  After the upgrade, I installed the latest tools in the virtual machine, see Agent 5.1.2 - 928164 and the driver audio Teradici on my shot.  I have not updated the machine hardware version.

  I enabled host hiding on my pool, and the pool is set to refresh immediately on logoff.  When I stop or disconnect from the session to view, I see an error in vCenter like this:

  Reconfigure virtual machine VMPool-3 cannot complete the operation because the file or folder [VM_POOL_LUN 12] VMPool-3/VMPool-3-mark - point.vmdk already exists

  Then it creates a new folder with a _1 on the store of data for this reason:
  VMPool-3 (original)
  VMPool-3_1 (duplicate)

  Once I turn off host cache the problem does not occur.

  Has anyone seen this problem?  I currently have a ticket open with VMware.

  I upgraded one of my sites to view 5.3 w / vCSA 5.5 and 5.5 ESXi and this problem no longer exists.

  Is there a script that I can run to join the ESXi hosts Active Directory?  I have over 100 guests that I need to join AD and want to add it script instead of using the GUI VC.

  You can browse all of your servers, but you would need to make fully automated, is get the credentials somewhere.

  You have different passwords on all ESXi servers?

  In this case, you could do something like that

  $cred = get-Credential # prompt for user and password

  Get-VMHost | Set-VMHostADDomain -ADJoin:$true -Domain$domain-Credential $cred

  If you do not have the same account/password for all servers ESXi, you want probably asked for each host.

  You could possibly temporarily store in a file and read this file.

  $accounts = @ {}

  Import-Csv "C:\accounts.csv" | %{

  $accounts [$_.hostname] = $_.password

  }

  Get-VMHost | Set-VMHostADDomain -ADJoin:$true -Domain$domain-User root -Password $accounts[$_.Name]

  The CSV file contains 2 columns, called host name and the other called password.

  We read the CSV file and store the passwords in a hash table, where the host name is the key.

  We use the hash table to fetch the password of the Set-VMHostADDomain cmdlet tree.

I bought a copy of the HP12C Platinum PC software online on the website of the HP Calculator but could not get the software to enable the use of the information provided by HP/MyCommerce.  Online activation treats 6 times attempts and fails to tell me I am offline to the Internet and then offers an offline activation process, but the listed URL (http://activate.hpclaculating.com) does not exist.  Digital River/MyCommerce support tell me to contact HP via [email protected] , but my emails remained unaswered for more than a week.  Can someone help me or telling me how to activate the software or get HP to allow mycommerce.com to pay back me money paid for a product that cannot be activated?

  I would like to know when a host stops polling in the MC of the CSA. Is it possible to create an alert to send an e-mail or an SNMP trap when an agent has not interviewed in the MC for a certain period of time?

  Hi Mike,.

  A quick solution for now is to create a set of events and email alerts using the event type ' Management Center: did not actively polling hosts find ' that will send you a list of inactive hosts. The event is generated every 24 hours and contains all hosts not activelty of the vote.

  Guests are considered as inactive if they missed three polling intervals or not questioned the MC in the past 24 hours.

  No more digging away I don't know other options.

  My lap top used to run under XP.  Three years ago, I bought disks to upgrade Home Premium 7.  These have been ordered on the Ms site and arrival of the Ireland (32 + 64 bit versions) and I got on the phone for a key (?) product activation key (?)

  I am now (after 3 years) request an activation key!
  I tried the number gave me, but it starts with 00, and when I entered it said that 0 is an invalid number.

  Yes, your esxi install on any of your virtual machine in your VMware Workstation during installation, you will get the details to specify a static ip address and once installed, when you want to manage this esxi in your vsphere client, that you must use the same username ROOT and password defined during installation and the IP address to connect through your vsphere client.

• CS3 Too many Activations

  Hi all

  After several years of not using CS, I'm trying to reinstall my suite CS3 on my current computer.

  When I try to activate using my original software keys (one for Acrobat Pro, one for the CS Suite), I got the error message "too many Activations" and am directed to enter another key or buy a new product.

  I attempted to use the Adobe Chat support, but was first transferred to volume license, and then says CS3 was is longer supported via Chat support (both times after long discussions and waiting and having provided software keys and version numbers at the front).

  Because I have more access to the (much longer) machine, on which it was installed, I have no way to disable. And without the support of someone from Adobe in order to reset the activation counter, it looks like I'm stuck buying another copy :-/

  Any suggestions?

• Allocation of vSphere with a host operations management licenses

  Hi all

  How in the world I assign VMware vSphere with standard 5.5 license management operations to a host? The implementation has been green field, so we bought the acceleration for vCenter server kit that comes with 6 licenses vSphere with the direction of the operation. I've got Ops Manager works well and himself is allowed and can see all hosts. We also bought 12 additional licenses for 18 in total, and I can see the other 12 and assign them to hosts, but can not see the original 6. I never could.

  Finally, I called support license and solved it. I had to downgrade 6 Operations Manager vCenter licenses in order to see them. My hosts are all on ESX 5.1. The downgrade is made of my.vmware.com--> license keys--> I want to: Downgrade from licenses. He worked as expected after that.

  How can I include these 9 goods because I don't see them when I run a get-Member on my vmhost object?

  Put more RegEx matches that you need and for each specify you the correct index.
