Oracle 10 g 2: hanging of session after "select regexp_like.

Hello

We use an Oracle database 10 g 2 (10.2.0.5.0) installed on a Windows Server 2003 (x 64).

Yesterday a simple query (select * from table where regexp_like (upper (filename), ' ^ [aA - zZ] {0,1} * $')) has been started but never came back. Any other question on the same table

runs without any problem. Trying to kill the session with "alter system kill session...". "the session has maintained the State of being killed (currently for over 24 hrs.).

Seems quite odd to me since Oracle has no need to restore anything - ist was just the select which was performed at this session. The fort of event wait this session

is "SQL * Net message from client. However rebooting the computer Client did not help either. The database seems to be in good shape - at least that does not session

nothing, don't. Rebound of the database is not possible - but certainly will solve this problem.

Any ideas or maybe a bug known?

Rgds

J.

Good question, system administrator Ask, they should have a windows administration tool (I don't know the name) which will allow them to find all threads of a process Oracle.exe.

I had a similar problem and windows administrator was able to follow this thread and kill for me.

  • Computer asks me to open a session after the connection

I just upgraded to El Capitan and noticed the other day, and even today when I realized my computer was dead and plugged when I tried to put it on it gave me a login screen with a tick next to my name and then next to it was the display of the guest and she asked me to open a session , after I login I lost control of my mouse and the screen goes black and then it goes to my regular login screen is just my user ID asking me to log in a second time. I was confused by it and I changed my password, but now he asked me once again just a few minutes ago to do the same thing. Is this normal? I know I was hacked just recently by a person who has put something in the mainframe UNIX to my computer and the people of the APPLESTORE wiped my drive and had to rebuild my computer but since then with the new passwords and everything is this something new number I need to worry or is this a new normal occurrence due to El Capitan?

  • Recovery Console hangs after selecting 1

I can't start windows. It is said system32\config\system is damaged or missing.  I tried to use the XP CD and recovery console, but it crashes after selecting 1.  It does not have a password, freezes right after that I typed 1 and press ENTER.  Also, it crashes when you try to install XP from the disk, it sticks to the 'Search previous versions of Microsoft Windows... "I can't get in the consol to run checkdisk, and apparently, I can't reload even windows XP.  Any ideas?  I have a full backup of the important stuff to an external drive, so I can do a full charge if necessary.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

Okay - you have two immediate problems...

You must run chkdsk/r from the XP Recovery Console.   The chances of the file really be missing or damaged are slim.  Always start by chkdsk /r from the Recovery Console when you see this message.

Since you have a SATA HDD, when you start in the XP from a CD Recovery Console, you may not understand the configuration either hang (trying to figure out), or if you get into RC, you will not be able to run chkdsk/r because it does not include the SATA HDD configuration.

You must enter the BIOS of your system (i.e. before XP starts to load), sometimes pressing the "Del" key on your keyboard and temporarily change the settings of your HARD drive to a sort of IDE or IDE compatibility mode, and then boot into the Recovery Console, and then run chkdsk /r (several times until it runs its own) and then put your BIOS to the way it was before you started.

That means that when you change the BIOS, you must take note of the way in which it is implemented here, so you can change it when you are finished (or worse).

I have accumulated the following can help you to adjust your BIOS, but you have to understand it maybe just to experiment a little - be sure to make a note of what it is that you change so you can restore the settings.

The adjustment is done in the BIOS and could be in Integrated Peripherals, Configuration of SATA, SATA Mode device.  After you make the changes, save them and see how your Recovery Console works now.

If you find that the mode is set on the RAID/SATA mode, change the IDE mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA, change the IDE mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA, SATA mode off.

If you find that the mode is set to AHCI, change the ATA mode.

If you find that the mode is set to AHCI emulation Mode, change the IDE emulation mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA, SATA mode off or change the ATA mode.

If you find that the mode is set to SATA Native Mode, disable the native SATA Mode.

If you find that the mode is set on AHCI/RAID Autodetect, change the combination mode.

After completing the settings, ACCEPT and SAVE changes and reboot the system and see if it will now boot on the CD from Recovery Console.

  • Submit after selecting the value of Popup LOV

Anyone know if it is possible to make the Popup LOV behave as the list select and resubmit the page after selecting a value?

The Select list has an additional attribute in properties named "Page Action times changed value". One of the options for this attribute is "submit Page". This attribute is not available for Popup LOV, but I would like to be able to create the same behavior. The number of values that might be returned for this article is too many to use a Select list...

I think I might be able to add a bit of Javascript somewhere and do a "onChange.submit ()" or something like that, but I'm not sure of the syntax, or where to put it.

    Any help gratefully received...
