Oracle DB - passwords Impossible 12 c

I have a 12.1.0.2.0 base and trying to create a user with a password that is impossible to block direct connections and don't allow to connect through a proxy. The alter user testuser identified by the command "YouCannotLogin" of values that worked in previous versions of the database fails now. Everyone knows about this problem?

I just did some tests. Giving the clause IDENTIFIED BY VALUES without papers (which sets the password of 10g of hash in sys.user$ .password) chain offers work in my 12.1.0.1 on Windows as in previous versions, but he returned in 12.1.0.2 under Linux, ' ORA-02153: string of invalid password VALUES. However, you can set it to a legal hash value:

ORCL > alter user scott identified by the values "YouCannotLogin";

alter user scott identified by the values of "YouCannotLogin".

*

ERROR on line 1:

ORA-02153: string password invalid VALUES

ORCL > alter user scott identified by the values 'ABDEL ';

Modified user.

ORCL >

So, it seems that Uncle Oracle has added additional validation.

  • Owner of software Oracle (installation): password

Ive installed 10GEX and worked a little inside. Now, I work in the implementation of backup process. I want to set up a crotab to run the same script which is used through the GUI (Centos 5.4 - "RedHat"). I run the script manually with success.

Read on crontab, each user can have its own set of jobs. and by using the crontab-l command you can list the work in the queue of the user you are logged in as. The 'oracle' user exists, but I do not have a password for it... in order to log in to the operating system by using this user and set up a cron job under his name.

What is the right way to go? backup using the oracle user tasks? Can I know the oracle user - this would allow successful for the oracle user, crontab entry, or how to determine what is the password.

I could always change the oracle as a 'root' user password - but that would break something?

Thanks in advance for some background information (for you) and really need information for me.

    Hello

    (1) If you set the oracle user password, it do not affect DB or Apex.

    (2) if I understand correctly, default password is not set for the oracle user, so you can't use it to connect.
If you set the password using the passwd command, then you can log in with this username.
Some Linux forum can give the best answer to this question.

  • Problem to install Oracle 11 g - impossible to establish a remote connection

    In short:

I just installed Oracle 11 g and created a data base and the headset, but I'm unable to connect remotely with a customer database.

    My environment:

Oracle 11g is installed on a VirtualBox (4.3.18) Red Hat Linux 6.5 VM.  The host operating system is Mac OS X Yosemite.  Linux VM is assigned a static ip address and the host and vm have host entries to resolve this name server:

    192.168.58.152 rhel65opdev-vm

I am able to ping rhel65opdev-vm from these two places.

    Host: 64 bytes from 192.168.58.152: icmp_seq = 0 ttl = 64 time = 0,287 ms

    VM: 64 bytes of rhel65opdev-vm (192.168.58.152): icmp_seq = 1 ttl = 64 time = 0.027 ms

I am also able to ssh into the Linux vm without problem.  If I try to telnet to the virtual machine on the port of configured database:

    = > telnet rhel65opdev-vm 1521
    192.168.58.152 by train...
Telnet: connect to address 192.168.58.152: connection refused

Telnet: unable to connect to the remote host

Login as a user other my oracle on the same VM user, can I tnsping data base successfully:

    OK (10 ms)

The same user non-oracle, I am able to do appear SQLDeveloper and establish a connection with the database and check its schema.  But on the Mac, I am unable to use (the Mac version of) SQLDeveloper to do the same.  I get an error: IO error: the network adapter could not establish the connection.  Code 17002 provider.

I have another Red Hat 6.5 virtual VM from where I'm modeling this new machine, which has the same version of Oracle on it, installed and working (which I myself installed without problem, but a long time ago).  I am able to connect remotely to this base since my Mac using Toad and SQLDeveloper without problem and I can telnet to port of database and there is no problem.

I point out that I recently removed from the database and reinstalled.  I have created only one service: OP, but the OPXDB see below seems to be a previous installation, which can contribute to my question - not sure.

Here are a few releases of various orders, I tried following suggestions I've seen on different threads, I found through research:

    Hello

I agree to that, but I fear for ssh we need to reconfigure it or any what steps for ssh to manage the new oracle user password? Please guide me for the same thing.

You can change your password of user oracle (sagna), no impact on ssh, SSH does not use the password of the user oracle (sagna).
SHH information are based on hash keys and the password for SSH (own), not password of the Oracle user's operating system.

If you have a ssh problem. Visit the link below.

No, there is no impact of the change to the password of user oracle/root on the equivalence of the user and RAC.

When I run the Script in the Script Editor, I get the following error:

Error: An error occurred while running the script:

    -2147467259-data access error.

    Online: 19

If I see in the error log, it is as follows:

    ERROR:

    Code... - 2147467259

    Description... ORA-00903: invalid table name

    Process... clsDataAccess.farsTableAppend

    The component... upsWDataWindowDM

    Version.......................................... 1112

    Thread........................................... 41900

Nude of the line. 19 is as follows: Set rsAppend = DW. DataAccess.farsTableAppend (strWorkTableName) and, therefore, I thought that perhaps this is when I run the script in the Script Editor, perhaps that the value of the variable "strWorkTableName" does not get filled it is why it gives an error.

So I ran the import stage in the Workflow, and Got the following error:

Error: Failed to import. Data not valid or empty content.

and there is no entry in the error log.

I'm lost, need your help please.

One last thing, I would like to ask is kindly please post if my connection string is correct, either:

CNSS. Open "Provider = OraOLEDB.Oracle.1; Password = PSIP_TST; Persist Security Info = True; User ID = PSIP_TST; Data Source = PSIP.

I read that FDM is a 32-bit product and will require a connection 32-bit oledb provider.

FDM here is installed on a 64-bit computer and the provider that is used here in the connection string is 64-bit.

Please help, my work here came to a fixed support. Kindly help

That would mean that your 32-bit TNSNAMES. ORA file does not have a good connect descriptor for what you provide in the UDL file.

Check your TNSNAMES 32bits. ORA file and make sure you have a good connect descriptor for the Oracle database.

  • pass the query to oracle

    Hi all

How can I send a query to oracle using cfstoredprod?

    Try this:

    < datasource = "" #application.dsn # cfstoredproc "procedure =" #importTable #">"

    < cfprocparam type = 'in' cfsqltype = "cf_sql_refcursor" value = "#myQuery #" >

    < / cfstoredproc >

    The Oracle code:

Procedure importTable (v_table IN SYS_REFCURSOR) is

Error: [Oracle JDBC Driver] impossible to determine the type of the specified object.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

Get your drives and put them in a query object (if they aren't already), let's call it getRecs, and:

    INSERT ALL

          INTO schema.tableName(columnA, columnB, columnC, etc)
          VALUES (,,,)

       SELECT * FROM DUAL

You must include the "SELECT * FROM DUAL" after the loop to exit.  Connect it to your database (Oracle), insert all the lines and disconnect.  Place it in a CFTRANSACTION tag to make sure that they are all inserted or all cancelled.

  • Configure the new Oracle with HFM SSP database

    Hello

We have upgraded the oracle database to new version 11g. We use HFM 11.1.1.3 version. When I tried to configure the new database oracle with existing shared Services HFM, the EPM Configurator is suspended. Please could you clarify the below a few questions before starting the configuration of the database.

    1. don't we want to modify properties or configuration files before starting the EMP Configurator?

    2. If we want to edit the file reg.properties, which is the password shows in the file reg.properties (here is the structure of the reg.properties file)? If I have to give password of Oracle database schema?

    JDBC. URL = jdbc\:hyperion\:oracle\: / / xxxxx;
    password =?
    JDBC. Driver = Hyperion.JDBC.Oracle.OracleDriver
    local. Value = #.
    username = schemaname

    Thank you
    Michel K

Is it a new database server that you want to configure? As if he was just updated, you should not need to do anything.
If this is a new database server, then have a read of the doc within Oracle Support - "How To Change Shared Services repository database in EMP 11 [ID 976279.1]".

    See you soon
