Oracle APEX Apache connection problem

Hello

I have an interesting problem. I would like to install the Apache Server with mod_plsql on a server with at least another Apache server running. I thing it's an iSuites Oracle Portal. It doesn't seem to be an Apache Server installed on the machine in addition to the other server. I think that the iSuites server can be a server and report forms. I would like to set up 'my' Apache server to maintain my APEX development environment.

I know it sounds confusing, but if you can tell me what you need your help, I can provide the information.

Thank you

Charles

Hi Charles,

I'm guessing what you have is actually an installation of server applications. Basically, you need to copy the images directory and configuration and the alias for her as well as descriptors of connection in the dads.conf file. The following post has some links that should help.

Oracle application server 10g and apex

see you soon,

If it's a sys user you will need to set the password file to connect to the database as sysdba user remotely. and we do not need to check if the privilege to connect is given to the sys user or not. adding to this remote_login_password check = EXCLUSIVE lock

In above case which is then c:\temp.

  • Connection to the database to Oracle using Oracle Apex 5.0.1

    Hi all

Is it possible to connect to the Oracle (Oracle SQL Developer 4.1.1) database using Oracle Apex 5.0.1 instead of using the object browser. As he was more workspace after you have downloaded the data we have on CSV Excel.

For example: regardless of the tables I've created in the Application Builder is created in the object browser. We have limited the workspace of 500 MB. This is the reason why we cannot use this method to load the data and retrieve it. (Note: can I ask 2 GB of space to work on the approval of the Director, who is still not sufficient)

Is it possible that I will create an apex.oracle.com application by using the application builder and I will create in the database tables. When I load the file in application, data will be stored in the database Oracle instead of the object browser.

Well let me know is possible, if yes, how can I proceed.

If this isn't the case, please let me know how I can get more workspace.

According to my understanding, other possibilities are: 1) taking backup of old files and free up space, 2) create another workspace and get extra work space.

    Thanks for your help!

    Kind regards

    Vinod

    Hello

When you load data using APEX SQL Workshop utilities for example, the data is stored in your database tables.

Object browser is just seen tool your schema as the table objects and the data in the tables, just as SQL Developer.

If you have no good reason to keep these files that you downloaded in the workspace, delete those. Data is stored in database tables.

  • Apache FOP disappeared by Oracle APEX installable APEX 5.0 and 5.0.1 APEX

    Hi all

Is Apache FOP 'fop.war', missing the installable Oracle APEX to APEX 5.0 (apex_5.0.zip) and APEX 5.0.1 (apex_5.0.1.zip)?

As once extraction APEX 5.0/5.0.1 is no record "fop" or "fop.war" under/path/to/apex/utilities.

But after extraction APEX 4.2.6 (apex_4.2.6.zip) it is "fop.war" to /path/to/apex/utilities/fop/fop.war

The APEX Oracle 'Configuration of printing the report' documentation for APEX 5.0 (in Oracle Application Express Administration Guide) lists 'External (Apache FOP)' as option "print server".

    Reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/doc.50/e39151/adm_wrkspc002.htm#BABIECEE

The Administration Instance for APEX 5.0 settings also show "External (Apache FOP)" option:

    Screenshot from 2015-07-22 21:19:46.png

Therefore, the question: is Apache FOP endorsed the option of print for APEX 5.0 Server? If so, why he isn't in the installable APEX to APEX 5.0 and 5.0.1 APEX.

The second question is: point 6 in thereport of the print in a full development environment setup' for APEX portrays 5.0 "/ xmlpserver/convert" as "Print Server Script' for Apache FOP and BI Publisher. While this is correct in the case of BI Publisher, it should be for Apache FOP "/ fop/apex_fop.jsp" according to: PDF of print on demand Express 3.1 and above.

    Kind regards

    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

If you use ADR to run APEX, then the option "external (Apache FOP)" is unnecessary. You would simply take ADR as a print server in the administration of instance APEX. "External (Apache FOP)" option it will take though, if for some reason you need to using mod_plsql or EPG for APEX and then only ADR as a print server - whereby case you will need to configure all the attributes (host, port, script), given that those who would be so different from your APEX the host and port.

Regarding your requests, I'll work on getting this pages OTN and whitepapers and documents updated regarding the printing configuration by their SUMMIT. For questions regarding ADR, I recommend posting these on the forum of ADR please:

HostName: Enter your ip or hostname of the oracle example server address:-192.168.11.12

    type---> hostname

    type ping hostname--->

  • PL/JSON utility integration into Oracle APEX 4.0 application problem

I want to be able to use the PL/JSON utility in my application Oracle APEX (4.0) but get several errors when I try to run the Hello World example (replace GET_VARCHAR2 by GET_STRING) of http://embosa.wordpress.com/2010/02/26/oracle-and-json-using-pljson/ in the SQL command page. I can confirm that PL/JSON works if I run the example as his own script, PL/SQL, outside Oracle APEX.

My database is Oracle 10 g XE. I get the following error messages when I run the Hello World example in the page of SQL command:
    ORA-06550: line 2, column 20:

    ORA-06550: line 2, column 20:

Maybe I'm too new/familiar with APEX Oracle PL/SQL, but I guess that APEX does not have the privileges to use PL/JSON. I already gave the public privileges execute on three packages (JSON_EXT, JSON_PARSER, JSON_PRINTER) and APEX_PUBLIC_USER but the error messages does not change. What Miss me?

You have granted the ACL to the RMSR of your database schema, so it is necessary for the APEX_050000 scheme when you use the APEX_MAIL package.

This is why the ACL must be granted at the APEX 5 Schema: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/install.50/e39144/listener.htm#HTMIG29161

Here's how the ACL must be granted for APEX 5 Schema: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E59726_01/install.50/e39144/listener.htm#HTMIG29162

    NOTE:

    • Create the ACL by logging into the user with SYSDBA SYS privileges.
    • Don't forget to validate after execution of the anonymous block for the creation of ACL.

  • Export of apex (oracle.apex.APEXExport) on Oracle 12 c and ORA-28040

Customer running of Java oracle.apex.APEXExport (from Apex v4.2.5) against a 12.1.0.2 RAC - and JDBC connection failure made with a ORA-28040: no authentication protocol for. (works without problem against all our 11g RAC)

Oracle MOS see Notes section Configuration of SQL * Net of parameters (SQLNET.) ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_CLIENT and SQLNET. ALLOWED_LOGON_VERSION_SERVER) to an earlier version (example 8) on the client and the server, bouncing the listener, etc.

Googling turned up the solution to the CLASSPATH to include the ojdbc6.jar (as the first jar jdbc in the path) - and only using one more late JDBC driver/pot solves the problem.

Played a bit with both options, but not luck. Always get the error ORA-28040 .

Ideas, comments and suggestions will be appreciated on how to address this issue.

Well, problem solved. With the CLASSPATH workaround works fine - if done correctly.

Find an odbc6.jar on the platform, for example

    find $ORACLE_HOME-name ojdbc6.jar

Set the classpath the jar of real and then in the utilities directory in your file Apex (i.e., the location where you have unpacked your download Apex). For example

    export CLASSPATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/jdbc/lib/ojdbc6.jar:/software/apex/utilities

Now run export Apex by following the instructions, for example

Java oracle.apex.APEXExport - db :: -user -password -instance
