  What I try to do is not simple; at least for me, if it was, I would have it already.

  I posted a similar question in the applications forum but I realized to borrow this way can take me a little.

  What I try to do is set a few html code in php include file, I know how to do.

  Then add a link to my page that puts the html content of the include file when a link is clicked.

  So I'll have several files, each offering a different html content that will be written to the page when the individual links are click on include.

  That's what I do not know how. Get the content of the include page file when a link is click.

  This idea is a simple placeholder until I can learn how to use PHP/MySql and Dreamweaver dynamic behaviors and or functions.

  
  I read on it currently, creation of user account (login/Blog Post).

  I know that maybe it's not the best area, but I was looking for ideas from the PHP experts attending this part of the forum, as Mr. Powers.

  By the way you use PHP include to indicate the page current is a method of killer! Save a load of time.

  PC you son, temporarily disable firewall on your computer, including the Windows Firewall and see if that helps.

  With WEP, you must enter WEP "key 1" (found in the router) in your computer, not the WEP password or passphrase.

  If you still have problems, follow these steps:

  First of all, in the router give your network a unique SSID. Do not use "linksys". If you use "linksys", you can try to connect the router to your neighbor. Also set 'SSID Broadcast' to 'active '. This will help your computer to find and lock on the signal from your router.

  In addition, in the computer, go to your wireless software and go to 'Favorite networks' (sometimes called 'Profiles'). There are probably a few listed networks. Remove any network called "linksys". Also remove any network that you don't recognize or that you no longer use. Delete your current network (this will remove all old settings.)  Restart the computer.  Return to "Preferred networks" and re-enter your current info from the network (SSID, encryption (if any) and key (if any)). Select your current network and make your network by default, then set it to auto login. You may need to go to 'settings' to do this, or you may need to right click on your network and select 'Properties' or 'settings '.

  If the above does not solve your problem, download and install (or reinstall) the latest driver for your wireless card.

• Question of the application of other machines access

  Hi all.
  I installed Peoplesoft 9.1, PT8.52 (Oracle database 11G 64-bit) on windows 2008 server 64-bit and a HRMS DEMO DB on one machine virtual PSDEMOVM.
  I also installed Oracle 11 G client 32 and configured a client workstation PS on another machine virtual PSDEMOWS.
  I installed the app and web servers and the application is finally running.
  
  I added the IP and the URL address in the Hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ on server and client machines.
  Note that no proxy is enabled on both machines.
  Now I am able to access the application on the server, but not the same customer if I can ping and the server of this machine tnsping.
  
  Are there additional configuration on the client machine?

  Can you ping your client server.domain.com?
  If you can it ping, so make sure that your port is added as a rule in the firewall of the server.
  Also ensure that the client proxy have an exception to server.domain.com.

  If you can't ping, make sure that the server and the client are connected to the same network and make sure that the file hosts on the client takes into account the IP address and the host name of the server.

  I'm curious, what exactly is your problem?

  The system requirements for PSE14 and ss14 requires Quick Time 7 on Win or Mac.

  I just checked that I had not installed on my PSE14 on 10 to win Quick Time 7. No problem, but I rarely videos, and I have other viewing software like VLC media player.

  Just out of curiosity, I installed Quick Time 7 without problem.

  Wouldn't be a problem with Premiere Elements or Mac?

• General question about the themes...

  Good day to all... A few Questions on the themes and my options for my app:

  Im running 4.2.4 on XE currently... and Im using the 25 responsive Blue theme...

  Some of my users are commenting that the application takes a bit of screen estate leaving less room for the actual data. They also comment that it's a bit boring!   (and for reference, they also use applications created using DevExpress by another development team... (https://demos.devexpress.com/RWA/SalesViewer/RevenueBySector.aspx) for an example...

  So, I'm looking for options theme... If I look at the standard themes, I have 4 themes style HTML5 (23-26), which all use a lot of screen space (probably because they are designed with tablets in mind)...  But if I want to use a smaller style then Im left with just two styles a bit smaller (21 and 22). Who are both very close and very grey and bland... (let's call it company)...

  I have also to search the Web and found very few themes available... There are a few sites, but nothing spectacular...  So on my questions:

  Ive been told I should not use the existing themes, as are day a non-compliant with new browsers. However, some are very nice, and it's a shame, that they should not be used...

  Did someone knows if they will become in the future, is it possible to migrate the? What are the implications of the use of one of the old legacy themes?

  Version 5 will implement some new themes?

  Are at - it somewhere that Ive missed all good themes 'out there'... ?

  What other ways are there to customize the new themes...   As discussed in one of your previous threads, some 'legacy' themes are older than others. I wouldn't really classify a focus standards mode introduced in APEX 4.0 as "legacy", unless you need a complete support on mobile devices. As already said, I would like to avoid completely the themes of quirks mode 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19 and 20.

  Unlikely. A few fairly important bugs in original/first themes have never been fixed, so it is unlikely that Oracle will spend any effort to change them in the future.

  Regarding the themes inherited from 'real' quirks mode (marked with a ' * ' and listed above), my advice would be Don ' t bother. IMO, none of them are visually interesting enough to be worth the effort. Migration would imply:

  1. Adding a DOCTYPE HTML5 at all page templates to the trigger standards mode
  2. Validate the HTML code for all models
  3. Modify the HTML code to make it as standards compliant as possible
  4. Validate the CSS for all style sheets
  5. Edit the CSS to make it as standards compliant as possible
  6. The appearance test, dynamic behavior and accessibility in all required browsers
  7. Fixing of Visual rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility (HTML, CSS and JS)
  8. Repeat 2 until levels required compliance to standards, rendering, dynamic behavior and accessibility are met.

  It's not trivial.

  What are the implications of the use of one of the old legacy themes?

  The themes 'true' legacy to be run in quirks mode, there will be problems with:

  • Lack of support for some features of APEX 4.x (for example, selectors of the region and interactive reports on the theme)
  • Incompatibility with jQuery waiting / requires the standard mode
  • Incompatibility with modern browsers and devices (pre - 4.x themes have been designed to be compatible with IE6 and equivalent browsers)
  • Incompatibility with modern HTML and CSS features due to running in quirks mode (there is a problem in Internet Explorer more than other browsers)
  • Accessibility issues
  • Difficulty overall customization appearance due to the incorporation of Visual elements (images and background colors) in table HTML layouts

  Designed for Internet Explorer, the situation is much worse. Basically, there is no support for everything that didn't work in IE6 (for some values of 'work'). This means no CSS3, no support for many useful things from the CSS 2.1 (e.g. attribute selectors) specification and no support for the various elements and HTML attributes.

  For the themes "inherited" standards mode, there will be fewer questions, probably mainly related to accessibility and support for non-bureau devices.

  Probably not. Especially for a novice not familiar with more advanced CSS techniques.

  This is likely to be amazingly difficult as the new themes make great use of the edge of CSS technical bleeding with several layers of rules to specify the appearance of a component. Heavy duty also includes CSS sprite images, which means that this customization requires editing of image as a substitute or changes to the CSS rules. See the following for examples:

  With the great help here, I'm learning to do (developer) FMS works for me before decide me on buying WSSF or FMIS.

  I am now able to understand tutorials of Tom Green much better and make use of the information. His tutorial 3rd in 7 parts for FMS guide leaves me with some questions.

  -Unless I misread it, it says you can use the VOD folder in FMS to stream since then but FMIS requires the use of records _definst_?

  -If I have 100 videos and I use FMIS, create a _definst_ for each of them?

  -Are there anything preventing one doing the thing _definst_ with FMS?

  I have another question which more or less about this, but I will post in another thread because it's a littl emuch group with this investigation.

  I don't think that its so complicated but can understand sometimes things can be a bit intimidating at first.

  I'll try to explain a bit here:

  application - in order to perform any task with FMS, you must connect to FMS and the particular application. Now "application" can be defined by logical user - in this case you will need to write your code in the file called "main.asc" that must be present under the application that you create. Now, if you do not call needs for any code server - then its just empty request. FMS comes with the loan to the use of 'live' and 'vod' applications (but they are specially packaged applications that you can not change - they are applications signed - please do not get confused here - if you want we can talk about this later)

  stream - now for "VOD" you won't find any "flow" instead of that folder you'll find the media folder where all your media files would be present. Now, when you create your own application, you will need to create the folder of streams in your application package. Under flow, you need to create the folder "_definst_" and keep all your media here - but this is not forced. "_definst_" indicates that the instance by default - this means that whenever someone connects to your application without specifying an instance name - it will connect to the _definst_

  I also see that you want to separate your files by type - I'll give you solution the simplest where you don't have to write code server-side

  So lets take example

  You want to create the application called "firstapp" and you have three media files rock.mp3, jazz.mp3 and hip-hop.mp3 (I'm no expert of music - but all these files are like different say)

  So first create folder named "firstapp" under the "applications" of FMS directory.

  Now under "firstapp" folder, create the folder called 'stream '. Now under "streams" create 3 folders - "rock", "jazz" and "hiphop". Now place rock.mp3 inside the 'rock' record, jazz.mp3 inside the folder «jazz» and hip-hop.mp3 inside the folder 'hiphop '.

  You are now ready to go with some codes on the client side:

  Customer who chooses to listen to rock, so we need to connect using connection uri like:-"rtmp: / //firstapp/rock ' and the name of the stream as"mp3:rock.mp3 ".

  So in the same way others would connect accordingly:

  Connect you to the help - "rtmp: / //firstapp/jazz" and play "mp3:jazz.mp3".

  "rtmp: / //firstapp/hiphop" and play "mp3:hip-hop.mp3".

  Hope this helps - but I would seriously recommend that read you the docs of FMS starting with

  Yes, another question regarding the freezing of Safari.

  From a little over a month (I think), Safari started freezing regularly whenever I want to open new tabs or switch between tabs. I found myself to leave the program several times per day / hour. I can't identify any specific common cause (other than my MacBook being old) or any new software or updates that might have initiated the question. At first I thought he might have many tabs, I tried to open, but recently it happens even with only a few tabs open.

  I worked through the steps I found in this forum and others: empty the cache, start in safe mode, etc nothing works.

  Based on the previous suggestions, I have downloaded and run EntreReport which I included below. The note and maybe just a distraction, but EntreReport has crashed three times tonight, before he was able to produce the sub report. I ran the report after restarting my system with no other programs running.

  Suggestions are welcome at this stage because I want to start using Chrome or Firefox because I like the transfer procedure between my devices.

  The speed of the memory is related on the material. This means that the FSB is responsible for the limitation.
  If the FSB would allow support 667 MHz then the memory would also at this speed.

  The memory depends on the chipset. So if the chipset supports 4 GB of RAM, you should be capable of this move to 4 GB of RAM

  It might be possible that the new processor would be fully supported by the BIOS, but in most cases it should not be a problem if the chipset would support the new processor.
  But as far as I know the upgrade of the CPU is not supported by Toshiba or any other manufacturers of portable and its your own risk to run laptop with the new processor.

• Question about the temperature of the processor and the use of Vista on Satellite Pro M70

  I have Satellite Pro M70-113 and it has Intel mobile Pentium 1.86 GHz CPU.
  The problem is that its normal temperature is 80 degrees Celsius... while I use the browser and other common programs...
  and recently it automatically shut off twice and pressing the button works / stop won't turn on... when I unplugged, replugged the power cord so I could only turn it on...

  And while playing games, it would of course go above 100 degrees...

  So you know what is the max temp through which the CPU can go without stop or damage the CPU or surrounding a circuit?
  I know that when I bought this laptop about 2 years back... it was not warm this...

  And by the way this laptop came with WXP Pro preinstalled and doesn't show any vista capable logo (because at the time, there was no such promotion of Microsoft, as it was the year 2005, Nov).

  Now, I use vista and upgraded to 1 GB of RAM and I have no problem using the Vista pc.

  Secondly, I did not update my BIOS to version the most recent is available.

  Although I'd love to have updated the BIOS but I worry about the bad flashing and says BIOS driver update page that the version of the BIOS doesn't support vista - whatever that means? If I go back to Windows XP Home edition after installing the BIOS for vista, the pc will not be usable for WXP or what?

  Is there any link to the processor heats to the old version of the BIOS, I'm still using... will update BIOS facilitated the temperature?

  No, I'm kidding; with regard to your questions:

  First of all you must clean your CPU cooling with compressed air, because if the breakdown is clobbed with dust and then it s just logical that your processor is a little bit more 'hot' then 2 years before.

  The max temp is available on the website of intel. I think that the section is called "intel spec finder" or something similar.
  With Vista and bios: you need to update your bios, since then some improvements are making more compatible bios for vista.
  But don t worry, XP won´t be unusable if you update your bios, the bios-update brings improvements for vista, but does not degrade anything about XP.

  If the bios update will solve this temporary problem is not clearly, rather a cleaning as I told you will be better.
