  Check, if pictures can access the original files of your pictures, or if the originals are missing.

  You can test to try to edit a photo or trying to export it with "file > export > export original file..."

  Photos can be edited or exported?

  Shooting Raw or JPEG?  Where your photo library is stored? On an external disk or in your pictures folder?

  Hi - I am trying to open a Premiere Pro file I was working on yesterday and am getting the error message "this project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No preview of the sequence is preset file or codec might be associated with this type of sequence... "I also tried to open the file where I had worked the day before and made no changes to, that is the source for the file modified yesterday, and it gives the same error message. Help, please. I'm on the next-to-last version of Premiere Pro, I don't have a day in the past two weeks, but I am currently in the previous version. Windows 8.1, 16 GB ram, i7 3.4GHz. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  Thanks for the link, John T., but it's not having the latest version of office installed CC. As I'm in the middle of a project, I have not yet put to update to the latest version of CAPRINE contagious pleuropneumonia, nor any of the other new versions. Apparently, the new version of Office CC is required for authentication. Could someone suggest to people from Adobe which is perhaps a more telling error message: "You must update your desktop creative cloud app."?  Thanks for the help.

  Hello!  I just create a movie using Windows Movie Maker (HP Pavilion dv6000/Windows Vista Home Premium).  During the PREVIEW, the first part of the video of my film sometimes will not play (view) while the audio continues. Sometimes he will play (view).  All clips are saved in the right place, the file formats are correct, and everything else that I think is done correctly.  In addition, after the publication of the video, he did the same thing; some parts of the beginning is not playing (see) only the audio.  I believe that this can have started happening after a few times when an error message pops up saying something like "Video player has stopped responding, but has revived with success...» "or something like that.

  Now, I tried a few things to try to fix the problem.  I noticed that if I take the transitions and effects on the clips then they play but every time. I don't know why this happens only at the beginning of the movie and not all of the film since I also have clips with transitions and effects in the end.  Help!  This is my first time using this program/do a movie (and it's really good if I must say for me... he can win an Oscar! * smile *), but I wonder if I did something by mistake at the origin of this problem...

• Firefox does not open PDF in preview as it is defined in the preferences

  Preferences > Applications > Content Type: Portable Document Format (PDF)... Action: Use Preview (by default) or Action: Preview in Firefox or Action: always ask

• iBooks 1.5 (El Cap 10.11.4) only opens PDF in preview.

  In all previous versions of iBooks, it honored the system setting for which application to use to open a PDF file. On my system, this is Adobe Acrobat. iBooks 1.5 does not honor this setting one system always open a PDF file in preview.

  You can try to select a pdf file in the finder. CTRL + click to see the menu and the information on the file. You should see the area of comments 'open with '.  Overview is probably designated as the default application to open this file type. Choose from the menu below what application you want to use to open the file. Once you have selected Adobe Acrobat, click on 'change '. This should then associate all your PDFs with this app.

• Safari won't open PDFs in preview

  After viewing a pdf document in Safari, I would like to open in preview. Usually I do flying over the lower third of the screen until the dark bar with four icons (perform a zoom, zoom, open in preview, download), and then by clicking on the icon "open in an excerpt.   I found several useful programs and procedures to change items of the context menu in Windows Explorer, including a very useful program which adds and organizes the functions called File Menu Tools from Lopesoft of Windows XP/Vista/7. I still need to find a comprehensive solution, but in this post, I ask about a specific problem. By using the default program control panel in Windows, we can adjust what program responds when the choice open is select in the context menu, within limits. I would attribute different programs to Edit choices and preview on this same context menu. There's an example for me. PNG files. From Adobe Fireworks saves files in particular. PNG format, but most of the other programs don't, I'd like to be able to right click on a such file and select Preview (preferably set as default) to open it in the photo gallery Windows for a quick consultation and limited editions. Change to open in Fireworks capable Fireworks files; Open to open it in Photoshop to fundamentally change. Any ideas?

• Lightroom CC hangs during preview generation

  I am running the latest version of Lightroom on OS X costs system yosemite. IMac 2009 primo with 8 GB, newly installed SSD drive. The system works only Lightroom not other applications.

  The catalog is on the internal SSD, 45000 pictures flash drive + is a new disk external usb 3.0 (but only connected to a usb 2.0 port, since there is no usb port 3 on my imac)

  I am trying to build extracts from the catalog. Have tried 1:1 previews smart and regular surveys.

  Lightroom crashes during the process.

  Can someone help me with notes of what could be the problem?

  The system is too slow? Make Lightroom to use less energy during construction?

  What do you exactly by LR breaks down?

  Normally, LR relies previews when images are imported and create previews on the fly once previews of current import have been laid after a given time period.

  I suggest that you try to select only a few images, 100-1000, at a time and then try to build the previews. Or simply forget overview building and leave the LR to do on the fly when you view an image or group of images.

  Your iMac is now 7 years old and more. Did you clean all the dust when you installed the SSD? Maybe it's time for a new computer.

• Active AutoSave during preview

  Automatic backup is able to activate during an overview of the cache. If caching for the treatment of the preview takes significant resources and the project is a large, the PC tries to do both at the same time and it can slow everything down to a snail pace. You can't stop the auto save once it started and accordingly the transformation of the cache is then virtually at a standstill. Automatic backup starts preview crosswise and can really slow you down. There must be a way to prevent the AutoSave to activate during a preview?

  It does not exist. The AE team has improved the auto-save lately. I was in a conversation with them about this feature and have asked the behaviour to be changed. You can ask too: feature request/Bug Report Form

  Am I right to assume that you are referring to the .psd files when you say Photoshop images? Other types of file .jpg or .png as usually automatically open with preview.

  If this is the case, it sounds like a parameter has been changed on your Mac. Try this: right-click on the icon for your file and select information.

  

  In the section titled Open with, make sure that Photoshop is the default program. After you select the Photoshop, click all change... This will cause all files with the extension to open with the default Photoshop .psd.

  * Note that it is a function of specific extension if the files you are editing are .jpg for example, all .jpg files with open by default with Photoshop.

  

  If you're still having problems, I'd recommend asking around on a Mac Help forum, since it is most likely a problem with your system, no Photoshop.
