• Oracle forms of many developers development environment

  I installed oracle 11 g 2 forms and weblogic on linux. I am able to test and run a form on it successfully.

  Now we intend to use it for many developers. My idea is that we should use the existing server weblogic as deployment for all forms of all developers.

  However to provide the forms of development etc generator, complete installation of weblogic and oracle forms server should be installed on every developer but this facility will be in development mode. Secondly, each form must be copied into the path of forms and form file cannot be deployed on weblogic as ear file online.

  My questions are

  There are several ways to answer your questions.  It would be as part of what could be "technically" and the other would be in the context of the license product allows you to do.

  Let's start by answering your questions directly:

  form 1 - can can be deployed on weblogic server as ear/war file online?

  No.  Forms applications are not the java (J2EE) applications.  That said, for the necessary files (fmb, mmb, pll) to a remote machine and prepare to be executable should be easy enough for most organizations.  Just let it drop the files to the correct location, compile and run.  Files can be moved to the server using ftp, shared, etc. drive.  You can even write your own application (for example, servlet) to help make this easier.  You can also create a forms (active WebUtil) application to help move the files on the local computer to the server computer.

  2 is that each developer will need to install the server weblogic and oracle forms 11 g r2 in mode of development on his pc? or they can share a single server of remote forms generator.

  In order to be in a "supported" configuration, each user intend to use the forms/States builders (IDE) must have a local copy on their computer and use it on the local computer.  Running the builders from a location remote only is not supported.  Refer to the Note MOS 68047.1 for more details.  This does not mean that the remote access will not work.  This simply means that Oracle Support cannot help you if problems occur with such a use of the product.

  Regarding the WLS installation part, a remote server can technically be used, but you always need to install on the computer where the builders.

  So, this brings me to the authorization of the present part.

  The license Developer Suite, which is required to use the manufacturers, is scheduled for local installation and local use of the product.  It is not intended to be used by remote users.  This would apply to both the tools and the runtime environment (server).  If you have one license deployment (e.g. Services forms/States, iAS-EE or WLS Suite) then you can develop your application (assuming that you also have an ID license) with your local builders, then back to application modules resulting remote installation of WLS (forms/reports and Services) in order to run/test the application.

  From a technical point of view, to use the 'Run the form' button in the report designer to access a remote deployment environment, simply change the value "Application Server URL" in the Runtime tab in the preferences.  As mentioned, it will be up to you to determine how you want to move the modules (fmb, mmb, pll) on the target computer and compile them.  Now when you press the button run the form, the form will run on the remote server.

  I am writing a script to start for all Oracle EPM services in a distributed environment. However, Essbase server does not seem to have its own service, then I wonder how I would script a start of the Essbase server on a remote server without it as a service.

  You will need to start Essbase via opmn service, that is, you must start the opmn which, in turn, will begin its process managed through opmnctl that controls essbase.
  or there are services in windows by name Oracle Process manager (EPM_epmsystemX)... you start here to begin your essbase.

• Oracle Forms URL not accessible outside the server

  Dear all,

  I am facing problems of access to the URL of Forms under Oracle Forms 11 g when you access from the server.

  Intended to test, I created a new Oracle Forms on a VMWare Server environment.

  Details on my environment

  Oracle Web Logic Server 11g R1 64-bit

  Oracle 11 g R2 64-bit forms and reports

  Virtual machine network connection works fine. I am able to Remote Desktop, sqlplus and access the Admin of WebLogic Console (port 7002) from my local system.

  But when connecting to the URL of the form it does not connect. It gives me the following error. Forms URL works fine when accessing the server.

  It seems you're connected to the Internet, but you might want to try to reconnect to the Internet.

  Be careful when you make changes.  If you are not familiar with the operation of the listeners, you can easily make a problem worse.  Assuming that you have installed using the "Deployment" installation option, the default non - ssl ports must be as follows:

  OSH - 8888

  Server administration WLS - 7001

  WLS_FORM - 9001

  WLS_REPORTS - 9002

  Once configured correctly, calling the forms or reports occurs through the same port of OSH.  Thus, for example:

  http://server:8888/forms/frmservlet ...

  http://server:8888/reports/rwservlet ...

• Is it possible to configure jpi_codebase to autodownload JRE for Oracle Forms 11.1.2.2.0 8?

  We are currently working with Oracle Forms and reports 11.1.2.2.0 (64-bit) using Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3.6 (64-bit) installed with the 64-bit JDK 1.7.0_40. Currently, we configure the YPI parameters (jpi_download_page, jpi_codebase, etc.) to use Java 7. Here is an excerpt from formsweb.cfg of that we deploy to end users to download a 7 Java JRE (Java 7u67 taking as an example):

  As we know that update of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 8 5 or higher is supported with clients running an Oracle Forms application 11.1.2.2.0 inside their Web browsers supported by the Oracle for the 11.1.2.2.0 forms certification matrix (we are aware that the JDK 8 is not supported with 11.1.2.2.0 forms) found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/es/middleware/docs/oracle-forms-111220certmatrix-2087910.xls?ssSourceSiteId=otnen We want to be able to set up automatic downloading for JRE 8 using the parameters of YPI formsweb.cfg (or help 'EM under "Setting up the Web"). As we know in Internet Explorer, the URL in the jpi_codebase parameter is where it can find the .cab file for the automatic download of the JRE. Even if it works well for JRE 6 and 7 of the JRE, if we were to use the configuration settings following parameter changed to 8 JRE:

  nothing happens in the browser launches the application Forms.

  Use the jpi_codebase setting, if we go directly to http://Java.Sun.com/update/1.8.0/jinstall-8u25-Windows-i586.cab to download the JRE, we get an error saying: "File not found."

  We went to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/autodownload-140472.html on the Oracle Web site, which explains the more information on the identification of the URL appropriate for auto-download of JRE, it only shows the URL for JRE 7u71 and 7u71 structure. We used this provision to JRE 8, but we get the "File not found" error when you use the URL directly.

  According to these results, someone happens to know if 8 JRE is currently available (or even supported) for automatic download by using the parameters of YPI in formsweb.cfg? We know that anyone can download the latest Java 7 or 8 Java JRE manually from Oracle, but it would be convenient if he could be auto-téléchargé if it is currently possible. It would be more a une question question for the forum Java or Java Runtime, let me know.

  During Setup in a distributed environment, provide a name for the new single instance that you configure each server. For example, if you use the epmsystem1 of name of default instance on the first server, and you keep the same names on the Server naming convention, you must create new, instance names unique on each subsequent server, like epmsystem2, epmsystem3, and > so now.

  What happens if I use the same path "d:\...\epmsystem1" on all servers in a distributed environment?

  It was originally a 11.1.2 install and then upgraded to 11.1.2.1 with 11.1.2 I think that the names of instances were the same in a distributed environment.

  First of all.  What is your version of forms (for example: 11.1.2.2.0 not 11g).  Finally, who will use the .csv file?  If it is a user on their client computer - CLIENT_TEXT_IO TEXT_IO or WebUtil are standard packages used to export data to a file of Oracle Forms.

  The amount of data to be exported?  If you export only a couple hundred lines - export of Froms will be OK.  If you export more lines than that (300 + lines) then the export will be extremely slow to your username.  Keep in mind that forms is not designed to perform data exports - there are better tools available for this...

  Apparently the people who helped create this software was last updated forum decided to restructure the many places as well as simply a change of software...

  ... but could not be bothered to document changes, they went to the URL for the new locations.

  FORMS are always, like REPORTS.

  They were buried at the following locations tree:

  It gets only installed, but you need to configure/deploy WebLogic admin server on 1 server. namely the Foundation Server.

  WebLogic is installed on each server, because the common component of EMP products rely on components of WebLogic.

  I recently got a license for Acrobat Pro DC develop PDF using Oracle Forms.

  But Oracle Support says I need

  PDF version 1.7 is Acrobat 8.x

  and adobe Support says that they do not support these versions.

  First go to your form's constructor. In the menu EDIT travel PREFERENCES can DURATION tab and set the location of the Web browser. Here, define the path of the executable file.

  And check out this link. Make Chrome default browser

• Use of the JRE instead of JInitiator causes problems of development of mouse for Oracle Forms

  We run Oracle Forms application based using JRE instead of JInititor.
  
  (1) the application is run on an individual laptop with Windows XP SP3 as an operating system.
  (2) with the help of oc4j of Oracle Developer Suite 10.2.0.1.0 to run the application
  (3) JInititor is more used and JRE version 1.6.0_26 or JRE version 1.6.0_27 used to launch the application. It works very well.
  (4) the browsers used to access the applicarion are IE8 and Mozilla Firefox 8.0.1
  
  Questions:
  (1) cannot have the focus of the mouse on an item. Even when the cursor seems to be in another element, for example after ctrl + E, point B article content watch editor has (which is the first on the form).
  (2) the LOV on any item shows what brings the LOV on section (first one on the form).
  (3) we are forced to use the keyboard to access the respective item all the time.
  
  Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem?
