  OK, so I've got a blackberry 9300 and I had downloaded app facebook, I tried to update and my phone said that I had to remove the app that I have to update, so I did, but I think it has completely removed fom my camera! It is not on my phone, is not the app world, I tried to go on facebook via the internet on my phone and the bottom of the page, it says "Download the facebook app for blackberry" or something along those lines and that does'nt the same job! For any help or suggestion will be amazing! Help please! He drives me crazy!

• BlackBerry Smartphones Facebook app has no icon "favorite places".

  My wife has a BB Torch, and we do not find the "Favorite places" icon on the Ribbon or banner of the Facebook app.  I pressed the menu button and control options, but there is nothing in there.  I tried to check the updates from the front but it was leaving tick check automatically.  GPS location is enabled in system properties.  Any suggestions?

  Remove all instances of Facebook on the device, then do a hard reset. Start App World and empty the cache, then try to install Facebook go to App World.

  Hi all

  Have recently upgraded via the updater for Facebook v1.8.0.49 appworld

  In the previous version when a notification came through Facebook it would make appear an icon on the home screen of facebook and NOT send an email to the email address on blackberry.

  For example, I have an email address BIS set up on my camera (mobileemail.vodafone.net) and also have the blackberry facebook app messaging service enable (checked) in the facebook app and also the "blackberry Smartphone notifcation" checked in the facebook of PC through iexplorer.

  Before only facebook notifications came as the app or facebook knew it was the same address, since the upgrade I now get both an email to my BIS email account and a notification icon appears.

  I change anything in the options.

  (now tried logging in and out, reticking options, etc, nothing)

  Y at - it a new option, or is this a bug of upgrade. The application of face book has only delete the email and now sends to the device?

  Since typing this my wife with the 8520 just told me that she has the same problem.

  Does anyone else have this?

  This isn't a major problem as long as at least I'm getting a nowt rather than email and notification.

  Remove your Facebook app in Options > Advanced Options > Applications.

  Reinstall it from www.blackberry.com/facebook and when running through the Facebook set up the wizard, see if you are now able to connect to your calendar.

  Just to be clear, you are opening your browser and typing "www.blackberry.com/facebook" in there?  I do that and I get redirected to a page on the blackberry.com website has nothing on this subject but a download link for facebook.  No AppWorld, nothing else.

  I recommend using Knowyou to load so it seems that it's just a bar file.  Here are some instructions for the use of Knowyou.  The instructions are for the snap-snap-in installation (which, if you haven't, I highly recommend if you are on OS 10.2.1.xxx) and you can use the same instructions for the installation of the file (s) Facebook bar

  Yes, it is possible to remove the entries from Facebook - you need the BlackBerry Desktop Software to do this (available at www.blackberry.com/software/desktop)

  First of all make sure that you back up your calendar - there will be a stage where the database will be cleared out.

  Here's what you can do:

  1. In Facebook, go to Menu > Options and make sure that the control is removed from Connect to the BlackBerry calendar
  2. Connect your BlackBerry to the desktop software
  3. Back up your data
  4. On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > default Service
  5. Change the calendar by default of this current selection to Facebook (remember the current default value to change it back later)
  6. Desktop software go to device > delete data and change the blue button on selected data
  7. Scroll down until you see calendar - there is also a calendar - everything, but you do not want this option. You should see that the figures for these are different. Calendar is the current calendar, which in this case is now on Facebook.
  8. If you want to save these data once more, just in case, you have the possibility to save before deleting the date.
  9. When the removal has completed, disconnect your BlackBerry.
  10. Consult your calendar - Facebook entries should now removed
  11. In your Options > Advanced Options > Services by default, change the default calendar to the default initial value

  I was previously running Facebook app v1.5 with no problems but the version update v1.6.  I am able to see that it has installed in applications, but there is not an icon to select to access the application.

  I've deleted and reinstalled (several times) and showed all the icons that are hidden, but it is not listed.

  I've seen comments suggesting that all records be searched, but I'm not sure how to do this.  When connected via USB, I can only see files such as photos, music, ringtones, etc... I don't see anything for the applications or downloads.  I installed BBFileScout and sought to Facebook, but it is not found.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  Can anyone help? I upgraded my blackberry for the "BOLD" yesterday and you have downloaded Facebook for the smartphone. I can't find the Facebook icon on my desktop! I thought that perhaps it had not been properly downloaded so I tried it again and got a message saying I already got it. On my old blackberry, I had an icon on my desktop but fails on my new "BOLD".
