  A deadlock occurred if two different sessions lock resources. Each session can wait the other session ends.

  I suppose that you set up a trigger and use the 'autonomous transaction' wrongly to a commit. This function creates a new session. Now you have two (or more) session that could create deadlock. Committing inside a trigger from the table is ALWAYS bad (with some exceptions).

  Solution: remove the pragma of your relaxation. Then the other problems you get with it.

  RMAN backup is not compatible and easy to follow on-line transactions. If it's something any purpose of migration suggest taking COLD backup.
  If it's no way suggested, then after your entire + cumulative backups, however, that data will be available in archives

  It is a very common problem when users become familiar with a new laptop. Either your palm/wrist/cuff/bracelet is touching the touchpad as you type or the touch pad sensitivity is set too high and reacts to strong strikes.
  • Someone to watch you while you type to see if you accidentally touch touchpad of the notebook.
  • Go to the control panel mouse configuration and reduce the sensitivity of the touchpad.
  • Make sure you use the latest version of the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop for the touchpad and update if a new becomes available.
  • Disable the touchpad entirely in favor of a wireless laptop mouse.
  As noted previously, this is a very common problem and users are usually completely unaware they do even when it is pointed out to them.

  This lock will be automatically released. If you encounter a lot of blocking issues, you can increase the INITRANS of this parameter. We also had a blocking problem on a production database, we found was due to a trigger. So, you can also check the triggers.

• QML pauses while you wait thread.

  I have a connection that the screen when you press the "CONNECT" button, I want the buttons disappear and to display a progress bar.

  My code when you press LOGIN:

  Set the visible property of the button to false and progress bar to true visibility.

  Create a thread and connect to my web service and get the answer.

  Wait thread ends with pthread_join()

  Handle the response and either make visible the new button or go to another part of the application.

  The problem is the button do not disappear or the progress bar appears. They only AFTER the pthread_join().

  Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? I just want to prevent the user from spamming the "connect" button while he checks the connection information.

  Updates to the user interface will not happen because you have blocked the UI with pthread_join() thread.

  When the user presses the button "Take a picture", I grey out and start my threads of work (hidden inside the camera_take_photo() implementation).   When one of my sons indicates completion, I emit a SIGNAL which is intercepted by a SLOT function in my application that makes the visible button again.

  I suggest that your button handler marks itself invisible or disabled, creates a thread and not to join this thread.

  Instead, when that thread terminates, it should send a SIGNAL.  While your application has a SLOT Manager related to this signal, which makes the visible button again and joins in your thread.

  In short... SIGNALS and SLOTS is your solution.

  It came pre-loaded on my Fujitsu Lifebook. I had heard talk were many complaints about Vista and I wanted to stay with XP or Windows 7.  Each manufacturer of the laptop has been unfortunately Vista preinstallation.

  You can get in trouble with your mouse device drivers, firmware and/or software.  This may be due to a Microsoft Update or any number of things (and could have happened to these two machines, if you did the same thing in both cases).  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get for your mouse at the very least and I consider the keyboard as well and make sure they are compatible with your device, and your version of Vista) and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem) leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/.   Also, your mouse may have the functionaality to change the font sizes and jump from one end of the screen to another by doing some things.  Read the user manual and/or research through start / Control Panel / mouse to see if this is the case and if so, it may be able to be disabled.  The problem with some of these "features are that if you don't know about them they can cause difficulties when they activate for apparently no cause when you actually not what caused the feature must be enabled." It took me a while to realize the CTRL-0 would change my IE screen at 100% size and I first thought there was something wrong until I discovered the problem by chance.  I say that, because the odds of two computers with the same exact defect are astronomical - it looks more like a problem as described above or a certain type of function you are unaware of (perhaps in combination with a keyboard input that is why I suggested that you update those as well).

  I hope this helps.  If not, I am sorry to say that your best option would be to go back again to see if they can reproduce the problem (you use your way computer in case it is something you do) and either repair or replace again (or change to another computer entirely).

  I just bought a Satellite L305D-S5904 for my mother.
  It came with Windows Vista Home Premium.

  I noticed that a tiny scroll bar appears in the location of the cursor sometimes.
  It makes navigation quite a pain.

  Can you turn this feature off?
  To clarify, when you use the touchpad, moving the slider, a tiny "scrollbar" sometimes appears at the point of "arrow" cursor.
