load the CPU and especially the GPU (graphics chip). The two parties to limit and creates a lot of heat. This is why I think that the high temperature can be the cause of your problem.

Never clean the grids and the cooling fans in the past?
From time to time it s a good idea to clean the fans because dust can affect the circulation of air and cooling performance. In this case I recommend to get rid of the dust using a jet of compressed air.
    It should be good enough.
If it wouldn't help you much, the device must be cleaned professionally.

  • Tecra M2: Can play a game of the graphics card?

It seems that play Flight Simulator could destroy the graphics card on the laptop! I never thought this would be possible. I gave a friend my old Tecra M2 (as a wedding gift) which he also uses to play FS9. A few years ago, he had to have the motherboard replaced (Fortunately it's still under warranty then) because it has become defective. This has happened while he was playing FS9. I never thought that at that time.

It seems like the same problem comes up again, but this time the laptop isn't under warranty anymore. Nothing has been changed on the video card to "accelerate" or "chip" or another - it is standard at the factory. The latest drivers are installed for the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32 M / 64 M and the portable computer has 1 GB of RAM (and a lot of space on the HARD disk).

At startup, the Toshiba logo has green vertical lines. The Windows logo also has the same symptoms, the vertical lines. I was able to boot in safe mode, a few times, then it started normally (I was onto a winner of thought), but now it seems just blue screen and reboot after Windows Logo (even if I didn't no reset in case of failure). After the reboot, I got a blue screen (BSOD not usual) with the next STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0 x 01010101, 0xF7911378, 0xF7911074).

Any ideas? I'd be really upset if I found out that a game could physically cause a motherboard to replace on a laptop! If this is true, can someone tell me how to prevent it in the future? I have a Tecra M3 and I don't want to happen to me either!

    Thank you!

    -Emm.

    Hi mate,

the fact is that I would NEVER play FS9 even on my machine which is a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM and a geforce 7800GS.
Flight Simulator 9 needs AS many system resources and in your case it s like you take 500 tons of steel and throw on a single donkey.

The M2 is a pure business machine and not scheduled to play these games like FS9 needing beasts of machines to run * correctly *. Maybe the older games are playable, but I think that it s right that FS9 could probably damaged your graphics unit (overheating).
You won´t move swap the motherboard and let your FS9 fingers when you hold an M2 or M3 or a set of non-game in your hands.

The man, who is ill, the poor M2 then FS9... :D

Clear from the statement to me: Yes, a game CAN probably damage a portable system, but not for sure! And an M2/M3 is not to play these games. Rather spent the money for a system with a Geforce 8600 Core2Dou or something similar.

    Welcome them

  • Qosmio X 500 - 11U restarts when games & cooling system problem message

    Hello

I have a Qosmio X 500 - 11U PQX33E, bought in the summer 2010. Since 2012 (1 month after the warranty ended) he started to do restarts without reason, but I gave much attention to it, as it happened rarely. However, after 1 year things are worse and I ended up having a cell phone game that I used only as a PC Web browser. From time to time, I blew the fans to clean... Finally, I decided to fix it.

I gave it to a technician, he cleaned, replace the dough thermal CPU - GPU and replaced one of the fans who did not work properly.

Still nothing has changed. I tested it again (by running windows experience rating), and it crashed as before.

I made the big decision to go back to factory settings and I made a clear installation of all components of the system (including the stuff of all the toshiba).

Restart again for the note windows. ... (the same thing happens when I run any high graphics games)

I have flashed the bios to v2.90

Restart again for the note windows. (the same thing happens when I run any high graphics games)

In addition to the above, because I did the clean install of the system, I started to get the message ' WARNING: a problem with the cooling probe happened... return it for service.

I can hear the fan is working but when I run the diagnostic tool for Toshiba, the CPU usage is at 50% and the fan to 0%, even in use high power (yes I changed both power settings)

Any help would be much appreciated, because I really feel VERY bad after paying 2500 EUROs for a gaming computer I can not operate for its intended use.

    Thanks in advance

However when I try to run all 3D graphics applications (and some flash feature facebook games) it blocks (auto-off)

The laptop turns off automatically in order to avoid the damage hardware parts... which can occur due to a higher internal temperature...

You mention that the fans do not work

(use of fan is at 0% because my fans are now connected to the USB ports

I suppose that the temperature rises and the laptop turns off because cooling fan use in 0%

To me, it looks like a typical hardware malfunction and from my point of few service technician must verify and fix it... here in the forum, we can only talk and discuss possible solutions but finally the hardware problems should be fixed by engineers of the service...

  • Satellite L855 - 10 p - stop suddenly, play 3D games

    Hello

When you try to play 3D games, after more or less playing time, often less than 10 minutes, my Satellite will suddenly stop. Subsequently, it cannot be started for some time.

This kind of symptom is usually due to overheating, a common problem with portable Satellite (and besides, it's probably the last Toshiba I buy because they can't seem to get that fixed).
The usual solution is to remove dust from the inside of the laptop, for example with a soft vacuum.

It is impossible to do correctly without opening (and voiding the warranty) because they do not have access to the fan and the heat sink, put can help from time to time.

On this model, however, the exhaust gas is block by a grid (part of the heatsink I guess, which is logical) and on consumption, the fan is blocked so he can't turn in the opposite direction, which means that it is almost impossible to s * ck dust. Result: almost impossible to remove the dust. Well played.

So normally I would send my laptop for 'repairs' (which opens just the thing to remove dust and maybe redo the thermal paste, but you can do that yourself of course), but in this case, I noticed it very quick stop.

I can leave it on a 2D game or old low-quality 3D games (supreme commander says mode low quality) for hours without problem, even in hot weather, but as soon as I try a newer version in the game (for example Resident Evil 6, even in low quality) it stop quickly and without feeling so hot.

So I was wondering if maybe that this time, it would be a problem with the driver/graphic card. Let's say something like an order than crash the graphics card.

I have an AMD Radeon HD 7670 M with the 8.932.5.3000 driver version (the only one available for this computer and Windows 7 64-bit on the Web from Toshiba site).

Is there a known problem that could cause the graphics card to plant or overheating more than expected with this model?

(If you're wondering why I don't write s * ck in full letter, it is because the filter of profanity on this forum don't think it's a word that can be used in a normal conversation.)

    > When you try to play 3D games, after more or less playing time, often less than 10 minutes, my Satellite will suddenly stop. Subsequently, it cannot be started for some time.

To me, it sounds like a GPU has worked at full capacity and produces a lot of heat, leading to high internal temperature.
To my eyes the air conditioner stops due to the high temperature.
The laptop supports a type of protective gear. The unit will stop automatically to prevent the equipment from damage.

Dust and debris could be one of the reasons why the parties cannot be cooled properly.
    > This kind of symptom is usually due to overheating, a common problem with portable Satellite
This kind of symptom happens to all laptop computers worldwide because of the airflow.

    > I can leave it on a 2D game or old low-quality 3D games (supreme commander says mode low quality) for hours without problem, even in hot weather, but as soon as I try a newer version in the game (for example Resident Evil 6, even in low quality) it stop quickly and without feeling so hot

Games running on the low quality not stress the GPU a lot and this led to the dissipation low and low temperature.

    > Is there a known problem that could cause the graphics card to plant or overheating more than expected with this model?

I don t think so more often, these problems can be solved by changing the settings in the windows power options (decreases the performance CPU/GPU, cooling method change) and, of course, in the game settings (details down, etc.)

  • Qosmio X 500 stop during the game - but only on the external power supply!

    Hello.

Since I updated my BIOS to 2.9 I had this HUGE problem. And now, I created a user here, in the hope of my colleagues advice owners of Toshiba.

Let me cut it, as it's enough for me confused.

I bought the computer in March 2010 - is still under warranty.
I updated the BIOS from 2.8 to 2.9. I always kept my computer up to date with the latest drivers Toshiba - and is still.
But now, after update BIOS, all of a sudden, my computer shuts down, rotates instantly, as if someone pulled the cord and there is no battery attached.
But it happens that whenever I start a GPU really requiring program/application. It is not happed when I use the computer for all the days of the things or watch movies etc.

I put it well 3DVantage and of course, it crashed.

    BUT!

If I pull the rope and let it run on battery - even if the performance that comes out is less - it does not crash, never, in any game that would break if I had the string attached.

I was in touch with Toshiba service in Scandinavia - I live here and they couldn't tell me what was the problem, but they were pretty sure that it was not related to the BIOS, because while I was talking to them, I installed 2.8, and it's the same thing.

It has been sprayed, treated and some more with compressed air, and if there is no dust left, it would be like concrete. I ran the game in windowed mode, while having Speedfan running, the temperature will never be greater than 65 degrees Celsius. So it isn't heat related.
I used 3DVantage to test the CPU and see if that too would break, once again nothing.

I think the long terms of workload. The GPU goes off when the workload exceeds a certain percentage/voltage/whatever and something in the BIOS which controls it, changed or left unchanged and there for is not skilled with the rest of the updates to the BIOS.
Or maybe the problem is not BIOS related? is it something else? I'm really confused and the fact that I can use it for simple tasks, only confuses me even more - so this is only a part of the graphics card which is damaged?

Even if it is under warranty, wait 10 days (if I'm really, really lucky, like place I bought it, is not exactly known for good service condition) is the last option.

This explanation is rather long, but I'm not not short versions, and if you feel like I left something, say so, and I'll do my best to provide you with information.

    Thanks in advance!
    Nikolaj.

When I order the windows event log, it shows some errors about ACPI: (translated by myself from Danish)

Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification is an open standard and defines independent interfaces for hardware discovery, configuration, power management and monitoring.

66 temperature is not too high so I n t think that automatic shutdown of the bottom are related to temperature.

I have your case, I recommend reinstalling the OS window once more; install the operating system preinstalled Toshiba using the recovery disk.
Then check the features of the laptop. I mean that you should not install any other software before checking the laptop. In many cases 3rd party software could lead to problems of different laptop then you should check the laptop using factory settings.

  • Qosmio X 870 overheating while game

    Hello

I have a qosmio that runs on 95-100 celzius GPU and 85-90 CPU temperatures while 1 day game.
Then I got shut downs overheating about 9 months later.

I'm going to the service and they clean and rebonding it, he has not stopped more but temperatures remained.

20 days later GPU is dead, they replaced, then 10 months later GPU died once again, I heard Burns inside the laptop.

They have developed a new once again, but after that when I play for 2 hours, screen off somethimes at least once, twice at this time.

I took the laptop to the service for the fourth time, a few days later they say that they have not yet diagnosed dysfunction.

But my biggest concern is that the temperatures are high all this time, I read on the forum of A.s.u.s that guy with that kind of temperatures obtained immediately replace, and the new book got 20 degrees low temp.

Laptop is around the age of 20 months, and my question is:
am I still entitled for replacement or they will just patch every few months so that the warranty expires:(parce qu'ils sont de rabotage pour réparer de nouveau.)

I need for video editing, this is why I bought it, and now for the 4th time my bussines is waiting for a week or two.

Sorry for the long post, im hoping for some response or post where I can request a replacement, thank you.

    > I never receive replacement or they will just patch until a few months before the expiration of the warranty because they plan to fix it again.

As far as I know Toshiba authorized service partner can only repair the laptop and you must make sure that the laptop will be fixed to your full satisfaction.

    > I took laptop to serve for the fourth time, a few days later they say that they have not yet diagnosed dysfunction. But my biggest concern is that the temperatures are high all the time.

From my experience, if the laptop will not automatically, closes the temperature level isn't too high. Usually in case of overheating, the laptop must turn off automatically to protect the internal parts of the damage.

  • Satellite L650D-11R. Need help with warranty

    Hi all

I have purchsed in March 2011 a Toshiba L650D-11R from Amazon.co.uk that I used for the odd bit of games/internet browsing.

In January 2012, but my Windows operating system failed during use & fails to reload. I have no recovery disk fail to achieve the recovery mode to HARD drive on the system itself that the screen remains black & won't go further.

After reading the warranty Toshiba it quotes + "Toshiba does not provide any warranty, express or implied, for any preinstalled software, its quality, performance, marketability or SUITABILITY has a specific use. '" Neither Toshiba ensures that the functions contained in the software will meet your requirements or that the operation of the software will be uninterrupted or error-free. » +

I would like to know if yes or no that covers Windows 7 I don't know if this is considered in the software or is included in the guarantee any himself.

Any answer would be most appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Hello

Sorry to hear that you have problems with your laptop. In any case for every situation, there are solution, isn't it?

In general and almost all laptop manufacturers, Toshiba offer portable computers with preinstalled operating system and saved on the HARD drive recovery image. In the past, they offered equipped laptops of recovery disk in the package. It is not longer the case.

This backup recovery disk must be created by the owner of the laptop and this drive can be used for the installation of the OS, if something goes wrong with the HARD drive or there is a problem with access to the recovery image stored on the HARD disk. S manuals described how to create this HARD drive. Toshiba also preinstalled reminder that informs the user of the laptop on the creation of recovery disks.

    Have you ever seen it?

Anyway, AFAIK warranty will not cover this, and if you want to use the original recovery disk to have factory settings again you must order it from Toshiba.

You can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Shutdown A200 satellite while playing games

I have a satellite A200, that is around the age of 6 months.
Yesterday while playing a game, it's just instantly shutdown.
He did a couple of times now. The upper left side is very hot as below. Thinking that it is an overheating problem?

Checked the CPU usage while playing and does not seem to be unusually high.
Is used on the desktop with appropriate around her space
Laptop of not old but works all day, but is stopped from one day to the next. Surely the heaksink would not be already clogged?
Runs with no battery, just on the sector to extend battery life when using at home.

Only happens while the game paying, also monitor is set to increase the size of the screen.
Still under warranty but don't really want to have taken stuff back because I moved to remote outback and am not near a large city, as well as if they test everything by running do not game, they'll probably just say it's very good.

Will try and blow up the heatsink without taking the case anyway to see if that helps. Any other ideas?

    Thank you

    I agree with Akuma.
It s certainly one overheating and cela occurs because the internal temperature is too high. All internal devices such as CPU, GPU, are running with a yield maximum all in game and produce high heat dissipation. This increases the temperature and leads to overheating.
I think your work cooling of modules with a maximum yield don t because they are blocked.
Please check if the dust and debris affect the cooling fans and if necessary use the jet of compressed air to clean these fans.

I think this should help to prevent the notebook from overheating more specific questions.

  • Satellite P100: BSOD nv4_disp infinite loop playing a game

    Hello

I hope you can see my details of my profiling system, but in case you can't, here are the basic details:

    Satellite P100-113; 2x2.0GHz; 2 GB of memory; XP Pro SP3. Go 7600 256 MB - factory core/mem speed 350 / 400 MHz - no overclocking.
Out of warranty: purchased as a plant-reclamation in 2006. No problem at all until this - great machine!

I tried for 2 weeks to resolve the formidable 'in nv4_disp infinite loop' blue screen of the problem of death, which occurs when playing company of Heroes Opposing Fronts (COHOF). Original COH has always run without any problem.

I think I tracked down what is happening. Using RivaTuner, I took a log of data GPU, both in the general use of Windows and by practicing a COHOF game. I had just downloaded a "fix" claimed this infinite loop problem; referenced in the nvidia forum.
I think it was the only reason that the game did not plant this time, so that I could look at the newspaper. But this has not yet resolved the problem.

What is clear, according to the journal of Riva, it's the GPU speeds are usually 0/0 on Windows. Then, every few minutes, he crawls up to something like 198/135, for only 10-20 seconds and then again. This, in my opinion, has always happened, because it is accompanied by a rapid acceleration of the fan and a "sigh" to air for a few seconds. The machine has always done since I bought it, and it is not a problem in normal conditions (i.e. not game) use.

But here'w what happened in the game. After playing about 30 minutes (I noted earlier), the game suddenly stuttered horribly, so I thought it might be breaking. FPS increased from typical of 30-40 something like 0.5 to 2 FPS. And this continued for another 15 minutes (I went to play, with gritted teeth, in order to obtain good log data).

Looking at the newspaper of Riva, what happened at that time was one of these speed GPU rampdowns: down 351/398 expected 198/198 - just for about 15 seconds, then go back to the top to 351/398. Given that the "infinite loop" error includes a description "device driver entered an infinite loop waiting for the material to answer", I am fairly certain that it is the cause of the infinite loop BSOD: If the GPU suddenly decides to run at reduced speed in half, under heavy load (COHOF has often been described as the ultimate stress-test system) , you expect this kind of error occurs. I suspect that this is the point to which I would have had a crash "infinite loop" - but perhaps the 'fix', I downloaded caught the ball and prevented the usual total crash.

Temperature: absolutely perfect. I use a Zalman cooler under the machine. Riva reports temperatures GPU 51 c (idle), maxing out at a constant C 66-68 without crampons (load, COHOF). So, my driver unless (I tried 84.4 - later, Toshiba or 91.33, 156.13, 164 something laptopvideo2go.com) is a misinterpretation of the temperature data and imagine that the card needs to be rested (because the driver thinks, it's hitting the ceiling of 115 HP.), is not an overheating problem.

The fact that go up and down this rise has always happen, even with the original drivers installed at the factory from Toshiba (the regular intermittent fan 'sighs') makes me think that this is part of Toshiba design for integration of the Go 7600 in this machine. Perhaps something of the power management, or to extend the life of the chip. (I have all the settings of power-mgmt software I can find the value "grass of the battery, give me performance", since I usually use the machine plugged).

Now, it of very well under Windows, does not cause problems. But he won't. The GPU is ramping down, without apparent reason, while COHOF is throwing a huge workload on it.

    Issues related to the:
    1. How can I disable this behavior ramp - at least temporarily to play COHOF? I've never heard of a GPU accelerates its speed goes up and down depending on the load, so I doubt it's problem of nVidia.
    2. can I get an updated driver for this machine? The most recent is 84.4.0. Of course, it is possible to download drivers from laptopvideo2go.com modded-, but I suspect that these pilots to leave out some specific Toshiba 'magical' that manages the specific details of this card in this machine. (p. ex. or SpeedFan and Riva can detect any fans in my system, which suggests that Toshiba took control of the fan "under the hood" somehow).
    3. where can I get an update BIOS/firmware for the Go 7600? You can find anything on the net, apart from that!

Looks like I need to take this with a hardcore of Toshiba tech (I don't know if Toshiba supports log on this forum); But if someone reads this and has a time "click - I know that this", please post some ideas as to what I can do.

    Hey Buddy

It seems that this Toshiba forum is only a user forum, and it seems there are only Toshiba users here and not technicians.

In any case if I understand you problem described in your long ad, the graphic issue appears only this specific game (company of Heroes Opposing Fronts).

In my opinion, the graphics driver is not fully compatible with this game or your game does not support the nVidia Driver
So it s not a problem with the laptops hardware, but compatibility issues between the two parties game<->graphics driver software

I think a graphics driver update (if available) might help.

Here are my responses regarding the points:

    (1) as I said above, I think that the graphics driver update might help to
    (2) according to my experience, all the latest drivers graphics (and other drivers) are published on the Toshiba driver website
    (3) you can find only a Toshiba BIOS on the Toshiba driver page. BIOS or firmware update graphic card is unknown to me and to be honest I don t think it would exist.

    See you soon

  • Error display driver while playing games on Satellite P100 - 387 PSPA3E

    Hello

I have a portable Satellite P - 100 387 PSPA3E (with Nvidia 7600 GO 256 MB) and any game I play, I get a Stop error - blue screen of death all the time and must restart.

Sometimes while I play 'Command & Conquere-Tiberium Wars' or 'Warcraft III' (which can run on ANY machine of low-end). Because the update of the BIOS and got the last support display driver Toshiba. Nothing. In addition, I ve tried ALL versions of Nvidia and LaptopVideo2go.com pilot with modded inf-s.

Don t know what to do, I post here before you contact Toshiba. I have a valid warranty on the computer. Running MediaCentar of XP that came with it.

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE 337-C 3.20 GHZ

with 8 GB of RAM, Samsung Syncmaster 24 "2494 monitor.  Graphic video card is an ATI Radeon HD 5450.

What kind of video card do you recommend to replace the ATI Radeon HD 5450 that I could use to do things like

run simulators flight, Battle games, latest graphics heavy games etc...?

I heard that the HD 5450 is only something like $40, so I think that this machine can do much better with better graphics

card.  Should I new food, too?

Thanks for any advice on this.

    -Entfred

    Hello

The HPE 337-C has a 300 Watt power supply.  The fastest video card without having to replace the power supply is the NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5, if you do not need DirectX 11.

Review the specifications of performance ATI and NVIDIA . Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

How to replace a power supply.

How to replace a video card.

If you want a faster card such as the NVIDIA GTX 460, then you need to replace the power supply.  About a block of POWER 500 watts should be plenty.

You need to open your PC and measure the physical dimensions of your diet.  Here is a list of the things to consider:

    1. Specifications
    2. Total power - important
    3. amperage 12 + v - important
    4. Modular - is not required, but I like the flexibility
    5. Warranty
    6. I7 and SLI ready

  • Equium A100-147: can not play games becauce slow DVD player

    Hello

I have a laptop Equium A100-147. I tried many games on my laptop which should conform to the specifications required for example battlefield 2, however, these games does not work and I didn't know why. I then realized that all the games I tried were all on 4 DVD-ROM drive demanding x, and the specifications I provided with my laptop did not specify what kind of DVD player, I had another super multi layer or something.

It is while I tried the games that were demanding CD-ROM which all worked fine, I then tried a game that was 2 x DVD ROM demanding that worked apart from a small problem with models of characters not displayed, so I took back defective. Then I tried a 1 x DVD-ROM game that worked perfectly.

Today, I decided to get my DVD specifications, where I found that my laptop should read 8 x DVD - ROM drives.
So my question is, is my defective DVD player for not playing more than 1 x DVD - ROM games? And can I contact Toshiba or my provider for repair or replacement or my problem would be something else?

    Thank you, Josh

    Hello

As far as I know the laptop was delivered with the drive UJ - 841S and the drive supports 8 x DVD-ROM.
Of course, there must be something wrong if the drive cannot read DVD-ROM media at full speed. The middle is not supported or the drive malfunctions

What you can do is search for the update of the firmware. Many laptops come with the same drive. See the categories of driver and, possibly, there is a new update of the firmware.

You can also try to remove the physical drive from the laptop and reboot the device without the drive. Then turn off the appliance, install the drive again and the boot upward.
The laptop must initialize the firmware again and maybe this will help

But it seems you notebook is not very old and the warranty is valid. If you need to contact the ASP in your country for more details and possibly for disc replacement

    Hello

The only option I see and that may be worth trying is to make sure that you are running the latest version of the bios ( F.82 Rev.A ) she mentions "fix a problem with the W, A & D keys - see the cva on the following link.

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp77001-77500/sp77359.CVA

You can check the version of the current bios of notebooks by holding down the fn key and pressing esc.

If you are running a previous revision, F.82 Rev.A can be found on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp77001-77500/sp77359.exe

If you are already using this bios, or it is not correct the problem, my best advice would be to contact HP about this if the machine is still under warranty - if necessary, you can check the status of your warranty here.

    Contact HP starting here.

    Kind regards

    DP - K
