Dear all,
I struggled with this problem for 3 days. I can't connect to windows server 2008 R2 because I accidentally change the active partition of the system partition to another partition whose size is very small (only about 1 GB). When I try to watch through the back, the sequence is all wrong. The previous system partition was becode D c. The other partition which is becoming C f.
I tried to use startrep to fix this, but the problem remains the same.
I also try to use bcdedit /? bootsequence, but because I don't know how to see the partition guid, I can't change the bootsequence.
Can anyone help to open a windows session? Your help is appreciated production. I need it as soon as possible...

the imprint of a T420s not to open the windows session
Hello
I have a problem with the imprint of a T420s (4170 RU5).the passage of the finger on the sensor turns on the laptop, accepts the BIOS password and hard drive, but does not open the windows session.
ThinkPad of fingerprint software: 5.9.4.6882
-Registered two fingers
-Checked windows bootin settings / authentication
all the boxes are checked except:
-Require the connection for non-admin users mark
and
-Always display the security optionsThanks in advance for your help
You log on to a domain? If so, you will need open settings of biometrics ('bio' type in the Start Menu and select 'Edit biometric setting') and check the box "allow users to log an area using their fingerprints. Save the changes. It is somehow changed in 5.9.4.

Satellite 1900-303: open a Windows session
I have some dfficulties in logging in windows XP once the computer has booted. Once the connection is displayed I select my user Id, type my password, windows begin to access my account and then open a session immediately to me off back to the page, log in. It doesn't let me access any part of windows. Can anyone help - urgent?
Hi John,.
It is possible that your settings have been corrupted somehow so that Windows can't log properly. This can occur if the laptop is turned off during the disconnection of the process (the point where Windows says that it is to save your settings).
Try to start in 'SAFE' mode and you will find a story titled 'Administrator' that allows you to access your laptop and check your own username or even remove yourself put in place by a new. Note that this id 'Administrator' does not have a password, unless you (or someone else) already has a.

I can't open a windows session that mouse and the keyboard of the laptop are not working
I had problems after trying to remove my hard drive security software, so I tried to run the Microsoft System Restore. It has not then I ran then ran the program to repair the disk supplied by HP with the notebook.
The result is that the laptop seems to start ok but when the log on window appears that I can't do as the full implementation of the mouse or the keyboard. The laptop is under XP SP3, but after the repair process, it now seems to be Build 2600 xpsp SP"rtm 040803 - 2158 Service pack 2.
The laptop is a HP Pavilion dv4232EA
I can solve this problem of the mouse and keyboard without reformatting and loading of software?
If not, is there a way to recover some data from HDD files before reformatting?
nvsm1
Hey nvsm1,
I'm sorry that you run into this problem starting. Absolutely, there is a way to get hold of these data. Better yet, it's free too! You can use a LiveCD. The link below has all the information you need on creating a LiveCD and how to use it to recover your data. That case is due to infection by the virus, but it can be used in all cases where the Windows operating system has become corrupted and does not start (drops physical, boot manager or viral infections is damaged).
Recovering data using a Knoppix LiveCD
Because the repairs go well, the best next step would be a total reformat Windows, unfortunately. You pourriez give repair one more try, but I think it will finally take a reformat. I would recover the data first before trying an alternative remedy.
Please let me know if you have other issues with Knoppix or whatever it is. Let me know the results when you get a chance

vCenter 5.5
Suddenly, this strange thing happens:
When I open the web client and I try to TYPE MANUELLEMENT my credentials, it denies my access
but, if I CHECK the box 'Use Windows session auth' and press Login - it works.
None of you have any idea why? Thank you
problem solved:
When I tried to connect the VC itself, it gave me error of credentials. I realized that even ONCE, there is a problem between VMWare and Windows 2012...
my CV is on a victory of 2012, or ethernet, the controllers were not always resolved byt 5.5 ESX version and so on...
After the reboot, everything is back to normal.

Firefox opens the last session and tabs regardless of settings.
For the last month or two, I had this problem as well as others. Kept getting a popup to set my search engine, I did several times without success. This question went. Tab question remains.
No matter what setting I use open the previous session. I have Tab Mix Plus 0.4.1.8 so I've disabled that and checked the settings in FF to open to my Home Page. No good, don't always open the previous session.
This was not a problem with Tab Mix Plus over the years that I used it. Exactly, I removed it from the Add - ons. Options of FF and together to start with the Home Page and restarted FF but always opens the previous session.
Including a snapshot of the modules enabled.
What is the cause?

Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file will be present if you or a other software created this file and normally will not present. You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: 'Open with'; do not double-click).
The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session. You can remove the user.js file if you do not create this file yourself.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
Windows hides certain default file extensions.
Among them .html and .txt, so you can see only a user file name without .ini and .js file extension.
You can check the type of file (file extension) in the properties of the file via the context menu in Windows Explorer. -
[Solved] Firefox open multiple windows from opening
EDIT: It was this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1081135
Upgrade to 36.0a1 solves the problemWhat I have is a facility of evening (35.0a1) for the most part by default
With e10s activated and "when starts every night" value "show my windows and tabs from last time".Initially, it was very good, early every night he would open only 1 window
Then after a session where I had another open window where I closed the "main" window every night before it began to happen.
The next time I opened every night, it would open my previous session and another with the same tabs (so basically I have 2 windows with the same tabs). Then the closure of the single desk, surf the net and then end the session.
Next time, I opened every night, then open the 2 windows since the last time and creates another (all have the same tabs). This continues until I restart the system. After the reboot, it would come back 2 windows and so on.
And the behaviour continues even after uninstalling all night, even removing the sessionstore.js or the entire profile folder. I even tried to disable e10s nothing helps. This has not happened before, I always had that it the value "show my windows and tabs from last time.
I'll take a look. Thank you!

Cannot open multiple windows of firefox
The problem is that I can't open multiple windows of firefox to 1 times. He repeated to me that firefox is running or it turns right on the 2nd time support us firefox icon every time that I do this. Can you please come up with a solution. Yes, we can open several tabs, but cannot get more than 1 session running at the same time.
Is there any solution for this?Hello
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.
(If you use it, switch to the default theme).
- Under Windows, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac, you can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key option key when starting Firefox.
- Under Linux, you can open Firefox 4.0 + with leaving Firefox then go to your Terminal and running Safe Mode: firefox-safe-mode (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
- Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.
Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.
Thank you.

After the 19 FF update, whenever I open a new session of FF, it restores all previous session, I had used last. I already checked to make sure that the setting "when Firefox starts: show my home page" is selected. How can I fix it?

At the opening of my hotmail, firefox opens a new session instead a new tab.
I have MSN as my homepage. When I open hotmail in the past, he would open a new tab just below the toolbar - (you have only an open session). Now, when I go to open hotmail, it opens a new session instead of opening a new tab. Before, I'd have tabs as: MSN, Webcam live hotmail, Google, etc. It is obvious that I called a command to do this and now I do not know how to reverse.
This has happened
Each time Firefox opened
Is a week ago
I'm having the same problem. Hotmail will open in a new window, not in a new tab. How to change that?

The local policy of this system does not open an interactive session
I can't log on by using windows xp. (Not remotely). Error Msg: "the local policy of this system you cannot open an interactive session. But I can't enter using administrator. Only local users can not enter. Can someone help me?
This problem may occur if the policy 'Deny local logons' is set on your computer.
Go to local security policy.
Go to security settings
Local strategies
User right assignmentFind the refusal to logon locally. Remove users who are unable to connect.
However, do not add Everyone group as then nobody would be able to log on locally.
You will need to sign out and then sign back in before it takes effect.Let us know if that helps.

When I try to run programs, you'll see the 'Open with' window with IE the only choice.
It happened with my Norton Security. When I tried to open the window popped up. I chatted with their helpdesk and when they had to start a program, so they can open a session, the appeared window. They even try to determined the problem myself. When I tried to run the program the sent me, pops up the window.
I'd be inclined to make the Norton Support to fix it for you!
After all, it is their program. You could do a system restore, BUT it will probably cause Norton to play up!
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Opened the previous session.
InDesign CS6
When I open the new document, always open to the top of the last work first.
Why InDesign opens the last session, all the time, and how to fix it?
The lock file is not the problem. The problem is that not you close the windows document before leaving InDesign and your OS X system prefs are set to restore the windows of the previous session.
