Oracle 11 g 2 grid - Cluster check question

Hello

I installed grid Oracle 11 GR 2 64-bit on Linux 5.9 on Virtual Box. Shortly after the installation of the software of the grid, if I lance./runcluvfy.sh - help, the error message next to come is.

./runcluvfy.sh-aide

/ bin/rm: cannot remove directory ' / tmp/bootstrap ': operation not permitted.

. / runcluvfy.sh: line 99: /tmp/bootstrap.log: Perission refused

And I installed the database software Oracle 11 GR 2 64-bit on the above machine, the following error is coming.

While I installed 64 bit software grid and database, why the following error is coming

The software that I downloaded are as follows:

(1) linux.x64_11gR2_grid

(2) linux.x64_11gR2_database_1of2

(3) linux.x64_11gR2_database_2of2

(4) Linux OS V36332-01 (this is the iso file)

I downloaded all these files in the Oracle's Web site

Architecture - it is a condition of prerequirisite to test if the system is certified architecture.

Result of the verification of the failed node: racm1

Real value: x86_64

List of errors:

"EXPECTED ="x 86 "; Found = 'x86_64']
-Cause: The System Architecture does not meet the requirement.

Could you please give me solution. I would be grateful.

One thing is that I execute./runcluvfy.as the Oracle user, then the above error is coming.

If I run as root user, he was throwing bad command.

I use the grid control because I have to configure the plugin EM for ten times.

    Kind regards

    Hello

If you want to use EM 11 g Grid Control on 64-bit Linux, you must install the 11.1.0.1.0 version, which is available here:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/OEM/grid-control/downloads/linuxx8664soft-085949.html

Note that the latest version of the EM is 12 c; However, if you still want to go with EM 11 g, the following support note documents the installation steps and has references to other useful notes:

Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11.1.0.1 step by step installation (Doc ID 1059516.1)

Moreover, the Concepts guide below contains information about 11 g EM including WHO and the agent components:

  • DW CC - fluid grid & media interview questions

    Hello.

I'm diving into the fluid in DW CC grid section as I'd like to target most of the screens. Just a few questions:

    (1) is it possible to create a template (designed for mobile, Tablet, desktop) and reuse for other projects?  If so, are there any tuts out there that offers advice?

    2) important - while I'm creating fluid layouts grid & using mobile queries, I'm having a hard time to target css for a particular screen size.

For example, in both mobile and Tablet I float an image to the left, but the right float in the office. So under @Media I select Office (min-width: 769px) then the right float said img. But when I check the other screen sizes, the right float has been used in the world. I usually have to manually enter the css myself to make it work. Am I missing something?

    Thank you.

Due to the way fglayouts works, you need to create mobile first.  And then compressed.  Finally, office.

Tablet & desktop computers, you can float images.  But you definitely don't want them not float in mobile devices.

Do not tamper with the code in the files FluidGrid.css or Boilerplate.css.  If you do, you run a very high risk of breaking the capricious layout system.  Use an external stylesheet separated for your custom styles - like floating images, size of text, etc...

  • Fault tolerance/HA/cluster optimization question

    Hello

I implemented a cluster using VMware vSphere 5 Essentials Plus allowed, up to now, there are 2 nodes running ESXi 5.0.0 and it does behave not quite the way we expect, probably there is a change in the requirements.

The problem is that the cluster will only allow power on virtual machines on a host. The expected or desired behavior is that we want to be able to load completely, a host, designating some VMS as needing high availability and load the second host allowing sufficient resources to automatically start the virtual machines called high availability. Error message when you try to turn on a virtual machine on the failover host: "the current operation cannot be performed because it has been configured as a host for a failover cluster."

Our intention is to migrate virtual machines to a third host in the cluster and then upload form and upgrade of third 5.0.0 ESXi host and join the cluster. We do not want a whole army reserved.

Can you still have failover capabilities without reserving an entire army? Sure I'm missing something basic here.

    =====

    Cluster settings:

Turn on vSphere THAT HA is checked

Turn on vSphere DRS is unchecked (we do not license this feature)

    vSphere HA:

    Home monitoring status is verified

    Admission control is enabled

1 Center failover server is specified

    VMware EVC:

    People with disabilities

    ======

Please let me know what additional information is needed.

    Thank you

I'd probably go the road of "Percentage of Cluster resources reserved as unused capacity tipping" - check out http://frankdenneman.nl/2011/01/setting-correct-percentage-of-cluster-resources-reserved/ for some great information on it.

  • Culture & snap to grid - Photoshop Elements Question help

Hi - I have a question about cropping.  I noticed that when I try to crop at the edge of a photo, I can't do as fine a fit - it acts as if it is 'alignment on the grid.  There is a very small white edge that I am trying to get rid of - I have scanned some photos and had too much of a border around them. Is there a way to fix this?  Also, when I select Elements of Photoshop help within the program, is there a way to make the search results show just what pertains to my version (9 items)?  Thank you.

PL post accurate versions OS and 11g. Looks like you just installed 11g software - what options do you have chosen during the installation?

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E11882_01/server.112/e10897/install.htm#CHDCDIIE

  • Cluster 2008 question ESXi 3.5

    Our installation program.

    Two ESXi host with vCenter.

Four windows 2008 with the installation of SQL 2008 in a 2-node failover cluster. If two windows 2008 in a cluster and two Windows 2008, in a second cluster using MSCS.

We aren't vmotion, HA, or any other grouping of VMware or failover but relying on windows MSCS.

I'm trying to configure the above using ESXi 3.5 update 4 but ran into some concerns read on this. The main problem is the software cluster in a VMware environment stipulates: "Windows 2008 failover cluster will work only in ESX4 (lack of reservation SCSI3 in ESX 3.x)."

This applies to Windows MSCS or just the VMware HA?

For cluster Windows 2008 with SQL can I use ESXi 4 in order to have the vmware to handle? I guess I can use the Windows iSCSI initiator to connect to shared drives and it will work?

I'm on a strict schedule, so I hesitate to switch to ESXi 4 right now so I'm leaning towards just try using Windows iSCSI.

    Thanks for any comments.

Currently, you cannot build a failover cluster Windows 2008 on ESX 3.x, using the documentation for VMware (vmdk shared of cluster in a box), or RDM for other cases.

    You must use ESX 4.x.

Or use the software initiator to point directly to Windows 2008 to shared storage.

Or use NPIV to directly connect a FC LUN share.

  • Smart Grid Gateway install question

I currently have a WOOF running job environment. I would like to install Smart Grid Gateway on my other Weblogic Server that I have on the same machine. I use it for OSB and SOA.

I would like to know if this is possible and if it is, can I use separate environment for the second installation WOOF (SGG) variable?

Ideas in this matter is appreciated.

    Hello

I have never installed SGG, but AFAIK you install SGG on an existing installation of MDM.
I don't know if you have installed the package MDM, but you must at least have installed the package MDF.

SGG uses some components of MDF (perhaps MDM).
You must use OSB and SOA because SGG has an installation package for the BSO.

It should not be a problem to install different instances in parallel on the same computer. I did it for the MDM and
I see no problem for SGG.

  • Duration of Oracle Certification? (Renewal of the certification Question (s))

For the various Certification paths/tracks offered by Oracle, is it an official URL that indicates how long the certifications are good for and the process to obtain a new certification? And for more coverage more than scope-> more Beefy/more thick certifications get you automatically an OCA? IE: If you get an OCP, have you considered OCA?

Generally, the certifications expire. They are usually related to a particular version, however. So once you have become an OCP to Oracle 7, you should always be an Oracle 7 OCP. You must take one or more upgrade exams to get the Oracle 8 OCP (OCP 8i or 9i, 10g OCP, OCP 11g OCP, etc..)
