ORA-03135 not in alertlog?

Oracle Version: 10.2.0.4
OS: RedHat 5.5

Hi all

recently, we had a problem with a delete statement, which was triggered by a JBoss server. This statement has not finished, so I started it follow-up because I couldn't find any ora - alerts log. But curiously, I found an ora-03135 in the trace. I was wondering why this error was not in the alerts log. Y at - he of known bugs or is it the behaivior WAITED? I couldn't find anything on MOS

BTW, I have another question about the trace file. After the error in the trace file, I see a lot of:

WAITING #1: nam = 'db file sequential read' ela = file No. 13 = 5 block #= blocks 1341871 = 1 obj #=-1 tim = 1281712953742918

Is it correct to say that it is the price drop? That means obj #=-1. We also have lines with obj #= 0.

Thanks in advance

Hello

in your case, your session is still alive, but lost the contact to the application. This looks like a firewall. As your server process is still alive, he cancels all your changes (different case, if your server process dies). So, you should see the cancellation directly after the error.

You will see not ora-03135 in your log file alert, since it is an error to the user. See the link above.

    Got clues as to where I should be looking for the trouble, please?

    Concerning

    JRH

    Thought I better update the forum on this one.

    This is a bug confirmed, although the bug report is not published.

    There are cases where the optimizer calls kkpap do partition

    pruning in the compilation. Sometimes to partition pruning is done in

    subqueries running against the table. If the bind variables values

    required to operate these subqueries, so we cannot do the pruning to

    compile time.

    The fix for the bug 14458214 fixed this problem in the case where the

    subquery was used to carve at the partition level. However, it is

    possible that use us another method at the level of the partition, and then use

    pruning of subquery subpartition level; this case was not

    addressed by the fix for 14458214.

    The mentioned bug has a patch available in 11.2.0.4 and don't occur in 12 c. For some reason, I'm also made bug 17258090, but I see no content in this bug report. :-(

    Possible solutions in 11.2.0.3 is to make a alter session set "_subquery_pruning_enabled" = false; ... but since X$ KSPPI lists _subquery_pruning_enabled as a hidden parameter, I guess you can also set it instance globally, although obviously the consequences for other queries would at this time must be evaluated very carefully.

    You must use to_date() with a suitable mask date or a date - literal example

  • OracleException "ORA-01008: not all variables ' what SQL text contains both '-'and':'

    We have stumbled into what seems to be a similar bug as @user4111944 and Alex Keh - Product Manager-Oracle in ManagedDataAccess - bug in the drive when you use '-'and':' SQL text .

    We use Oracle.ManagedDataAccess v. 12.1.2400 (last NuGet package) and get an OracleException with the message

    ORA-01008: not all variables

    When we try to run the following code:

    var l_connectionString = "a connection string.

    var l_commandText = "UPDATE table_test SET col_description = '-test', col_time =: param WHERE col_id = 42 ';

    using (IDbConnection l_connection = new Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client.OracleConnection(l_connectionString))

    {

    l_connection. Open();

    var l_command is l_connection. CreateCommand();

    l_command.CommandText = l_commandText;

    var l_parameter is l_command. CreateParameter();

    l_parameter. ParameterName = "param";

    l_parameter. Value = DateTime.Now;

    l_command. Parameters.Add (l_parameter);

    l_command. ExecuteNonQuery());

    }

    The code runs perfectly if the omission of the '-' OR the side of a parameter value assignment (i.e. omitting ', col_time =: param').

    The stack for the OracleException trace is as follows:

    at Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client.OracleCommand.ExecuteNonQuery)

    UPDATE 1:

    Now, I have tested with older versions of Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll thus:

    • ODAC 12 c Release 4 (12.1.0.2.4 - released October 5, 2015) -fails with ORA-01008: not all variables
    • ODAC Release 3 (12.1.0.2.1 - published December 23, 2014) 12 c - fails with ORA-01008: not all variables
    • ODAC 12 c Release 2 (12.1.0.1.2 - released on December 20, 2013) - successful!

    Therefore, changes in driver management Oracle introduced between December 20, 2013 and December 23, 2014 has caused this problem.

    UPDATE 2:

    I dug some more in the question and after decompilation December 2013 and December 2014 versions, I found the piece interesting next to the code in the implementation of the ExecuteNonQuery()) method in the inner class OracleInternal.ServiceObjects.OracleCommandImpl. The code in red was added in the version of December 2014:

    ...

    else if (commandType! = CommandType.TableDirect)

    {

    OracleCommandImpl.TrimCommentsFromSQL (ref str);

    this.m_sqlStatementType = OracleCommandImpl.GetSqlStatementType (str);

    this.m_bHasReturningClause = OracleCommandImpl.HasReturningClause (str, this.m_sqlStatementType);

    }

    ...

    Take OracleCommandImpl.TrimCommentsFromSQL () method for a test ride easily reveal its weaknesses. It does not take into account the sequence '-' may appear in a quoted string, treating them as a comment and deletes the rest of the line...

    Could you please address this issue?

    Best regards

    Bernt

    Yes, the cause seems exactly the same thing as Bug 22308527. Once fix us this bug, please fix your problem as well.

  • ORA-00947: not enough values error collect in bulk

    Hi guys,.

    I'm trying to COLLECT in a PL/SQL table, but I get ORA-00947: not enough values error message, even if the table has 4 values and select 4 values. Am I missing something?

    I have to add something to this?

    -SUM (NVL (rotr.gross_amt, 0) + NVL (rotr.reciprocal_deduction_amt, 0)) as an amount

    -SUM (rotr.reciprocal_deduction_amt) as Deduction_amount

    -COLLECT LOOSE t_uge_Grp_for_coda_tab

    -OF royalty_transaction rumble

    -WHERE rotr.ps_adjust_royalty_flg = cm_default.get_yes

    - AND rotr.on_behalf_of_soc_nbr = r_adj_roy_trans.on_behalf_of_soc_nbr

    - AND rotr.right_type = r_adj_roy_trans.right_type

    -Rotr.usage_group_id group;

    SELECT 6874534 as Usage_Group_ID,

    "This is a test - CAE" as Coda_comment.

    100 as an amount

    50 as Deduction_amount

    LOOSE COLLECTION t_uge_Grp_for_coda_tab

    DOUBLE;

    /*

    IF l_uge_Grp_for_coda_tab. COUNT > 0 THEN

    cm002p.std_coda_post_cashing_out_bulk (p_on_behalf_of_society_number = > r_adj_roy_trans.on_behalf_of_soc_nbr,)

    p_right_type = > r_adj_roy_trans.right_type,

    p_Usage_Groups_for_coda_tab = > t_uge_Grp_for_coda_tab,

    p_reverse_posting_direction = > FALSE,

    p_posting_override_direction = > NULL,

    p_cohi_id = > NULL

    );

    END IF;

    */

    END LOOP;

    end;

    Here's what you need to do:

    SELECT Usage_Groups_for_coda_rec(6874534, "It is a test - CAE", 100, 50)

    LOOSE COLLECTION t_uge_Grp_for_coda_tab

    DOUBLE;

    You try bulk collect into a collection of Usage_Groups_for_coda_recs, then you will need to make type compatible using the implicit of the type constructor.

    Oracle Apex Vesion: 4.2.1

    Post a backtrace of the page see the request and the item type properties and the source / default to the value of the P8_MONEY_SAVED_FLAG element.

    Seems to be similar to ORA-06592 with the page only items appear, which also involved a master/detail form. Can you reproduce this on apex.oracle.com?

  • TUXEDO C server using Oracle 11 g ProC receives ORA-01012 not connected by mistake on EXEC SQL PREPARE

    Porting of some former service C code for TUXEDO that used Informix to Oracle... a trial.

    Service logic uses dynamic SQL to SQL and pre-compiler instructions to then run the

    Statement and return to the client in the form of an XML doc.

    Port is done now and during the test initial (after you have configured the TUXCONFIG, environment, Oracle DB, etc) am receiving an Oracle ORA-01012 not connected when the TUXEDO service routine tries to prepare the SQL SELECT statement.

    The statement in question is a simple "SELECT * FROM EMP".

    The server is defined in a group belonging to a group that has an OPENINFO string that connects to the Oracle DB.  This seems to be the case I see the sqlplus using the view v$ session where the user sessions connect when servers of launch.

    No idea why the EXEC SQL PREPARE is causing the server to disconnect from the DB?

    THX.

    W. MacKenzie

    It was with the inclusion of the DB = orcl tag in my OPENINFO in the TUXCONFIG.  Remove that and specify the database instance in the envfile for the configuration.  Works now.

  • ORA-24372: not valid to describe object

    I get this error in one of my schema:

    ORA-24372: not valid to describe object

    can someone help me please in this?

    my database is oracle 11 GR 2

    You can have problems related to the privilege... check the invalid objects under your schema.

    and see why they are not valid, they could be missing "execute permissions... etc.

    also you can check view dba_errors errors in your schema for more information.

    I hope this helps.

    The group by mistake is not appear anymore when I delete all fields after the listagg field, that might be a clue to the solution.

    It is not difficult to understand. You can have other columns not aggregated in your projection on the side of those listed in the group by expression.

    The reason for ORA-01489 is that the resulting string will become long and exceeds 4000 bytes.

    You will find several solution in this forum.

    For example
