  • memory usage by a process of oracle on sun Solaris

    Hello forum,.

    I want to track the memory usage by a process of oracle on sun solaris 64-bit SPARC system.

    I tried to do it by the command of the PMAC, but I found that the output for each pid (process oracle) is even around 8GB. Please note that the 8 GB is the size of our LMS.

    Please let me know the command by which I can check that "how much memory that uses an oracle on Sun Solaris Sparc 64-bit server process.

  • Given Oracle Spatial are stored in the database tables?

    Given Oracle Spatial are stored in the database tables?

    Oracle spatial is DBMS oracle server functionality. It allows you in NATIVE mode, store and manage all standard types of spatial data and their attributes and metadata in the oracle database enterprise, in the way that you are quite familiar with. on top of standard oracle database features, adds types of geographic data, spatial index, geometric operators and queries, functions, spatial and analytical, to name a few.

    MapViewer is a feature of Oracle Fusion Middleware, which makes cards using spatial data managed by Oracle Spatial. That's what you called "generator of maps. but of course, it's not just a map generator, he has much more to offer, such as MapBuilder, WMS, Oracle cards.

  • Script to collect information on an instance of rac oracle / Linux area normal conclusion?

    Hi all
    I have been instructed by the disaster recovery team to get a small quick script of race, to see what oracle instances are in a box, if it is raised, listener is running, etc.

    Normal, only one node instances so far, I've had success. I retrieve the data from the file/etc/oratab and parse try it with awk to get an ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME and.

    This script is run as a user to the dba group, or the oracle so that each instance I try login through SQL * more than connect / as sysdba and not a request to collect information for instance that I echo the screen to determine that the instance is high and connectable.

    The problem I encountered, if there is an instance listed for a node in a RAC cluster... he can't see/etc/oratab entries are quite the same using dbca for RAC nodes as normal nodes.

    For example, say I have a RAC cluster that rac3 and rac1 rac2 nodes.

    From what I see... on the individual nodes, in the/etc/oratab entries only seem to put in for the cluster CCR, rather that say rac1. My script that tries to set the oracle sid and home and connect / as sysdba fails. If the entry has been made there as rac1, it should work, I think.

    Can anyone make any suggestions for me to use with this script, so that I can know which instance of node is running, if CARS is located on the computer... and automatically find and connect similar to how I am doing with the unique databases using/etc/oratab

    Is there a similar to/etc/oratab file that is used by the clusterware on the system?

    Thanks in advance,

    Why don't doing by pmon... which I think does not work if she is down but up... you can just run something like:

    ps - ef | grep - v grep | grep pmon | cut '_' f d 3

    or... you could use the oracle_sid you get from oratab (dbname in this case... for example) and run the following:

    srvctl status database-d $sid_from_oratab | grep 'hostname ' | AWK '{print $2} '.

    Hi KB,

    Try to set up the two devices in same vlan first and test your strategies.

    Just add vlan switch with number 10 or whatever it is and connected ports or the virtual card on vlan 10 for connectivity.

    It could be that useful...

  • Check the installed oracle components are actually used in the database

    I got a new database I have to optimize. So I think to delete some installed components that I think are not be used somehow in the database (IE procedures calls etc.). I see a whole bunch of components as "ODD", 'ORDIM', which I think are not used, but previous DBAs have installed them. So, is it possible to make sure that no part of the database are actually using these components so that I can remove these components. Also, what are your expert comments on it?

    Is it a production or a development environment? If an object is not used then this isn't necessarily a problem (performance wise) unless it is either cluttering up your dictionary or raising concerns regarding the consumption of unnecessary space. Personally, I would recommend that it is preferable to resolve what is to be used / taken of resources. It is maybe once a year report or a few old utility out once a year, the best monitoring, why those things are there.

    If you go down the road of a fall, rather than drop anything immediately block accounts for an agreed period to ensure that the scheme is not used & check all references other schemas of objects in the schema that you intend to drop, potentially of audit to check if they are being called by other patterns / verification dba_dependencies between schemas and objects using a hierarchical query to check the sub-levels.

    There are also quite a few standard Oracle components that are installed by default that have interdependencies and not necessarily be used in the dictionary (control dba_features_usage_statistics)

    I want to instatll oracle 11g on the 32-bit version of solaris i386.

    Please give me the link where I can download oracle 11g 32-bit software...

    I've been looking for the oracle site, but I have foung for 64 bit.

    Thanks in advance.

    Salvation;

    I think that you have 64-bit system. Please confirm with your supplier. If you're on 64 bit you can use 11 GR 2 but if you're on 32-bit, you can use only 10 gr 2

    My question is why my 30 to 66 sequence archivelog file are not saved with the database in v$ archived_log and how to solve this problem.

    Thank you
    Umesh

    You may need to increase the CONTROL_FILE_RECORD_KEEP_TIME value.

    If the archivelogs are still on the disk, you can try to catalog them with:

    RMAN> catalog start with '/home/oracle/DataBaseBackups/ArchiveDest/;

    or if you don't need the file you can simply remove the o/s and run the following:

    RMAN> crosscheck archivelog all;
    RMAN> delete expired archivelog all;

    You can update the Photoshop to the 2015.5 version and check if that helps.

  • Apex Oracle Login area align right

    Hello
    I have a requirement for a login page of custom Apex in which connection area must be located on the right side. The rest of the page is a background image. I know how to change the page template to add the background image, but have been unable to do in the region of connection to right-align.
    Thank you

    OK - for this theme, add styl e = "" float: right; " " immediately after the div id = "login" text (i.e. in the same tag)

    (extra space in 'style' added to stop the tag are used in the post)

  • Oracle logs are wrong timestamp

    My DBA is woking on a fresh install of EM12c on Oracle Grid Infrustructure on a stand-alone server using ASM. She has problems with the installation of Oracle Restart. This issue, she works through a SR of Oracle.

    Operating system Linux OL6.2

    I'm the Admin and Linux troubleshooting, I found that newspapers under $ORACLE_HOME/log seem to have incorrect timestamps in their breast.

    For example -.
    #ls - the /oracle/OracleHomes/11.2/grid/log/bkvlnxgrid02/alertbkvlnxgrid02.log
    -rw - rw - 1 oracle oinstall 19915 16 Oct 09:12 /oracle/OracleHomes/11.2/grid/log/bkvlnxgrid02/alertbkvlnxgrid02.log

    It is the time correct system.

    But the newspaper the time is in the future of nine hours-

    # tail /oracle/OracleHomes/11.2/grid/log/bkvlnxgrid02/alertbkvlnxgrid02.log
    2012-10-16 18:12:19.918
    [evmd (8286)] CRS - 1401:EVMD started the bkvlnxgrid02 node.

    The var is correct, the database system time is correct and/etc/sysconfig/clock zone entry is correct.

    All the world has noticed this problem?

    Hello

    This question is about the time zone. Oracle uses another time zone should be put somewhere and need to find out where.

    Check if profile/current oracle variables, and the root of the user for the Environment Variable 'TZ '.

    Put here the output of:

    $ set |grep TZ

    You can also try to reconfigure your date and time zone.

    # system-config-date

    Try to set the variable TZ on Oracle your Environment Variables, and then restart HAS with configured TZ variable:
