Unable to connect or server is not available.
I just got a Lifecam VX-5000 and tried to install it on my computer at home, which is running a 32-bit "Vista Home Premium", but when the installer from the cd try to start by checking the software updates via the internet that I don't get an error message not listed by saying me that "Setup cannot continue because you are not connected to the internet or the server is unavailable."
Firefox and IE browsers are currently working and connection to the net very well and I tried to run the installation with the firewall disabled, but I get the same message.To make it, I get only about 3 seconds after the installation attempt. Any help would be appreciated.
Try right click on the setup.exe > run as admin.

Not allowed to log on when the domain is not available
Hello world
I have setup a T500 on the area of the company and when I try to log on to the laptop when a connection of field is not available for example from home. I get "you are limited to using fingerprints only to connect. But the fingerprint system is currently unavailable. Please contact your administrator"pop up message box. However I have not enrolled in the connection of the fingerprint.
Thanks for any help on this.
Rhys
Have found the solution. It's easier that I thought it would be.
I logged the area. Open the lenovo fingerprint software. entered my password, which allowed me to go into the options and uncheck the box "logon of fingerprints only", and then closed the lenovo fingerprint software. Then I disconnected and disconnect all network connections and could open a session with just by typing the user name and password.
Hope this helps someone else.

OK, so you have a software firewall (IPTables) running. By default, it will not be configured to accept connections on port 1521. You have two options...
(1) disable the firewall completely. Run these commands to do this...
stop /etc/init.d/iptables
chkconfig iptables off
The first command stops the service. The second command prevents revived at every restart of the OS.
(2) add an exception to the firewall for port 1521. I'm not a Linux expert, but it should be something like this...
Change the configuration of IPTables with vi...
VI/etc/sysconfig/iptables
Add a new rule as follows...
-A of ENTRY m state - state NEW-m tcp tcp - dport 1521-j ACCEPT Pei
Save and close, and then restart the IPTables service...
/etc/init.d/iptables restart
NOTE: you must always change the name of this server to something other than "localhost".

Can anyone help me, it's very urgent.
LavenuHello
It seems that your flash recovery area is full.To check this, run the following query. It will show the size of the recovery area and how complete it is:
fixed lines 100
Col name format a60
Select name
floor (space_limit/1024/1024) "size MB"
ceil (space_used/1024/1024) "used MB"
v $ recovery_file_dest
by name
/
To resolve this problem, you must expand the flash recovery area or delete some files from it.If you have the available disk space, expand the recovery area:
ALTER system set db_recovery_file_dest_size =
scope = both
/
To delete the files, you must use RMAN. Manually move or delete files has no effect because oracle will know. Is the obvious choice for backup and remove some log files archive. However, if you usually write your RMAN backups on disk, this could prove difficult. RMAN will attempt to write the backup of the recovery flash... area that is full. You can try to send the backup also using a command like this:RMAN target / catalog user/pass@rmancat
Run {}
allocate channel t1 type disk;
backup ARCHIVELOG all delete them input format ' //arch_%d_%u_ %s;
output channel t1;
}
This backup all archive logs files in a directory of your choice and then remove them.Kind regards

I am getting below error when executing the activities of flashback. Currently we have backups, so when I tried the command flashback in RMAN my question solved.
