ONBOARD VIDEO INTEL-SPRINGDALE-G & WIN 7

Hi all

I'm having a problem of location of drivers for the video O.E.M. aboard my Dell DIMENSION B110,

I recently installed windows 7 and clearly does not support the video on my computer.

does anyone know what driver to another video card may be compatible, and also works on windows 7?

any help would be appreciated.

Hi 2dellnback,

Windows 7 compatible drivers are not available for your system. You try to install the Windows XP compatibility mode driver which may work:

  • Click on the link: http://dell.to/YZJAUM
  • Click on 'Download File '.
  • Select 'Download single file' and click 'continue '.
  • Click "Save" and save the driver to the desktop.
  • Right click on the driver installation file, then select Properties-> Compatibility tab.
  • Select Windows 7 from the following image list.

  • Click apply-> OK
  • Right-click on the file and select run as administrator to install.
  • Restart the system after installation is complete.
Please answer for any clarification.

    Hello

Be careful with the latest AMD graphics cards as they do not work on your PC.  Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

I usually like to suggest older NVIDIA cards with a few exceptions, as they should have been disclosed to provide better compatibility with older PCs.  However, the old NVIDIA cards support two monitors. Some of the old AMD cards have compatibility issues in some of the HP PC.

The driver for Windows XP Home edition Professional and family are absolutely identical. All the drivers you can find on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp, you can use but please install them in the correct order.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

Good news - you can install Windows 7 Pro.

-If you have a Windows 8/8.1 Pro license, you are allowed to downgrade and use Win 7 Pro (if the license is not HP OEM, but full product FPP or Preinstalled)

Otherwise, if it is HP OEM lic for Windows 8, you will have a separate ICA for Windows 7, but technically Windows 7 can be installed and is supported on this computer.

  • Dimension 3000 to Windows 7. Need driver onboard video

I've just updated my Dell Dimension 3000 desktop computer to Windows 7. After installation, window Device Manager indicates that the video controller device needs the driver upgrade. I tried to download the driver from the Dell support Web site, but Windows does not recognize it. Someone there has the same problem? Dell just introduced any driver that works with Windows 7?
    Thank you

You don't need a new video card, I just did after a Win7 update and it worked fine with the native video.  I can now go up to 1920 x 1200.

    The process of

    1. Download the driver located here. It's the Intel 82865 G Graphics Controller driver.
    2. When prompted, save the file to C:\dell\drivers\R106458.
    3. If you try to run the setup.exe file, you will receive an error message. It's okay (for now).
    4. Find the setup.exe file in the C:\dell\drivers\R106458 folder.
    5. Right-click on this file and select "Properties".
    6. Click on the "compatibility" tab and change the settings for "XP" (service pack 3)
    7. Now, go back to the file setup.exe in the C:\dell\drivers\R106458 folder and configuration file should work normally.
    8. When you are prompted, restart your computer.
    9. Go at the start > Control Panel > appearance and personalization > adjust the resolution of the screen.

You should now be able to adjust the resolution of your screen freely. This technique, although that not tested, could also run on older versions of Dell Dimension who encounter the same problem. I hope this helps someone else out there.

Accessories for this guy, Dave Panfili, is info on his page, I just found on the net.  FYI, I also changed the properties to "run as administrator" just to be safe.

    • Question No. 1 is w bad I really need a dedicated video card or is the HD2000 enough for what I want to do? Of course faster = better, but how much faster than it will be for my money, that is to say for the money.

    • And Question 2 would be... If so, which card? I really want to spend more than I need, but I don't want to go cheap and end up with a solution that is not much better than what I.

I'm especially confused with Mercury Playback, AfterEffects, SpeedGrade, and what is really necessary. In looking at this page, they are really pushing Quadro GPUS and Quadro SDI Output cards. But on the page 'officially supported', it lists the GTX GeForce, Quadro and Quadro FX cards.

What the devil? Can someone help me to wade into this soup to the alphabet of the cards, and what supports it that?

Let's say that I went with the GTX 570... is 1 GB enough ($300 for the EVGA version) or 2 GB ($340) can I? The 570 would be good enough?

Or I have to go to the GTX 580? $430 for the 1.5 GB and $480 for the 3GB, it is considerably more money that the GTX570 then it better be significantly better than the GTX570.

Or there is the the Quadro 2000 or 2000 d for about $400. It seems to be between 570 and 580 price wise, but it is a different line. Also, cards seems to only be done by PNY... what's up with that?

I can look at technical and marketing hype until I'm blue in the face, but it is not help me decide what I really need - and how well I can go

    Hello

I just got a new 660 Insipron and wasn't able to set up two monitors with the integrated video card. I have connected a monitor via the VGA to VGA-in output and the other by the HDMI to DVI-in via a converter. I can get video with output VGA or HDMI-out single, but not both. Is it because that the integrated video card do support a monitor at the same time? Thank you.

    Hi Arborglen,

    Welcome to the Dell Community.

I understand that you are however technically it is not possible to set up two monitors with the integrated video card. If you want to configure dual monitor with the computer, and then you add a graphics card with support dual monitor to get the functionality.

Answer please if you have any questions.
