ORA-65096 installation Oracle 12cR1 example diagrams

Hello

Database: 12cR1, 12.0.1.0, x 64

System: Oracle Linux 6.4, x 64

I installed a database simple starter during the installation of Oracle 12cR1 database with the PDBORCL option enabled (default) and would like to install the Oracle example, such as the HR schema users, data etc. According to http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E16655_01/server.121/e15979/installation.htm#I4367

@?/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

CREATE USER IDENTIFIED BY hr hr

*

ERROR on line 1:

ORA-65096: of invalid common name of the user or role

Maybe the scripts were not designed for container and plug-able data. I did the following:

ALTER database connectable to open pdborcl;

change the container set session = PDBORCL;

@?/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

Modified user.

Grant succeeded.

Grant succeeded.

Connected.

GRANT execute ON sys.dbms_stats TO hr

*

ERROR on line 1:

ORA-01917: there is no user or role 'HR'

I could probably create a regular database, but I wonder if there is another option without having to change the configuration scripts.

Thank you!

Hello

You can just set the TWO_TASK environment variable before setting up your example of schema.

For ex:

Export TWO_TASK = PDBORCL

sqlplus sys/passwd@PDBORCL as sysdba

@?/demo/schema/human_resources/hr_main.sql

Indeed, when TWO_TASK is defined, the default client connection uses TNS and alias in your tnsnames.ora instead of the local connection and ORACLE_SID.

"The TWO_TASK (on UNIX) or LOCAL (Windows) environment variable can be on a login. "This removes the need to explicitly enter the connection identifier when a connection is made in SQL * more"

http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E16655_01/server.121/e18404/APD.htm

Kind regards

Alex

    Hi all

    32.

    Win7

    12 c is now complicating things, they just don't give dba a peaceful life

    SQL > create user JENNA identified by JENNA quota unlimited on users;

    create unlimited user identified by quota JENNA JENNA on users

    *

    ERROR on line 1:

    ORA-65096: of invalid common name of the user or role

    I don't understand PDB and the CBD; common local vs user; user vs user DBA developer vs for the end user?

    Where should I create ordinary user JENNA using USERS tablespace?

    Thank you very much

    JC

    12 c presents a new concept of CBD and APB, as well as common users and the. You cannot create local users in the root container. You must set the context on the container of your preliminary draft BUDGET or to connect to the PDB to create a local user.

    For example:

    $ sqlplus / as sysdba
    SQL> create user jenna identified by "password" account unlock;
    create user jenna identified by "password" account unlock
                *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-65096: invalid common user or role name

    $ sqlplus / as sysdba
    SQL> alter session set container=pdb2_2
    SQL> create user jenna identified by "password" account unlock;
    User created.

    or

    $ sqlplus sys/oracle_4U@pdb2_2 as sysdba
    SQL> create user jenna identified by "password" account unlock;
    User created.

    You don't have to create a database of the container and use a pluggable 12 c database, but if you do, you need to study and understand new concepts.

    Using RAW could be the problem. I'm not sure someone who has used Virtual Box with raw disks for their RAC testbed. Most people use ASM. I've seen a few people use NFS as well. You'll also want to stay away raw because that which is frowned upon in 11.2. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e41962/whatsnew.htm#RILIN931

    Under the Options deprecated for Oracle RAC 11 g Release 2:

    "Installation of files on raw devices is no longer an option available during installation. You must use a shared file system, or using Oracle Automatic Storage Management. »

    Here's how to configure RAC on my laptop with Virtual Box: http://www.peasland.net/2015/04/23/oracle-rac-on-my-laptop-with-virtual-box/

    Same mistake.  Nothing is written for the journal of alerts.  IM starting to pull the hair is left on my head out and people start screaming for this database.  I could go back to datapump but I want to understand this.  Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Yes, although this:

    connected to target database: IST_11G (DBID = 525645852)

    connected to the auxiliary database: IST_11G (unassembled)

    can say you that RMAN you connected the two separate databases, the process, instances should do research each other using tnsnames file entries.  Thus, incorrect tnsnames entries can have one instance pointing to itself.

  • Installation Oracle Linux 6 - won't be after this screen

    1.jpg

    When I install until this screen, it will not proceed... How to solve?

    Hi GheeSeongand welcome to the VMware communities!

    I guess that the scroll bar does not reveal any button 'Next' at the bottom of the screen...

    You've hit a bug in Oracle Linux 6.2.  We have an article in the Knowledge Base describing the related issues during installation Oracle Linux 6.2 on vSphere and another related issue when you use virtual EFI firmware.  All these problems are caused by the same bug Oracle Linux (and they have released an update to fix it), but it seems that we have not yet a section in Knowledge Base describing the problem encountered on VMware Workstation, where the symptom is that the screen is cut off and there is no button 'Next' to visible.  (Interestingly, you can still use the keyboard to go through Setup... Press Alt + N)

    To get the display work correctly, try this:

    • Shut down the virtual computer.
    • Go into the settings of the virtual machine and configure the virtual machine display to have a screen at 1024 x 768.  Save the settings.  (I have been informed that sometimes this setting doesn't "stick", then you will want to return to settings and check that it is correct before continuing.)
    • Turn on the virtual machine and enter the Setup program.  You should now have a button "next".
    • Install Oracle Linux 6.2.
    • Once the client is installed, follow the instructions in the Knowledge Base article to install the update within the guest to correct the cuase of the root of the problem.
    • When you have installed the update and turn off your virtual machine, you can remove the limitation of 1024 x 768 display that you added earlier.

    Your Oracle Linux VM should then work correctly.

    Please let us know if this solves the problem for you!

    Thank you

    Hello
    I use Oracle database 11g Version 11.2.0.1.0 and IM having this problem seems not to have solved on my system...
    Im working directly with the Oracle computer is installed and I tried all the solutions I could find on the forum of the RTO for the ORA-01034 error, but none seems to work for me please someone have more ideas?
    EXPLANATION: first of all, I got this ORA-12505, so I applied a solution of forum OTN by editing the listener.ora file and added a SID_DESC more and it seemed to solve the error ORA-12505, whereupon I reboot my system and tried the connection, rather a new ORA-01034 error appeared.

    That's what my listener.ora file looks lik after that I edited it:

    Here are the solutions I tried for the 0RA-01034 BUT none WORKED
    (1) do you find in your sqlnet.ora an entry like SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS)? If so, change it to judgment SQLNET. AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NONE).
    (2) set oracle_sid = grms
    sqlplus/nolog
    Conn System/Manager have sysdba
    the judgment
    startup
    (3) change the name of the service to the CEILINGS
    Please, does anyone have any other ideas better... would be grateful. Thank you

    just try this >
    cmd > set ORACLE_SID = OBYYS
    cmd > sqlplus / as sysdba
    sqlplus > startup mount;
    sqlplus > show parameter db_recovery_file_dest_size

    increase the size of db_recovery_file_dest_size to a greater value of order below.

    sqlplus > alter system set db_recovery_file_dest_size = 6G;
    sqlplus > alter database open;

    Thank you

    OK, so you're not do backups at all.

    In other words, that your only option is to reload the database from the most recent export. This means that you going to LOSE data at the time of the last export, up to the current moment in time.

    As others have said, I'll say it again: export is NOT a backup strategy valid! You must run in archivelog, backup your database regularly mode (using the RMAN backup) and backup and Save (once again, with RMAN) all archivelogs generated between backups!

    But it is what it is. You have only export you took. So, you need to work with what you have. Given that corruption is file #1, which is the SYSTEM tablespace datafile, your only option is to drop and re-create the database, and then import your latest export.

    When you have done this, and you have a working database once again, go back and set ŒUVRE a REAL STRATEGY of BACKUP! Use RMAN, place the database in archivelog mode. Do not hesitate!

    Hope that helps,

    -Mark

  • Upgrade to EBS and oracle database examples database

    Hi all

    I'm upgrading our database of 11.1 to 11.2.0.4 EBS Note 1058763.1 said the examples of oracle database installation is required. The database examples guide also gives this link: Oracle database software download | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle

    But the link does not 11.2.0.4 software file linux 86_64.

    Am I missing something here...?

    Kind regards

    Vinod

    Hello

    The two 11.2.0.4 of the database and the CD examples are available in the patch 13390677.

    The part of the database is included in the files 1 & 2.

    The examples CD is in file 6.

  • Installation Oracle BI Publisher and the command prompt closes on its own

    I am following the instructions to install Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.7.1 Trial Edition with the instructions available on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-publisher/trial-edition-install-guide-1556170.pdf

    The instructions tell you don't not to close the prompt during the installation process.  In my installation, command line closes on its own.

    Don't know what I can do.

    I'm installing on a Windows 7 64-bit PC.  I have Java installed update 7 45 and Internet Explorer 10.

    Make sure that you install the BEEP in a folder that does contain no spaces. For example "C:/Program Files/BEEP...". ». Given that space in "Program Files" the guest back sometimes charge and close immediately telling me error "path not found", but the dos window closes quickly and you will not be able to see the error. Install to a different folder. Say "C:/BEEP".

    Watch the docs below and remove the classpath as well.

  • Oracle 11g examples CD installtion issue

    Hello:

    I am trying to install oracle 11 g 2 examples cd on my-86-64 Linux following machine note: 881505.1

    . The machine has two homes of oracle.

    1 dbhome_1 - contains software and db
    2 applprod - contains only the software

    When I run the Setup program to install the examples in the first House, he gives the following installation errors.

    "The conflicts chosed installation with software already installed in the given oracle House."

    'Examples of oracle database cannot be installed in an existing home to Oracle'

    I made sure the oracle base, home are set correctly before you run the installation program. Any idea what could go wrong?

    Kind regards

    Bala

    Bala,

    What is "echo $ORACLE_HOME" returns?

    You have the base 11.2.0 software installed in the db_home1?

    Kind regards
    Hussein

  • Oracle 12cR1 - YES watch OS kernel Version is the verification failure

    YES watch is failure of control of the OS kernel in prior checks during the installation of database Oracle 12 c R1 on an Oracle Linux 6.5 Server (with Red Hat Compatible kernel 2.6.32 - 431).

    The message that signals a prerequisite to check if the kernel system version is at least "2.6.39".

    However, distributions of supported Oracle Database 12 c shows that Oracle Linux 6 with the Red Hat Compatible kernel: 2.6.32 - 71.el6.x86_64 or later is supported.

    Can I know how to fix this problem?

    In the nut shell, you can ignore this error message regarding the bug 19287706 if you meet the minimum requirements of:
    Oracle Linux 6 with the core of the unbreakable Company: 2.6.39 - 200.24.1.el6uek.x86_64 or later
    Oracle Linux 6 with the Red Hat Compatible kernel: 2.6.32 - 71.el6.x86_64 or later

  • I get an ORA-12514 in Oracle 12 c when restart Windows 2012

    Hi Mr President:

    I just installed Oracle 12 c in a 2012 Widnows Server. Sometimes, I get the famous ORA-12154 error - tns could not resolve the connect identifier specified. the problems occurs in two different servers. I think the problem is when I reboot the server, Oracle has a problem with the identifier name or database server / IP resolution.

    I fix"Database Management Wizard" running Oracle. When I run this application, the database comes to life. Can you explain to me what is happening? How can I fix or put in place to solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Guillermo

    you need the administration for windows, not the dbca assistant

    This will give you the options to start automatically to your windows startup oracle

    Set the nt service starts automatically and also the oracle instance

    This should resolve the startup problem

    provide your listener will also start automatically...

    You can set to auto in services.msc

  • Error ORA-04030 in Oracle RAC11GR2

    Hello

    I work with oracle 11 g RAC 2.

    I have replace the slider by collecting and using bulk collect to optimize the pl/sql code of the application.

    But ultimately I got this error:

    ORA-06500: PL/SQL: Storage error

    ORA-04030: memory of process when trying to allocate 48 bytes 16328 bytes

    (call from koh-kghu, pmuccst: adt/registration).

    I check the memory

    memory_target = 1.2Go

    memory_max_target = 1.5Go

    SGA_TARGET = 625Mo (I'll put these values to control and use Advisory for sga and pga)

    pga_aggregate_target = 600 MB

    SGA_MAX_SIZE = 1.5Go

    When I check the Advisory sga and pga advice:

    SGA should be 1 GB

    PGA should be (at least) 3.5Go

    I would like to understand if sga_max_size fixed to 1.5Go (the memory_max_target), PGA cannot take this memory?

    Oracle error, do you think it is that I must add memory and fixed SGA and PGA of the values indicated in the notice?

    I thank in advance

    Hello

    the cause of the problem is the deficiency of the memory of the PGA, it takes more than 600 MB according to notice of oracle (we must 3.5Go)

    I keep the cursor for the application to wait to add memory RAM to our server.

    Good day

    DATABASE: PDBORCL

    error 12154 appear

    It's perfectly normal: what you type in the DATABASE is not the service or database name, but a tns alias in tnsnames.ora. If your tnsnames.ora is the one you posted, PDBORCL isn't there (see the description of the error in my post above).
