  Hello. My Win8 computer connects to the internet via my wireless dual band router. The computer has a 2.4 GHz network card, but I get too much interference on 2.4 GHz, so I added a USB adapter so that I can receive the 5 GHz wireless signal. When I connect to the 2.4 GHz signal, network shows as a private network, but when I connect to the 5 GHz signal, the network as a public network. I was not able to understand how to change from a public to a private network. I know right this difference is significant how, between the public and private network. Can someone explain it to me? And, in case it is important, how can I change the signal of 5 GHz from a public network to a private network? Thank you.

  I had trouble with your instructions, I will discuss this topic, but I want you to know in advance that your answer has allowed me to completely solve my problem.

  I started by going to network and sharing Center. You are right that under the name of my network it says Public, but it wasn't a link and I could click on it all day without anything happening.

  So, I tried to follow your other method. I came across a problem right away because when I right click on the network in the system tray icon, it does give me not an option to activate the sharing enabled or disabled. The only options that right clicking the icon me were to go to the central network and sharing, or to solve problems. I went to each of these options and has not found a menu including "Tower sharing on or off»

  Now, I started free finger pricker based on the thought that it was important to share (of something). I went back to the network and sharing Center and left clicked the link that gave me the public connection. From there, I clicked on properties and went to the sharing tab. I then checked the two boxes and selected the name of the 2.4 GHz connection (which always manifested as private for the Home Networking connection. When I clicked on OK and closed out of the property sheet, the connection to my 5 GHz connection had changed Public network in private network, which is exactly what I wanted.

  I'm working on a laptop HP Envy Touchsmart.  Model number is 15-j057cl.  He had a serious hard disk crash, and I am trying to recharge using the USB stick recovery at HP, because there is no CD/DVD drive.  Windows 8.

  All the drivers are loaded.  I have an internet connection via a wireless network, but not through the wired one.  All of the other PCs in my office are working very well, wired and wireless.  The cable network presents itself as an unidentified network and is a public network.  I've hunted in Microsoft and HP to find out how plugged it, identified and classified as a private network.  I have the link on the laptop and the network switch lights.   I changed the Cat5e cable with a good I use on another PC and still have the issue.

  The wired NIC Realtek PCIe GBE does not have DNS information, as it is constantly with the default Microsoft IP of 169.254.64.151.

  Any help would be appreciated.  Wireless connectivity is fine when you are mobile, but in the environment of office stationery, I need the wired connection speed.

  I see you have some connectivity issues with your Ethernet connection. As a private network to do what you need to do is set a password on the network. You need to talk to your the one that supplied to your wireless router.

  We will try a few things. First let's make sure that you do not use a Proxy Server. To do this, follow the steps below.

  Step 1: Open your Internet Explorer to your desktop computer from the Apps page

  Step 2. Click Tools and then click Internet options
  Step 3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings
  Step 4. Select the use a proxy server for your LAN check box
  Step 5. In the address box, type the address of the proxy server
  Step 6. Check "automatically detect connection settings.
  Step 7. When you have finished your changes

  Step 8. Click OK and then click OK again

  Then press the Windows key and 'R' to open the command run and then type cmd and press ENTER. This will bring up your command prompt and type ipconfig and press ENTER. Enter the default gateway, because it's your router. Then use the Ping section and this document howtogeek.com DNS server problems to see if you can reach the Web page of the router.

  If you can not reach the router then we will examine reseting the TCP/IP stack. Go to your command prompt and type netsh winsock reset catalog, and then press ENTER. • Even though I have my iPad WiFi connects to the internet even after that I have reset the network settings

  Having never had a problem with my iPad since buying about 3 years ago, suddenly I can't access the internet use it & none of the applications that need the internet have access either. (since the last update for IOS 9.3) I have reset the settings of the internet and the WiFi signal at the top is visible. Airport app told me that I have access to the internet, but I did not!  Does anyone else have this problem? I would really appreciate a quick solution, because it's so annoying when things sync and I need them to-such as the events of diary, photos email etc. not to mention the SMS!  Any help gratefully received!

  General suggestions for Wi - Fi problems, maybe one of them will help you...

  (1) perform a forced reboot: hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Leave the device to reboot.

  (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

  (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth).

  (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

  (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available.

  (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

  (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

  (8) to restore the device (ask for more details if you wish).

• HP Deskjet 3830: Have repeatedly reset the printer's wireless network settings

• Having to reset wireless network card all a few minutes after the release of Windows 7

  I have an Acer Aspire and have successfully used to connect to the Internet for a few months.  After the automatic updates of Windows 7 on 14/07/2011, I have to reset the wireless network adapter every few minutes.  My computer is essentially useless for the internet connection.

  There is no problem with the wireless router as I can connect to the Internet successfully for long periods of time with my HP computer.  I've used both computers simultaneously over the network without any problems.

  When Internet Explorer "blockages" and I opened the network and sharing Center, it says that my computer is connected to my home network but there is "No Internet access."

  In the system tray, if I right click on the wireless network icon and select problems, he comes back with:

  • Reset your wireless network adapter
  • The connection between your modem cable, router or point of access and the Internet
  • Problem with access point or wireless adapter

  "MarkedForDelete" is a transient attribute used to mark the line delete

  The lines are removed very well.

  The problem is with lines that I do not delete.

  For example I LOV column. I chose the value LOV in a few lines, and after that choose to delete several lines (not the same lines where I modified the LOV) but some other lines.

  After I click "delete", the lines that I marked to remove deleted indeed, but the value of the LOV in other rows (I have not scored for delete) are disabled.

  How to preserve value LOV so it will remain also after I deleted some lines?

  It is expected because I see that you rerun the query.

  Once you re - run, it retrieves from the database again. Thus, your values are lost because they are not posted.

  I don't think that run query is necessary, try to have a programmatic part trigger on the table after you remove all of the lines.

• Can I manage ESXi with the GUI Client from outside the private network?

  1 P2V Windows 2003 SBS Server virtualized hosting

  Company has 5 static public IP addresses. One is used by SBS, another for the public wireless network. I would use a third party to be able to access the ESX and perform remote management.

  I am able to use SBS Remote Workplace hop on the server or any computer of client desktop and can run VI Client from there, but prefer to do it from my computer so I don't attach resources to the office. two vSwitches - vSwitch0 is the 'network' and vSwitch1 is the "Public network". I configured a VMkernel Port on vSwitch1 like the default (vSwitch0) "network management". vSwitch1 takes the address of the gateway on the private network and when I change it to the ISP on vSwitch1, it also changes on vSwitch0.

  Is this possible?

  Welcome to the VMware community forums.  The VMkernel can have as a gateway, so that's why on vSwitch0 changes when you change vSwitch1.   Technically, there is nothing to stop you adding another on vSwitch1 and vmkernel port giving a public IP address (which you can then connect to the VI client).   That said, it's not recommended to to do.  The management for ESXi port is best left on a private network and possibly protected by a firewall.   Put the vmkernel Internet port would be like putting IP to an IP SAN management or the management of a switch on the Internet.  Yes you can do it, but this isn't a good idea.  Instead, you might consider putting in a simple VPN server and then connect to ESXi through that.

  I think I have to click on the network icon in the taskbar at the bottom right of the computer. To connect to the Internet, I have to reset the network adapter named "Local Area Connection" every time.  The computer can be idle for 30 minutes or more, and the adapter needs to be reset.  I have road runner cable internet and the operating system Windows Vista HP computer n about 3 years.  Have no idea?
