Omen of HP 15-5000NA: incorrect notification of warranty

Hi all

I just bought my new harbinger of HP and he was installing today. I bought it via the HP program to renew and its supposed to include 1-year warranty. I just got notification of actually HP support assistant to tell me my warranty runs out on 20 February next year (see pic - part of the series I've hidden).

Obviously, this is not guaranteed for 12 months.

Any ideas on the support email address to contact to get this resolved?

I wanted to just inform you of that. My problem is now solved. I contacted HP support and after sending a few details of the transaction, they have updated the guarantee to match the date of purchase (rather than the date of manufacture).

The whole process takes about 15 minutes and was very easy.

    SanDisk dashboard software indicates that the SSD is O.K.

    Windows 10 updates and drivers are up to date, also I flashed the BIOS to the latest version

    Any ideas how to solve this annoying gel are welcome, I will try all of them.

    I installed the hp support assistant and this software updated my drivers for more later you mentioned in you post.

    I can't find how to rebuild my raid (which I don't have) in the Intel Rapid technology software, there are only a few options awailable in this software and none of them can be used to rebuild the raid.

    However, I managed to solve this problem with the activation of additional options for power plan settings for hard drive

    named "AHCI Link Power Management - HIPM/DIPM" registry and then, after that the options are visible in the settings of the power plan, set options for DIPM (HIPM is not taken in charge of my hard drive).

  • Memory size incorrect notification in Windows XP for ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M

    I have a problem that keeps buging me:

    The thing is that I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L20-181, with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 M graphics card, which, on the toshiba site is specified to support up to 128 MB. After that I tried to configure the size of the memory for the graphics card in the BIOS, to a precise value, Windows Xp is not displayed correctly this amount of memory. I think that the graphics card has another source of memory, DDR2 RAM memory, but I'm not sure.
    Initially, I had a 256 DDR2 dim. After configuring the Ati card for a value of 32 or 64 in Bios, entering into Win XP, it displays a value of 128 MB SGDDR.
    Then I bought another 256 dim (I have 2 x 256 ddr2 dims now), and an additional value of 128 appeared in the BIOS. When you now set the value 32, Win XP shows me 128 MB SGDDR, and when you set the value of 64 or 128 I get 256 MB SGDDR in Win XP (which is impossible! because the ATI Board is supposed to support only up to 128 MB). This problem can also be caused by the driver. I installed the drivers from the CD of Toshiba, and I can't find another driver to work for her.     As far as I know you can change the size of the UMA (default) 32 MB maximum. 128 MB.
    This value, which you can change in the BIOS. I put t know where look you good value, but you should start to DirectX. Command: dxdiag.

    Condition that you do not damage anything changing the hard disk drive (128 GB SSD m2), it is unlikely that you will be cancelled the guarantee. If damage you what whether, while the change of the drive, you will be cancelled the guarantee. You may also be required to return the original disc of har to the computer before receiving warranty service.

    I have a new laptop HP OMEN - 15-5000na that we had to upgrade the operating system on 8.1 to 8.1 Pro (so we can use it with our domain name), I searched on the HP site and there are no drivers provided?

    Welcome to the HP support forum.  Regarding the drivers there are all listed on the HP website.  The drivers are listed according to the product and only drivers that we support are listed on the support Web site. Here is the link to the drivers for your laptop model.

    Laptop HP OMEN - 15-5000na drivers

    Some of the major changes between the Windows 8.1 and 8.1Pro are:

    (1) a system running Pro can join to a domain.

    (2) pro comes with Bitlocker allows to encrypt your disks

    (3) on a system running Pro, you can the remote desktop on this computer.

    These drivers are the same for Windows 8.1 and 8.1 pro for most, unless there is a custom configuration.   So for your laptop, as long as it has not customized somehow provided for Windows 8.1 drivers will work for works for Windows Pro 8.1.  Here is a link that may be useful as well.

    I never had this problem before, whenever I clicked on the "Mail" icon I was taken directly in my mailbox.  It just started this week.

    I use iMac - so I installed the latest version of Live and I still have this problem

    When I enter my details I am taken to the "account overview" and not my mailbox.

  • Omen 15-5000na: boot loop Hp omen after updating Windows 10

    When I turn on the pc it turns on to the Hp loading screen which is normal for about 5-10 seconds and then quickly restarts and does the same thing over and over again! Please help me

    OK so its recovered system and laptop works all fine again but I seem to lack control of harbinger of hp for my extra key, the lights and the fan activation etc and ive tried to download the hp system event utility, but once installed there is still no control of omen? could you help me please

  • Equium A60 - 181 Win XP: card incorrect RLAN - icon notification taskbar

    Ive took my Equium A60-181 for quite a while now and its been fairly reliable, sound always connected via WiFi to my home network.

    Very recently, however, the icon in the tray system for network connectivity was incorrect. He said always I am not connected to the network... but I am, because the internet works and I can still access the network drive that is located on another computer on the network and network printers.

    Why is the system status bar tells me that I am not connected to the network when I am?

    I presume that you have assigned the LAN TCP/IP address and gateway manually parameters and these parameters are not set to automatic. Am I wrong?

    The same message appeared to me. I connected my laptop to the other PC and changed the TCP/IP address settings.
    It was the reason of this message in the taskbar.

    All simply set it to auto again and you will get rid of this annoying message.

    I have a windows agent who incorrectly reports the space on a server.  It is only on one of the disks.  Others are reporting correctly.  Someone has seen this before.

    Agree with John, the table I see in Foglight seems correct, for some strange reason, the label says 100% used, that doesn't sound right.

    Can you please try the new windows agent which is part of the cartridge of the infrastructure to see if she reports the same information?

    The recent infrastructure cartridge is the recommended way to go and can also do remote monitoring.

    Warranty card shows the replacement of the motherboard.

    After replacement, not stuck to 0.80 GHz CPU more.

    I send text messages with the Messages app on my iPhone.  I've never had a problem until recently.

    Recently, all of my text messages are marked by a red error message "not delivered".  But the beneficiary is in fact receive these messages.

    I want a solution to this problem (if you have one).

    Looks like you are having some incorrect Messages notifications appear on your sent messages. Not too sure if recent changes have something to do with it, but I would check your message settings to check everything is in order, it. You can also take a look at the link below. Even if your messages are sent, you can always follow the steps then the message "not delivered" can be resolved. You can also try a simple reboot of your device.

    Mac have no GPS radios in them. Then how a Mac running OS X to determine its location? In other words, it cannot on its own. OS X uses to place your WiFi connection to sweep all other routers in the area to try to bring your location. You never have a quite exact location, and it will really change from time to time. As long as you understand it, you can know that your approximate location is sufficient for most applications that rely on location information.

    Maybe its your gps Board, may be a hardware problem, I would try something like: connection to another device and check the location, if its ok, we know its your device. If this isn't maybe your Apple ID account (I don't think that it can so be it)

  • Omen: Expiry warning

    I bought a new HP omen about a month ago.  Soon as I started using it, a message began to burst upward (screenshot below), informing me that my warranty was due to expire on May 15, 2016.  I had been told at Best Buy that the notebook had a standard one year warranty, which means that it should expire in September 2016, not may.

    Am I misinformed; an omen of HP does not come with one year manufacturer's warranty?  Or is the information in this incorrect dialog box, and if this is the case, how can I solve this?

    I recommend you to contact HP support and asking them to update your warranty start date. They may request proof of purchase, but should be able to update your warranty date.
